When I finally told my doctor this was a challenge for us, she hit the roof. Googled prices in our appt, said I shouldn't be paying more than $20 for the quantity of 60 generic. So, I moved to Frisco RX pharmacy where he charged me $30 for the exact med & called CVS where they quoted me around $20. I assumed it HAD to be an oversight on the part of Texas RX that they'd correct to keep our family's longtime business. I called today and no. They are sticking by the insanely inflated price. That's a $250 MARK-UP on a cheap generic that has been on the market for 20+ years. This can't possibly be legal. I loved their office, customer service, we were with them for years, now thinking about that ONE medication (afraid to even look at the others), in the 4 or so years we saw them, a $250/month markup means $12,000 unnecessarily paid out of pocket. I'm sick to my stomach thinking about it. I asked to price match frequently over the years and would get a vague "oh we match to the closest CVS, this is the matched price" .... this cannot possibly be legal.

I had a disappointing occurrence this month with my medication, and have since learned that the problem started with the pharmacist, Grant. I was called the evening of my refill date by the pharmacy and told I was getting a new medication. No explanation why. The following day,I received my meds via mail and my pain control medication was what had been changed. I made the mistake in assuming my doctor had initiated the change and just hadn't told me. NO! Apparently, Grant, the pharmacist, having no knowledge of my medical history, nor given me a physical exam, told my doctor I should be given a new, very costly, non-equivalent medication, that insurance was denying coverage for. After several days of withdrawal, and a week of time waiting for an appointment with my doctor to address the issue, I finally learned that my original medication was sent in for refill, but for some reason, my doctor was told I should try this other drug. Needles to say, it was a very unpleasant experience. And, despite convenience of use, I don't think I will use this pharmacy again. I just don't think the pharmacist should weigh in on my care with no working knowledge of ALL aspects of my treatment to date.

Compounding pharmacy, Rx delivery, medical supplies, drugs and supplements…read more They have a large variety of items in a small space, making it rather crowded, but well supplied and the staff is quite helpful in locating and accessing what you need. There is a section dedicated to toys and kitsch, but that is separated from medical needs except for a few items by the register. An example of the helpful staff - I called to check on their hours and discovered that as I suspected they were already closed. But as they were doing inventory they were going to be on the premises and insisted that I could come to pickup my prescription now. They could not allow me to come in but went back and forth from the door to the back of the store to get my meds and run my card for payment. Way above and beyond! This isn't a place like the Walgreen's where you get your prescription along with shampoo, nail polish and snacks. This is a small neighborhood pharmacy with better selection of medical supplies than most drugstores and helpful staff. My only complaint? They aren't open on Sundays, or evenings. But I understand and appreciate that even though it makes it harder for me to get by there.

They have fixed other pharmacy's mistakes. Even delivered a med for my son to my house on a Saturday when he had told us originally it wouldn't be until Monday. The owner/manager remembers my name and my son from our phone conversations. When told by Target's pharmacy my son's Medicaid was ineligible, I called Renner, gave him my son's medicaid number and he looked it up. He then called Target to tell them how to look up the eligibility. Target called back and said my son was good to go. We are switching all our prescriptions to Renner! Bye Target!
