This place sucks so much. I started using them years ago, wanting to support a small local business. Something must have changed because you might as well clock in because you have to follow up on every single step to get your prescription in your hands. I don't know what they actually stock there because they never have anything I need and they have to order it from some mysterious source. And they wait to tell you this until just before they close. I used them for the delivery service and every other time it ends up not making it to me or I find it in the bushes. Just use another pharmacy. read more

Worst pharmacy customer service I have ever received. The previous owners were significantly better. This owner has zero customer service. They used to do free delivery. They started charging $25 for delivery so I specifically said I wanted to just pick up my prescriptions. They had me pick them up for 3 months then restarted with their delivery again, charging the $25 fee. When I called to tell them I specifically asked them not to deliver (with text messages as proof), they said they would not refund the $25 fee and they hung up on me. DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

I chose this pharmacy years ago because it was a local business, gay owned and friendly. Lately, they seem to care very little about customers and the service they provide has gone downhill very fast. So they are now no longer friendly and currently NOT gay owned. It seems to now be owned by a some finance guy that collects pharmacies and reduces their hours and staff. This explains so much to me. read more

I've been using them for almost a year and really wanted to support local, small business but the service and convenience are horrible. Multiple times I called to request refills (because you can't do it online) and they weren't completed. They keep a low stock (which is understandable because that increases their costs) so almost everything has to be ordered. I would go in to pick up my requested refills, I thought had been ordered, only to be told they didn't show a request. I would have to repeat my refill request and be told it had to be ordered all over again. This creates a serious health risk when you take medication that requires a strict regimen! My doctor sent over a prescription by the time I got out of my car. I received a call that it was ready and they took all my information and I picked it up. Everyone was very helpful and very nice. I was having some allergy issues in the pharmacy come out he was very knowledgeable on what I needed to buy. I look forward to moving all of my medications to Oakland pharmacy. Got better service here from Sean than anywhere else. I needed to refill a prescription quickly, but pharmacies all over were out of stock and no one knew what to tell me. Not only did I need my Rx, but I needed it ASAP due to my travel schedule. Can't tell you how THANKFUL I am that Sean was able to help me with a quick turnaround. I guess others have had a different experience but I have never felt with a more incompetent, unprofessional and frankly crooked pharmacy. I had issues with ordering refills then days later calling to check on them and we don't have that in stock we ordered it and it will get it in a couple of days. Then in a couple of days and get told oh we can't get that right now all while I'm out of the medication. Then get the prescription send elsewhere and can't get it filled because Oaklawn pharmacy already billed my insurance company for the prescription they haven't and can't fill. I've had them bill for prescriptions not filled twice causing all kinds of issues picking things up elsewhere. The majority of the time I don't get notifications when prescriptions are ready and sometimes no timeframe as to when they will be ready. Was told they aren't co reacted to do 90 prescriptions but all at a sudden I can't get a prescription filled elsewhere because they say it's already been filled to find out Oaklawn filled a prescription that I never requested that I told them I was going else where for and they filled that one as a 90 days. Then I tell them multiple times I've changed insurance and they have yet to get any info from me so I'm waiting for that become an issues when the other insurance carrier rejects the claims. Get out on hold for 25 minutes and then go to an answering machine when I ask them if they were in network with my new carrier. Call back and they immediately answer the phone, guess they didn't want to check for me. And when I go to try to transfer my prescriptions out of there they get rude, won't listen to the questions I ask and get the response, I've already told you...... when the question that was asked was a simple yes or no answer. Have now been without prescriptions multiple times because of them and I've only been with them for roughly 90days. The only thing that I don't have problems with was a compounded prescription that I have however the last two times I never got notification that it was ready. I have had substitutes with one of the chain pharmacies and generally like dealing with locally owned businesses much better but this place is the exception. I will absolutely not go back or ever recommend this place to anyone read more

This is the only pharmacy in Dallas you should use. After years of enduring rude and incompetent service from CVS, I had to find a better provider. My Dr. suggested Oak Lawn Pharmacy. Oak Lawn Pharmacy defines "going above and beyond." The pharmacy's service is exceptional. My car battery died in the parking lot and Oscar came out to help jump my battery. My prescriptions were not covered by insurance and the pharmacist Sean found me free and almost free solutions and alternatives. Sean works with Dr.s' offices and drug manufacturers to provide the best service, quality, price, and options possible for medications. Sean is extremely knowledgeable in searching for ways to help customers. He understands and can negotiate the complex and confounding and convoluted world of health insurance coverage and Big Pharma. Sean and Oscar are just amazing and wonderful. I cannot speak highly enough. I never considered that a pharmacy could be so immensely important to the quality of a person's health care, but Oak Lawn Pharmacy is an essential component of my health care team. I would drive across town to frequent Oak Lawn Pharmacy, they are that good. I am a schoolteacher with little time during the week to make it to the pharmacy for pickups, Oak Lawn's free delivery service and med pack option has been an immense help. Delivery is consistent, timely, and convenient. I know I am considerably healthier today because of the work, thoughtfulness, and dedication of the team at Oak Lawn Pharmacy. I've been a customer of Oak Lawn Pharmacy, recently re-branded from Pride Pharmacy, for eight years now back when it was located on the main floor of my doctors office building. In that time I've had nothing but stellar service. The staff is always polite and makes you feel welcome. On top of all of that they go out of their way to help you save money on your prescriptions. I also appreciate that they call me to see if I need a refill of my prescriptions. It's a great service that keeps me from running out of my allergy meds, which in Texas would be horrible. The best part is that once a month they will deliver your prescriptions to you. It can be your house or office but they will send a courier and hand deliver them to you. This is a big plus for me and one of the many reasons that even though I live in Fort Worth now that I keep my business here. It's a small local business that takes care of it's customers and I highly recommend it. read more

I'm a 100% disabled veteran. I go to a private Dr. to take care of all my many medical issues, as the VA is too difficult to deal with on multiple issues. I pay cash at Pride Pharmacy and honestly couldn't afford my meds if not for the amazingly low cash pay prices they can offer. They don't make a huge profit. They're small but they remember your name and after 4 years of great family-like service, I will never go to any other pharmacy. They treat you like you're their only customer. You can't beat that.
