If you've been to the Mitsuwa in Edgewater, NJ, you'll understand the nostalgia. This location may not be as huge or spacious as Edgewater, but it still delivers that familiar Mitsuwa experience: Japanese groceries, a mini food court, and plenty of ready-to-eat goodies. The Tiger Prawn Tempura for $3 was an absolute steal--huge, crunchy, fresh-tasting, and delicious! We also grabbed lunch from one of the food court vendors before wandering through the grocery aisles and stocking up on some familiar Japanese favorites we've been missing. But the real standout? The customer service. Shoutout to Alex at the register, who was incredibly patient and accommodating when we asked about finding a cooler for our long drive back to San Antonio. He pointed us to customer service e to make sure we were taken care of. Enter Eddie, who took it a step further. He actually went into the back storage area and found us a clean, used styrofoam cooler--and then gave us three bags of complimentary ice because their ice machine had run out! Talk about going above and beyond.
