Perfect from start to finish. Needed to rent a hospital bed for what I thought would be 6 weeks,…read moreturned out to be 4 weeks and they refunded me for the last two weeks. Told me my delivery date and that Gabriel would call when 30 mins out. He arrived on time, set the bed up, made sure it worked, when I was done he picked it up on time and thanked me for my business. Hopefully I won't need this service again but if I do, I know who to call.

I have had semi-electric hospital beds in my home for decades. (Medicare doesn't provide fully…read moreelectric hospital beds.) The current bed's control began to fail, leaving the occupant in the same position for many hours. Medicare could not tell us if the bed was five years old or not; a DME (durable medical equipment) provider of Medicare beds would have to do that. We were in need of a specific feature on a bed made by Drive Medical. Years ago, such beds had a mechanical way to manually change the position of a home care hospital bed in case the power goes out. But no more! Most beds now have a 9-volt battery installed inside the motor housing or some equally inaccessible location, particularly for the occupant of the bed, and particularly if the room is dark because the power is out! What are these manufacturers thinking!? While the Drive battery is now in the bed's hand control, be aware that its sole purpose is to provide enough power just to let the bed down to the flat position! At least the occupant (if a spare battery is within reach) or care partner can change the battery easily. We change the battery every 6 months, with the time change, when we also change the smoke alarm batteries. We also keep a few spare 9-volts in the refrigerator; if there is a small refrigerator in the occupant's bedroom for medications, ice, food, or drinks, that's an ideal place for batteries. We have never experimented with them to see if the knees can be raised/lowered or the head raised once it is down with the power out. A to Z Medical Equipment and Supplies was, thankfully, the first and only company I called. They confirmed that they carried Drive Medical beds with the backup battery in the hand control. Getting replacement equipment from Medicare has become a process. Our home care physician had to visit in person to confirm that the bed was indeed faulty. A to Z Medical was able to determine when the bed had been delivered--4 years and 11 months ago! I panicked, but only for a moment. Given the circumstances, A to Z would deliver a new bed the next day and bill Medicare later. In fact, the bed and the doctor arrived at the same time. There was one problem which I might have foreseen and now you might, too, if you need a replacement bed. The single driver was shown the location of the broken bed and asked me if I had someone who could disassemble the bed: he was expecting a space where he could place the new bed, not this. I called one of our attendants, who was in the middle of getting new glasses. He dropped everything and came over. The driver, meanwhile, left, saying he would return. When he did, the attendant had easily removed the head and foot but was struggling to get the platform folded in thirds. He asked the driver if he knew how to fold it and he stepped right in. Then I realized the ridiculousness of his "not my job" mentality. The old Drive bed and the new one were identical so he could have pivoted and had the old bed disassembled in less than 5 minutes[ it is easier than getting the pieces assembled by yourself. My employee could have saved his time off and gasoline, and continued getting his glasses uninterrupted. I did call A to Z's Sales team and thanked them for their compassionate creativity before I suggested that they better coordinate the situation and the driver's instructions. You might ask them to verify the same if you are receiving any large equipment that might be difficult to get through hallways or doorways, or as in this case, it is replacing an existing piece of equipment that will need to be disassembled and removed. Which reminds me that this driver was not willing able to do anything with the old bed. Since it was inoperable, and we had someone who could take it out to the curb, we had our solution but you might want to ask your DME about their disassembly and disposal policies. Some other options include alerting a junk collector (We use Nextdoor.) donating reparable items to Goodwill stores that hire workers who clean and repair items for sale; not all do, or donating useable items to an appropriate local charity.

When Debbie finally called us back all she said was "No, all sales are final"! She had no compassion for the fact that my dad had just died, and didn't even say she was sorry for his passing or anything when we explained the situation. It was all about the sale for them and nothing about customer service at all. This is just a business for these people so if you order something and you have a problem with it, don't count on sending it back because "all sales are final". I guess you have to look at the fine print at the very bottom of the page. These people are sneaky and uncaring and just after your money. They also charged us for a sheet set we did not order nor receive.

When I arrived there the man who did the intake inspection was nice to work with and he already had the $19,750 check in hand. That took around 20 minutes then they paid for an Uber Chevy Suburban to drive me home. Three pain free days and $19,750 from start to finish was an outstanding experiance and givemethevin.com is a very honest and classy operation. I recommend them to anyone. He does an onsite consultation and gets the exact measurements, but unfortunately, I had to work during the week and no internet at the home yet and then of course all my belongings were still in California. However, he did mail me a package of tint to take a look at and all prices are the same no matter what you choose. I decided not to look anywhere else and just went with this company. The prices were great. I had my windows tinted in California and I paid 3 times as much, but then again I did have more windows too. The installer came the following week and got done within 5-6 hours as I had 13 windows to tint. The thing that made the process fast was everything was precut and ready to go and all I had to do was give them the measurements. I am sure I was probably off a little, but they managed to make the windows perfect. Overall, for great prices, awesome service and excellent feel for the house. I've been a happy customer for a very long time and have always appreciated the thoughtful service and delivery. However. Recently the service has really slipped. I have a number of prescriptions that are "auto-renew", but in the last year, this convenient function has repeatedly failed to work, which necessitates trips to the store, waiting and then obtaining the now usual excuses - this reason or that reason. But more importantly, I've had several recent experiences that are disturbing. Both involve massive overcharging for prescriptions that my insurance doesn't cover or partially covered. The most abusive of the two involved an attempt to charge my insurance company almost 400 dollars for 30 capsules of dexilant, a prescription for which there is a generic alternative and fairly close over the counter substitutes. No dopes, my insurance company refused to pay most of it and my "portion" was about 10 bucks a pill. They insisted there wasn't a generic alternative, notwithstanding the multiple results of a google search that gave the date of approval (18 months ago) and name of the generic. Again, this for a drug (an ordinary heartburn remedy) for which there is no reason for such premium pricing. In my view, it was a blatant attempt to rip off both me and the insurance company. If you use them, keep a close eye on what they charge both you and the insurance company. Look for generic substitutes. Keep in mind that there may be a good reason why the insurance companies have become so tough on drugs.... with behavior like this, we all pay. read more

The problem with this once-great, family-owned and operated pharmacy is that it got sold to a big corporation (Ascendant Solutions, Inc.), in 2004, and things haven't been the same since. The management of this pharmacy now comes from corporate headquarters, and it shows. Dougherty's shelf stock of even the most common pharmaceuticals is pathetically lacking. I now have to wait for them to order popular medications that should be in stock. The revolving door of "kids" that work the front counter at the pharmacy have no people skills and, apparently, no training, either. Mistakes are often made, prescriptions go missing or just simply don't get filled, especially if phoned in by doctors and left on the voice mail. LIke so many things that get gobbled up by Corporate America, this place just ain't what it used to be. read more

So disappointed in the customer service provided by Dougherty's. We transferred a prescription for my grand baby's diaper rash compound ointment because the one they had they'd forgotten at home. Dougherty's filled it and it made her rash worse. After using for several weeks we'd realized it was gritty and like sand. The other compound Pharmacy made one like petroleum jelly and smooth. Upon returning to Dougherty's and showing them the issue they said they couldn't redo it or provide a refund ($75) for a small jar because we didn't bring it back the next day. I'd explained that they live out of town and couldn't bring it back that quickly and we didn't notice the difference until they'd used it for several weeks and her rash was getting worse. Do not go to Dougherty's (5959 Royal Ln). They overcharge on prescriptions, claiming they are not covered by insurance, even though they are. I was told to return after being overcharged and when I arrived was given a phone number to leave a message on. They have 10 employees working, but not one of them is helpful, knowledgeable, or qualified to work in a pharmacy. They are lazy, ignorant, and unmotivated. I suggest TEXAS STAR PHARMACY for your needs. read more

Spring Creek Pharmacy is a compounding pharmacy which means they have the ingredients on site to…read moreproduce medicine. They don't just sell it, they make it. However since their staff is busy doing what they do best - making drugs, they don't really provide all of the other bells and whistles of customer service that you find with the big corporate pharmacies like Walgreens or CVS. My doctor directed me to have my prescription filled here. She didn't send it in electronically, but instead wrote the ingredients on a prescription paper. She suggested I call them first to make sure they had the ingredients before going. I did, but there was some confusion on whether they had the ingredients because of the way I was pronouncing the ingredients and/or my phone was cutting out. Thankfully they had an email address, so I sent them a picture and they replied right away that they could make the medication immediately. I drove to the facility. The woman at the front seemed to be working multiple tasks and wasn't privy to the conversation I had previously on the phone, so we had to go through everything again. Once everything checked out, I had a small wait in the lobby before they came out with a paper white bag with my medicine inside. There were no instructions or "scare sheets" included, so I just had to go by what my doctor discussed in my appointment. In the end, I got a 60 day supply for $150 which seemed quite expensive. I took one, and an hour later, I was so sick. My blood pressure skyrocketed and I ended up with one of the worst headaches I had ever had. I thought I was going to have to go to the ER, but I managed to wait it out. By the next morning, my blood pressure had dropped to a normal range and the excruciating pain in my head subsided. I had an unfortunate experience here and with this overly potent medication. Had I used one of the corporate pharmacies, I would have had a consult with a pharmacist, had a detailed sheet explaining the medication and expected side effects as well as best practices for taking it. In the future, I will ask for this to ensure a layer of protection.
