Thai tea tiramisu and strawberry matcha latte, cheddar and chives biscuit
Tungtungtung S.

Ordered the thai tea tiramisu and strawberry matcha latte and both are good! Thai tea is not so sweet and not so bitter either, it's a perfect balance. The strawberry matcha latte is the same as well, the matcha could be a lil stronger but the strawberry puree is rlly good. The cheddar and chives biscuit is savory, the combo tastes immaculate, great for something to snack on. THIS IS YUMMY I WOULD COME BACK tungtungtungsahur rates 5/5

Salt coffee and coconut coffee

So happy to see that a new coffee shop is open on Piedmont Avenue. 55 Coffee is now open and we stopped by today to try some drinks. I ordered the Salt cream coffee and my sister got the coconut cream coffee. We both loved our drinks. Friendly service, easy ordering through their QR code. Can't wait to come back and try more drinks. They are located inside The Saap Avenue restaurant so it's very easy to find.

I almost ate the box

Great vibes very friendly staff will be coming back! All the drinks are delicious and unique. Great addition to the area excited to see what comes next for this place

Blueberry Latte and Strawberry Matcha Oatmeal :)

This place has never failed me in terms of quality. I can't walk out of here and ever say, "This didn't taste good or live up to my expectations." The people are friendly and the environment is great. Definitely stop by if you haven't already! Everything has been delicious. If you want recommendations try their Blueberry Latte w/ salted sweet cream and Strawberry Matcha Oatmeal.

Questionable area... but worth it! The inside is clean and well maintained. The staff are so so…read morekind and welcoming. I ordered the Hanoi Egg Coffee. Yes. It's perfect. Strong phin dripped coffee with the perfect amount of sweetness and creamy goodness. You are able to customize as well which is great. I ordered it as advertised and I wouldn't change it.

The lady behind the counter removed some of the ice, and told me that I needed to request "less ice" when I order. Then when I told her I already asked for less ice, she back tracked and said that what I received was already "less ice" and that the coffee is pretty strong and needed ice to dilute it - and that next time I need to request for even more less ice. It was troubling to me that this was brushed off as somehow my fault and to "come back next time" in order to get the drink I requested and paid for. I tasted it and came back within a minute, because it didn't really taste like sesame flavor at all- and as I was coming back in I saw a man leave with two of the same drink which looked like it had more sesame cream than what was in my drink. I told the person behind the counter this, and the response was how the man was a repeat customer from the previous day so again, how could anything be wrong with the drink I received? She took my drink and added more sesame but who knows - I couldn't see and she said she " mixed it in for me"- it looked exactly the same. Anyways, this had been such a frustrating experience with too much back and forth for what should've been a really simple solve.

The space is lovely. I love a cafe that has different seating options in terms of height, and there is a lovely spacious outdoor area as well. It's functions well as a work and social gathering space. I tried a guava pastry that was delicious and got a lot of work done (I worked in 3 spots since I like to move around when I work). Service was great, and there are so many drink options as well! Looking forward to returning soon!

Part coffee shop, part cocktail bar - I'll take one of each please! They make good, hand-crafted cocktails; the espresso martini, topped with ancho chili powder is my partner's favorite, he will request to go here specifically for this beverage. I don't believe they have a food program besides some pastries. Would love to see some breakfast and lunch options offered; it would entice us to hang out even longer. Music is good and upbeat - definitely extra points from me on that. Pay attention to the leaflets/posters and other materials they have at the entrance and around the establishment, you might be pleasantly surprised at what you find. Last time we were in, I picked up a calendar of free classes on various highly useful skills, offered by a local organization. I highly recommend checking out the classes, and would have never found them if not for Mother Tongue. Open 7 to 7 daily, which is great. We'll be in again soon.

This timed, I tried the pumpkin spice latte (iced). I came in on a Sunday afternoon so it wasn't busy and my drink was made within a few minutes. I just want to give a shoutout to the staff because they're always so friendly and lively. It really makes for a warm and inviting atmosphere. The drink was delicious! What I liked about this pumpkin spice latte is that I can taste the spices in the drink such as the cinnamon that really warms your taste buds. These drinks in general are also not incredibly sweet so you can identify the flavors and it isn't one-note at all. It's the perfect drink for fall and I'm so glad I was able to try it! There was a lot of people in there 1/2 an hour before closing too so I'm sure the place is good. I tried something new cause I usually love this drink: banana matcha, (Even though i originally came to try something else) but I was disappointed. Matcha flavor was really light and so was the banana flavor. It was more of a light matcha milk, if you will. I will come back to try what I originally wanted to drink (horchata matcha latte, I believe it was) cause I really think they have good drinks. I've heard great things from friends so maybe I just got a bad drink, off day, or because it was a new drink on the menu, it just hasn't been perfected yet? Not sure but just wasn't what I usually expect from a matcha drink. Other than that, service was great. The cashier was really nice. I was able to find street parking really easily as well. (If you do try the banana matcha, maybe ask for less milk!)
