I love a good omurice! The food came out fast and the portions are pretty big. The garlic naan is really good too.

Time to update because I literally crave the curries. Sometimes, I send a family member out a random times to drive all the way over to pick up the curries. I could absolutely eat this every damn day. Is this my top fave ever? Tied for number one (with Ovenhead Pizza)!!! Ah, Coco Ichibanya, you haunt my dreams in the most delicious way. Thank you for being so addictively delicious. Thank you for bringing the spicy.

Back in this place again. No wait today which was perfect because I was starving. I went with chicken cutlet with egg omelet and cheese. Need the extra protein. It was so good. And my spice level is only regular. I might get brave and try level 1 on my next visit. Lol. Customer service was spectacular per usual and dining in is great for girls day out or dine in with family. There's also a bar like seating area next to the kitchen if you're rolling solo. Bring a jacket, it's cold inside.

First time trying CoCos.... In Texas lol I've been here 1 million times, from Japan to Taiwan, Hawaii to Korea, LA and more. It (just my opinion), is my favorite restaurant on earth. Service is amazing Food is amazing Ambience is ... well, it's ambiance lol Can't wait for the franchise to continue to grow and spread across the USA, hopefully closer to my little corner of Texas

This curry house is top notch. My family came on christmas eve for an early dinner and we were able to be sat quickly as one big table (we got on the waitlist on yelp before arriving). The server was kind and even helped with explaining the spiciness of their curry scale. My husband got a level 8 (VERY hot!!) but i got a comfortable level 2 (you can taste the spice but not so much that my nose would run). The chicken was crispy on the outside, and the curry was delicious. They offer chopsticks and forks/spoons, and the restaurant was clean. As someone who ate Coco's in Japan growing up, I can confirm this place knows how to make great curry! It's a must for all in the dallas area

Comfort food that you need to try!!! We got the udon and omlette curry with a chicken cutlet. The chicken was CRISPY and not oily at all and the curry was rich with flavor. The udon noodles were nice and chewy and paired well with the curry. I would say their service was pretty efficient and the inside was very clean. Oh also their spice levels range from 1-20. I got a 5 and as someone that likes spice but can't handle anything too crazy that was the perfect level - that was equivalent to a thai spice 3.5/5. We got the other one with level 8 which was indeed spicy but I think if you're someone with a high tolerance you'd be okay with it - that was a 4.5/5 on a thai spice level.

Coco is such a staple when in Hawaii. Glad they have it here. Your typical curry house decor we love it though. Food is always so darn good if you know coco curry house. The service is amazing and fast. Super friendly and respectful. Love this place

Super quick service! Getting seated has the potential to take some time. Reasonably priced and attentive service! I'm definitely going back.

Oh my goodness, i have been awaiting my visit to Dallas for the holidays solely on visiting the ONLY coco ichibanya in Texas. This place is cozy and has only seating for about 60 people, when we started driving, i added ourselves to the Yelp waitlist which did help but they're always busy and for good reason of a wait time so get yourself smart so you don't have to wait once you get there and stand around with your party. The food is mainly Japanese curry, which is what they are known for, the abundant selection in protein, add ons, and spice level was great, especially looking at the fun kids plates and the staff greeting us warmly, with kids getting little gatcha toys for a fun little prize. I absolutely loved my chicken katsu cutlet and added veggies and husband got the curry omelette with rice, our little dude got the kids meal A with mac and cheese and fries and nugget and barely touched his curry. He did say it was tasty after one bite but has a picky Americanized pallet lol. Looking forward to our next visit because this place lives on my mind rent free now and im still drooling. :)

This is one of my favorite restaurants for Japanese curry and it is a tad far but it's worth it. In CA there is one in Irvine that I frequent often. My go-to is their garlic cheese bread and their chicken cutlet with veggies. 5/5 It's so delicious and the consistency of their food is spot on and hasn't disappointed me. Their chicken is cooked to perfection, and their curry is what makes everything taste so amazingly delicious. Thankfully I had leftovers and my fiancée ordered food to have for tomorrow. I finished the test of my leftovers about 3 hours after dining at their restaurant. It even tastes good reheated and we all know that not about of food tastes good or as delicious as effective you had it freshly made. I dipped some of the garlic cheese Nan bread into my curry sauce and it tasted great. 5/5 Their Thai tea is usually good. 4/5 The times I've been to this spot the staff has always been welcoming, friendly, and attentive. They all work together and help to ensure their customers are being taken care of. The ambience is very welcoming and mellow but can get loud with all the tables being occupied. I highly recommend it, especially if you've never been to a Coco Ichibanya.

Great food and great service overall. However, we did experience a concerning issue. My wife found a piece of plastic in the keema cheese fries and had already chewed it before noticing. We immediately informed the manager, and the dish was replaced with multiple apologies, which we appreciated. What was disappointing, though, was being told that it "wasn't plastic," despite what we clearly saw and felt. We were also told the restaurant has cameras and could review them. We hope they take this seriously and double‑check their food preparation process to prevent this from happening again. Food safety should always be a top priority. Hi Michael, Thank you for responding. I want to clarify a few points because my review was never written out of a "grudge." It was a one‑star review because a foreign object -- which looked and felt like plastic -- was found in our food and was already chewed before we realized it. That is a serious food‑contamination issue that can pose health risks. In your reply, you stated that you "never said it was not plastic" and that your kitchen "does not use plastic." However, during our conversation at the restaurant, we were clearly told that it wasn't plastic and that plastic is not used in the kitchen. That contradiction is exactly why the situation felt dismissive. When a customer finds something foreign in their food, the priority should be acknowledging the concern and investigating it -- not insisting what it is or isn't before checking. My review reflects the experience we had and the importance of preventing foreign objects from entering food. This is not about harming your business, it is about food safety and customer health. Any responsible customer would speak up after such an incident. I hope this feedback is taken constructively. We want local businesses to succeed, but food safety and honest communication must always come first.

The restaurant wasn't busy at the time, so it was no big deal, but worth noting. The service was actually the highlight of the night, and earned this review one additional star simply because of the effort involved. Else it would be a 3 star review. There was only one server running the entire front of house while the restaurant got progressively busier, and only two chefs in the kitchen. Despite being swamped, the server worked her tail off. She didn't mess up a single order for our large group and kept things moving. I greatly appreciated her hard work. Appetizers (5/5): The wait for food was noticeable due to the staffing, but the appetizers were worth it. We ordered the Edamame, Yatai Gyoza, Agedashi Tofu, and Takoyaki, and all of them were delicious. Entrees (3/5): Unfortunately, the main courses were a bit basic compared to the starters. The Tonkotsu Ramen was strictly average; I've definitely had better broth and noodles elsewhere. If you are looking for the top-tier quality izakaya, Mr. Max Izakaya in Irving is hands down better option. However, you have to wait an hour for a table there.

We had scouted it out online, looking for a ramen place near where we were staying in Plano. Unassuming on the front, the inside is an amazing atmosphere with a vibe straight from a Shinjuku street stall. The wait staff was polite, and very nice. The chef was working away inside the replica street stall. The food arrived quickly, and was delicious! So much flavor! Everything new was somehow even better than the dish we tried before it. So good, so tasty! If we come back for another visit, Yatai is now on our list of restaurants to eat at again!

I've had the pleasure of eating ramen in Japan and yeah, NO. The reason for the 1 star is because we were the first ones in at 11 and the waitress came in sneezing and wiping her nose with her hand, with her child in tow who by the way was all over the place and many times just standing at our table staring at us eat. I kept watching her to see if she would wash her hands or at least use hand sanitizer but she neglected to do either. The ramen: We ordered the spicy garlic pork shoyu and the spicy chicken broth ramen. The garlic pork ramen had 1 small piece of pork belly and the noodles while a great consistency, tasted like cardboard. The broth suffered from the lack of flavor. The chicken ramen was also pretty flavorless. The nerve of someone to compare this place to Ichiran lol. I will say, the service from the chef and the nose wiping waitress was pleasant but the grossness of her wiping her nose and touching every chair, bowl, utensils and eating her chips at the table across from us with her toddler is enough for us to never go back to this place even if it was the last ramen spot on the planet.
