Cute little coffee shop with amazing pastries and lots of seating to work remotely. Service was really friendly and I enjoyed checking out the adjoining clothing boutique too. Their sandwiches can be made in the morning (picked up a last minute group lunch order at 9 am in the morning) which I really appreciate! The pumpkin chocolate chip muffin is one of my favorites, and though I was the salmon bagel had smoked salmon instead of chopped, it was still good enough to eat it all. = ) This is my go to stop when I'm driving through! read more

Only reviewing based on the coffee. I had a cappuccino. The milk was burnt so it's hard to tell what the espresso was like but from what I could tell it didn't have much going for it. Kind of oldish, kind of flavorless. I don't mind paying $4 for a small cappuccino if it's good so this hurt a little extra. This transformed space is producing a great tasting coffee and experience. The back seating area is a great backdrop. To start your day. I absolutely LOVE Buckhead Coffee! They make one of the best Frappes I've had. Sadly I have moved to Denver, Co and I can't find a local coffee shop near my house that compares to Buckhead. so when I travel back to Nashville each year I have to make a few trips to Buckhead in Columbia and try to get my fill of their wonderful deliciousness in a cup and then stock up on their coffee beans to take back home to Denver with me. Okay, so I love, love, love the atmosphere. The energy at this little hot spot is great! The espresso roast is on point and the food is not only pleasing to the eye, it hits the spot! I am a fan of the simple medium iced latte with almond milk and the ever popular house made chicken salad sandwich on nine grain or whole wheat bread :) If the place is hoppin' during particular day and I feel like a bit more chill and need some elbow room I just cruise 9 miles down the street to the Mt. The biggest issues I have are: Location is awkward and parking can be a challenge Clientele - if you want to see a lot of women in spandex, this is your spot! Decor is too Ikea and neon for me. Buckhead Coffeehouse is a bit out of the way, but it's worth tracking down. I had only been here once before & had a bit of trouble finding it again today until I employed a gps app to assist me. I really like the chill yet homey atmosphere here...several local bakeries selling their goodies here & local art for sale serve as wall decor. Just the fact that it's a non-chain purveyor of coffee is worth a star in my book. The coconut latte that I had today was one of the better renditions of this concoction that I've had in and around Nashvegas. Fido still has the edge when it comes to coconut lattes, but that's an hour drive from here & to be fair, I've only tried Buckhead's coffee. They also serve breakfast & lunch. Yes, I'm a coffee snob. Former barista, coffee shop manager, from the great NW and all that. The good: one of only two places (I'm aware of) in Columbia to get a "premium" cup of coffee. The deserts are fantastic (other than the use of margarine in some of them). Clean, homey, nice customer base, free wi-fi. The not so good: parking is terribly awkward, the coffee itself is too weak for me to enjoy - so I pay double for an Americano, the staff is hit and miss and seems to be lacking any training in how to prepare a good coffee. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent little place with some good things going for it in a town devoid of options and that's why I can't hit it with fewer than 3 stars - though anyplace else and we're probably dropping to a 2 because it is a "COFFEE" shop and if you fail to brew a good cup then there you go. read more
