Passing by Columbia & this place did not disappoint! Great customer service. It is also so aesthetically pleasing. Clean, well stocked restrooms. We went with a white mocha hot latte and the gingerbread cinnamon hot coffee. They were both so good! Not too sweet, just right. I had the bagel turkey and avocado sandwich. Hubby had the roast beef sandwich. The roast beef sandwich had coleslaw which complemented it so well! Everything was so good. Saving this place in case we happen to be in Columbia again. read more

Had lunch here for the first time today and shared a Chinese chicken wrap. It was super fresh, and very tasty. It came with regular and barbeque chips, plus a snappy dill pickle. We have visited Towne Coffee several times in the last month & have been impressed every time!! The lattes are excellent (both hot and cold) & the food is amazing! I've tried quite a few things on the menu - steak sandwich, Chinese Chicken Salad, lemon blueberry loaf, cinnamon rolls, bacon/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich, a Chicken Caesar wrap - & a couple more, but my point is each & every one of these was absolutely delicious! Tons of flavor options for their lattes-- I tried peanut butter, which was actually pretty tasty. The breakfast menu is fairly vast for such a small place. I tried the yogurt pot, and it was light and fresh! And priced reasonably. Service was nice and patient as we took a while to decide on our order. Cute shop right off the highway. Amazing food and coffee, not to mention the awesome owners: David and Betsy! They have a passion for what they do and pour everything they've got into this business. You will not find better breakfast or lunch anywhere in town! You can call ahead or order online, so it is an excellent place to swing by and pick up something before work or on your lunch break. Additionally, the space is absolutely beautiful and has a refreshing, welcoming vibe! It's a great place to eat a meal or enjoy a delicious coffee! Be mindful that Towne Coffee serves fresh food made to order, so your food may not be done in 90 seconds as it would at a fast food restaurant. I ordered a coffee and food and once I paid, they asked me to drive around so they could get the payment for the next customer. The 2nd time around she gave me my coffee but my food wasn't ready so she asked me to drive around AGAIN and it would only take 90 seconds. Just so they could then get the payment of the next customers order. This experience was annoying, not convenient, and she was annoyed with me because I didn't understand there system and why I had to KEEP going around. I don't understand why they couldn't just give me all my order at once! Main concern was getting everyone's money so you would have to just wait. This process took 15mins in a DRIVE THRU that only had 3 cars at it. Never again read more

I would drive 20 miles out of the way for their Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese sandwich! Simply outstanding flavor and presentation. 5 stars all the way! A perfect little coffee shop that's super clean and with welcoming updated decor. Excellent coffee and breakfast. I had the Americano and it was the best I have ever had. Established in 2021.

Towne Café is the realization of David Wood’s longtime dream, named in honor of Towne Deli—the place where he began his journey in the food industry over 35 years ago. During a weekend getaway in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, David and his wife Betsy found themselves in the charming town of Mount Pleasant, TN. Captivated by the community and atmosphere, they were inspired to take a leap—and decided to open a coffee shop that had recently become available. Both the coffee and menu quickly became local favorites, and when the opportunity arose to move to a busier location in Columbia, TN, David and Betsy jumped at the chance. They transformed a long-vacant former Taco John’s building—empty for over five years—into a warm, inviting space, breathing new life into the building and their growing dream.

Meet the Business Owner: Betsy W.

David and Betsy met in kindergarten in Summit, NJ, and remained lifelong friends despite going separate ways—David to Ireland for 13 years, and Betsy to NY, London, and Paris. Reunited after 25 years, they married and now live in Franklin, TN. David is a chef with 35+ years in the food industry, passionate about cooking and coffee. Betsy is a designer and creative director with over 30 years of experience building global brands like Barbie and Discovery. While she doesn’t drink coffee, she loves tea! Together, they bring fresh, made-to-order food to Columbia, TN, and treasure being part of the growing community.

My husband and I ordered sandwich's; he got the muffuletta (did not get a picture, but he said it was very good), and I got the Country Fire (pictured). I knew as soon as I saw "chicken cutlet" and mozzarella, this sandwich was for me. It was very toasty, cheesy, and flavorful. The bomba gave it an extra kick. They have MANY desserts. Tiramisu is my absolute favorite dessert. It was light with a ton of espresso which I loved. The little chocolate was a nice little touch. My husband got the crème brûlée cheesecake with raspberries on top (he ate it before I got a picture). He said it was very creamy.and delicious. Would love to stop and eat here again!

Problem with my Parfait was that 3/4 of the dish was brownie, not bad if you're looking for brownie with a small scoop of ice cream. (Yes, their menu says, "Brownie bits, vanilla ice cream, pecans, more brownie bits, salted caramel and hot fudge drizzle, vanilla whipped cream, amarena cherry.") But I thought it might have more ice cream. The vanilla in it was good...just give me more. Minty Chip waas very very minty....so pretty darn good...but we didn't finish it. You're getting a good amount of unique ice cream, from locally sourced ingredients. *This location offers samples prior to scooping. I did not get a sample; however, the family in front of us did. The amount seemed like a large sample scoop. *The inside of the creamery has a variety of seating from tables, booths, and bar stool seating. This was nice on such a hot summer day. Cons: *Service was very poor. There was only one worker when me and my two parents came. The young lady was very hostile and it seemed she was trying to get people in and out of her store as quickly as possible-- there was a lack of customer service or hospitality. *My mom asked for a waffle bowl of ice cream with a caramel topping. The worker was very rude and said toppings are only allowed on ice cream in cups, but no type of cone. Maybe this should be posted for customers to know or staff could relay this nicer. *They have a large wall behind the ice cream counter of daily and seasonal flavors. Unfortunately, they were out of many of these today. You can't see the actual case until it's your turn, so it was disappointing to get up to the counter only for the worker to rudely tell you they're out of many of the flavors. Maybe these could be taken down when out of stock since the sign looked magnetic.

I have been recommended this place by multiple people throughout the years and finally got a chance to give it a try. (Well, I say that but mainly because I go to Gold's Deli everytime I'm in Columbia. So it was time to share the love) They have a pretty large menu of various sandwiches, I wish I had grabbed a picture of them. I asked the cashier if she had to pick one sandwich which one would it be, she gave me a list of about 3 that all sounded amazing. The fourth she suggested was if you're overwhelmed or unsure just get the Italian. I LOVE Italian sandwiches so that is what I ended up with. Everything here is fresh so I waited about 5-10 minutes for my sandwich to get made. I will definitely be trying out some of the more adventurous creations next time but this was so good. This Italian has a freshness to it that I have a hard time describing but their olive oil blend is lovely, the olives, banana peppers and lettuce helped with that fresh taste as well I'm sure. The bread is incredible! It taste house baked, crisp outer crust with a pillowy interior. The house chips were also really good and salted perfectly. The inside is cool, it's a microbrewery and there's subtle like alien themes throughout? Overall can't wait to try it out again, stop by if you're ever down in Columbia!

We started with lasagna and garlic bread that Dave and I shared. The filling had beef and Italian sausage and it was delicious. The cheese pull was good and not too much. The red sauce was very good. 5/5 We ordered foods to go after eating the lasagna in store. I failed to take a picture of the lasagna. Suffice it to say it was inhaled quickly. We tried the eggplant panini in store too. Everything else was to go. I ordered a Bruno Sub and asked for roasted red peppers to be added. Honestly I couldn't taste the roasted red peppers as there weren't very many added. There was a thin slice of 1 onion ring on the sub so I couldn't taste any onion at all. For me that's a fail as I like to taste ingredients. 4/5 The eggplant panini came with a side of marinara. I have had eggplant panini's before and was anticipating this one. When I saw it, I was very disappointed. There were 2 very thin slices of eggplant inside a sub roll that had been put in a panini press or under bricks to smash the bread down. The only taste was bread. Marinara was good but couldn't rescue the panini. 1/5 We bought 1 arancini and it came with marinara. I heated it up along with the marinara. One bite in and I was sold. I would definitely go back and order arancini again. The meat inside was flavored well and the marinara made everything come together well. 5/5 We ordered a pastrami. For us there was way too much fat and we couldn't remove the fat like we can in a Jewish deli because this meat was sliced paper thin. 3/5 The potato salad was lacking in flavor to me. There was a significant amount of mayo in my opinion. Dave liked it. 3/5 The marinated artichokes were delicious and so were the white bean salad. 5/5 Dave ordered a Super Sub. It had 4 meats plus lettuce, tomato, and cheese. There was a tiny sliver of onion but we couldn't taste it. He loved his sub. 5/5 The two cannoli's were delicious. I favored the vanilla and Dave favored the chocolate. 5/5 We will return as the food was good. If you are missing an Italian Deli taste, please stop by. This place makes everything from scratch. It was worth the trip.

I worked for these people. Their ability to see into the future is diminished at best. I don't know who manages their ability to pay their workers but they should really hire someone who can do basic math. I was not paid for over 40 hrs. They hired me and said they had time to train ke but could not afford to keep me on payroll during my training. What a joke. read more

Well, I'm slowly eating my way through the entire menu and have enjoyed everything I've had so far! The Chinese chicken salad is wonderful and quiche is amazing, with a different flavor every day.
