The pharmacists are nice and fairly patient. I've had photos printed here - and they come out great and are reasonably priced. Knowing that they make a lot of money from the mark-up on convenience items, they still are not outrageously priced. I'd rather pop in here than a Walmart due to it being less crowded, and pay just a pinch more to get in and out with what I need. They have lots of holiday items and gift items which helps for a last-minute "uh-oh, I forgot it was Boss's day!" issues.

Not sure if that's actually management's policy, but that's what I was told. The store gets the job done if you're in a pinch, but it's not somewhere I look forward to visiting.

Called for refill, but no response for several days for pick up. I had to call to check so I can pick up. A lady picked up a call and saying she did everything she could, sending email and fax to hospital for a prescription. But she didn't and blaming on trainings. Hospital did not receive any documents and they had to call her too. Next time please check before you say and please, it's not that hard to say sorry for a mistake. read more

I thought it was my imagination until I asked Cathy Zhang, owner/pharmacist, about it and she explained that their ears different degrees of materials. Spring Creek uses the highest purity level and it shows in how you feel. I cannot recommend this pharmacy highly enough. Even if your medication doesn't need compounding, this is an excellent source for all of your pharmaceutical needs. Their new location is beautiful and easily accessible. Spring Creek Pharmacy is a compounding pharmacy which means they have the ingredients on site to…read moreproduce medicine. They don't just sell it, they make it. However since their staff is busy doing what they do best - making drugs, they don't really provide all of the other bells and whistles of customer service that you find with the big corporate pharmacies like Walgreens or CVS. My doctor directed me to have my prescription filled here. She didn't send it in electronically, but instead wrote the ingredients on a prescription paper. She suggested I call them first to make sure they had the ingredients before going. I did, but there was some confusion on whether they had the ingredients because of the way I was pronouncing the ingredients and/or my phone was cutting out. Thankfully they had an email address, so I sent them a picture and they replied right away that they could make the medication immediately. I drove to the facility. The woman at the front seemed to be working multiple tasks and wasn't privy to the conversation I had previously on the phone, so we had to go through everything again. Once everything checked out, I had a small wait in the lobby before they came out with a paper white bag with my medicine inside. There were no instructions or "scare sheets" included, so I just had to go by what my doctor discussed in my appointment. In the end, I got a 60 day supply for $150 which seemed quite expensive. I took one, and an hour later, I was so sick. My blood pressure skyrocketed and I ended up with one of the worst headaches I had ever had. I thought I was going to have to go to the ER, but I managed to wait it out. By the next morning, my blood pressure had dropped to a normal range and the excruciating pain in my head subsided. I had an unfortunate experience here and with this overly potent medication. Had I used one of the corporate pharmacies, I would have had a consult with a pharmacist, had a detailed sheet explaining the medication and expected side effects as well as best practices for taking it. In the future, I will ask for this to ensure a layer of protection.

As one who works in drug research, has a B.S. in biochemistry, an MPH and knows full well FDA protocols and regulatory standards, I can tell you the head pharmacist, Dennis, operates his business like it's the 1950s. The only reason I came to this pharmacy in the first place was because the particular molecule I needed compounded was out of stock throughout the greater DFW metroplex - another very telling indication of just how inadequate their business model is. If you're the only pharmacy out of, say 25, that has a drug, I'd gather things aren't going so swimmingly. In addition to the aforementioned shortcomings, this pharmacy - unlike any other I've known - doesn't offer a courier nor a shipping service. So, if you live in Downtown Dallas, you'll need to drive 30mi to and from the pharmacy to fulfill your order each time. Equally as fun - because of the head pharmacist's rules and relevant paranoia - if you have a month's supply, you'll be expected to come in TWICE within that month to pick up your script. Super convenient, right?! Oh, and another one of my favorite aspects was the rigidity in which this pharmacist felt it necessary to adhere to arbitrary, make-believe chemical standards. I'm not going to bore you with the minutia but suffice to say, if you know anything about chemistry (acidulants, antimicrobial properties, stability, salts, etc) this guy is doing way too much for too simple a process. "You know you don't HAVE to use saline sol'n, right? You can just use water - the molecule has HCl already in it". He says "Well, per FDA regulations we have to comply to a set of stability standards". I followed with, "oh so then I guess every OTHER pharmacy in the metroplex is just doing it 'wrong'? Are they all going to get 'busted'?! Did you discover some novel chem properties that the rest of the world doesn't know about?". Golly, maybe he'll avoid fines and criminal drug charges AND win the Nobel Prize too. The final kicker though is when Dennis tells me further, they can no longer fill my script because it's in a particular drug class as another medicine I take. Which again is false and an entirely ridiculous statement. Drug classes: opioids, benzodiazepines, dissociatives, amphetamines, anticonvulsants, PPIs, SSRIs, etc. They are all different and - unless you got your PharmD degree in 1985 - not equal and very often non-competitive. Especially when considering dosage and frequency at which these particular meds are filled. But I don't take Dennis for a big picture kind of guy anyhow. The moral of the story, unless it's the last pharmacy on earth, please PLEASE do yourself a favor by avoiding this dinosaur and support one of the many other great, reasonably priced, convenient, practical, and current pharmacies being operated in TX. And even if they're in Tyler and you're in Ft. Worth, they can probably ship your meds right to your front door.

The ability to ship to your home address is convenient. I am particularly impressed by my most recent telephone call and experience with Melanie. Mom and I are going to be traveling out of the country and she will run out of Betahistidine in Mid-July, so I wanted to make sure she had enough medication until we return home. Melanie patiently answered my questions over the phone about my Mom's prescription, explained the various shipping options, and waited until the transaction for the refill went through. I always choose 2-Day Fed Ex and the medication should be arriving by tomorrow by the end of the day.
