    I usually try to be self-sufficient when shopping and avoid bothering employees with questions, as…read moremost store information can be found online. However, Walgreens does not provide aisle information for products, so I had to ask a store associate for help locating emesis bags. The first employee I approached looked disheveled--his uniform was wrinkled and stained, which was already off-putting. When I asked about the emesis bags, he had no idea what they were. I tried explaining: Me: "Bags used for nausea or dry heaving." Him: "Huh?!?" Me: "Vomiting bags." Him: "Oh, the throw-up bags should be along the back wall." I searched but couldn't find them, so I attempted to ask another employee for assistance. Unfortunately, he was wearing iPod earbuds and was unapproachable. Eventually, I located the item on my own, paid, and left. The lack of professionalism and basic product knowledge from employees was disappointing. Customer service at Walgreens has noticeably declined since my last visit.

They asked me to have my vet fax the Pharmacy the prescription (they faxed it twice and noted it was successful.) Every time I called to see if they were able to complete it, I was met with "no we don't have it" or "we never received it" and when I asked for more information, I never got it and was told to have them send it again! I only went because I read Walgreens gladly accepted pet prescriptions. Don't believe it for one second.

I arrived at 8pm and was walking towards the counter, where they saw me walking towards them. They pulled the gate down and said they were closed, they close at 8pm. Then the woman (couldn't see her name because the gate was blocking her) said that I could go to the 24 hour pharmacy. I explained my RX was filled there and I just needed to grab it. Furthermore, I did not live close by and tried to get there fast. The woman said nothing and walked away. The other man apologized and walked away. I completely understand they close at 8, but you saw me coming towards you and I was asking nicely if they could grab it real quick. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone

Recently, a new cashier, I think her name was Diane, attended me. Diane was the rudest person I have ever encountered at this CVS. She had to lookup my prescriptions, for which she had to step away from the cashier counter. This was not the first time a cashier had to lookup my medications. But no one ever told me to step to the consulting counter so that she could attend to those standing behind me. Seriously? In any case, I stepped away to the consulting counter and waited, after already having waited in line. After some time, Diane did go to the computer where she could lookup my medications and from a distance started asking me which medications I needed. She has no concept of HIPAA. Asking me about my medications from a distance..! I was not happy about it. So I said all. She pulled only the three medications and walked away from the computer to the cash counter to attend to others. That was understandable. One can expect to wait while medications are being pulled. What I did not understand was that I had to ask her about my eye medications in public. She was not trained in HIPAA matters at all. That, or she did not care. I decided to leave and said that I would come back when she had time to attend to me. And she replied with a "WHATEVER". That took me over the hump. She and I had an exchange of French words spoken in English. I decided to leave that pharmacy and go elsewhere.

Here's my last…read moreexperience: On Tuesday September 9th, my doctor mistakenly sent 2 prescriptions to my old pharmacy, CVS, instead of Walgreens. I now have an HMO, which requires that I use Walgreens. I hate it... Wednesday September 10th at approx. 11:00 pm, I submitted a transfer request. I received a confirmation email, from Walgreens listing the two prescriptions to be transferred from CVS, and informing me that my prescriptions would be ready the next day - Thursday September 11th @ 11:00 a.m. I kept checking the app, so that I could go pick up my prescription. Finally, I called at 7:07 pm. I was on hold 20 minutes and then someone hung up on me. I called back at 7:27. This call lasted approximately 24 minutes. I asked about the status of my transfer and I was told that they had no transfer request. I told her that I had email conformation. She apologized and said she would process the transfer RIGHT THEN. She asked for the complete spelling of the 2 meds I needed transferred, dosage, etc. On Friday September 12, I called at 11:36 am. I was on the call a total of 20 minutes. She said they didn't have the transfer request, but she would process it RIGHT THEN. Again, I was asked to spell the medication, give dosage, etc. She then informs me that one of them cannot be transferred. My doctor would have to send a request to Walgreens. Let me remind you, I have an email confirmation, from days ago, which includes the two prescriptions. This was now my 3rd request for this SAME TRANSFER. I ended up going to pick up one of my prescriptions from CVS, because I really needed it. This took extra time, gas and effort; as Walgreens is closer. It ALSO COST ME EXTRA MONEY BECAUSE CVS IS OUT OF NETWORK!! As of today, Monday September 15th @ 4:00 pm, that other prescription still hasn't been processed. This isn't a dinner order I'm complaining about. These medications literally save people's lives!! When it's time to re-elect insurance coverage, I will not be choosing a plan which requires me to use Walgreens. I've had so many bad experiences with this particular Walgreens Pharmacy. I'm just over it. The customer service here is non-existent.
