Pharmacy staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, they are sorely understaffed. Upon release from the hospital, it took eight hours and a trip to the store with my walker to get my prescriptions filled. I asked for contact information for the pharmacy manager and was told that there isn't one. Gone are the days of picking up your scripts on the way home from the doctor. I've enjoyed using this pharmacy for the past 6 years, however, recent staffing cuts have made subsequent visits frustrating to the point that I will need to find another. I go to Walgreens on McKinney Ave all the time for years. Today 2/3/26, I had to leave the store because no one was available to help me. I asked for customer service. I was promised someone would help. There was only one person behind the counter and the pharmacy. What I needed was behind a lock and key. I left to shop at CVS. A lot of the shelves are empty. I have used this store for almost 20 years. It has gradually gotten worse and worse. I call before going to make sure that my prescription is ready. They tell me it is. I go the next day and they say they have ordered it and it should be available in 3 days. (6 days after l called it in). It's my heart medicine and I am completely out. I have called 3-4 times trying to get this filled. This is happening more often. They do not stock anything. They don't have a system to tell them to order stock. If you let them do auto refill you will get refills every week. I had enough pills to start my own pharmacy. Worst experience one could ever have. Every time. Calling ahead requires a good 20 minutes if you are lucky. I have 7 meds to get every month. Due to disorganization they are unable to fill 7 prescriptions on the same day. read more

It was near 1 am and my phone charger broke. I needed one because my phone was dying and I had an entire conference day in Dallas ahead of me and I also had a flight to catch back home. Making it worse, my lightning cable broke with the little charging head stuck inside my port. I could not get it out and the only way I could charge it was through a QI charger. Thankfully this Walgreens had one!!!! Hallelujah! I got my phone charging to be ready for me to start another day at 7 am. Thankfully later on when I had time in the airport I was able to get the stuck piece of the charger out of my port on my iphone with a toothpick. Still it was a nightmare! I lived in the area for four years, and typically didn't have issues besides short staffing (which is common) and things being out of stock even though the website says they have them. But a recent interaction with the GM who works during busy hours was particularly horrible (not sure what her name was but she's blonde and has a southern accent). I have seldom encountered human beings with lower EQs. I'm honestly shocked that she is a manager, and you could tell the other employees are too. read more

I live right by this Walgreens, and it's similar to like its other locations. A few things to keep note about this one, though: - The pharmacy always seems like its out of medicine - The parking lot at night is usually filled out with people hitting up the bars across the street - Sometimes they don't have certain tings stocked I'll drop by for the occasional floss, face lotion, or sparkling water. Also, they don't provide COVID-19 testing there. read more

I called at 4:14 pm to have my prescription (that I desperately needed the same day) transferred from a pharmacy that closed at 7 pm. I specifically told the pharmacist that they would be closing at 7 and I needed the prescription to be transferred before then. Fast forward to 9:05 pm, I wait behind one car for over 10 minutes. I finally got to the window and the pharmacist let me know that they didn't call the other pharmacy in time to transfer it. Last evening my veterinarian called in a phone order for medication for my dog to this pharmacy. I called the pharmacy about Two hours later to see if prescription was ready. I was on hold for 20 min and then got disconnected. My husband decided to go there personally, both drive thru lanes were closed at 8:30PM He decided to inside the store and waited in line for 10min only to be told rudely that there was no prescription called in. Today morning I called veterinarian office and they confirmed that prescription was called in yesterday evening. I again called the pharmacy this morning and spoke to the technician at 8AM and she declined having any prescription for my dog. Extremely rude on the phone. I insisted she checks again and of course she found the prescription. Forget an apology but rudely said that it will not be ready for about her two hours as pharmacist was busy giving flu vaccines. We went to pick up prescription at 1045AM and were given the prescription WITHOUT confirming address or phone number. Even though label states confirmation needed (see below) Big Safety Issue!!!! I had been struggling with the CVS on main st. In Dallas. The service at CVS was astoundingly awful, and I tried this Walgreens location. Patricia, the pharmacist not only was fast and friendly, but worked tirelessly to reach the other pharmacy to have my script transferred. Even when I made the mistake of giving her the incorrect phone number to the CVS, she did everything smoothly and professionally. When I called again to ask a question, the clerk who answered was helpful and engaging. I was so pleasantly surprised to receive such help and service! Thank goodness for this locations employees. Walgreens typically have less than standard services, but the OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEES here made this experience pleasant for me. read more

First time visiting this location at about 130am (the Sunday night before Memorial Day, or technically the early early Monday on Memorial Day) it was all females working when I went, and all of them were extremely nice and really welcoming. Not one was in a bad mood or rude to me or any other of the customers, the energy they put out was really positive and very welcoming. I'm writing this review because you don't find this often with retail late night grocery type places, you usually have the "nasty attitude, I hate my job wish I wasn't here" type of encounters. They take prescriptions even if they don't have the medication. This as well as all of the surrounding Walgreens were out of the medication I need to take daily. As the saying goes...been to one Walgreens been to them all. That's not exactly correct when it comes to this location. For openers this location is open 24 hours. Not only is the store open 24 hours but the pharmacy is also staffed 24 hours. With hours like this it makes it easier for me to be work a visit into my crazy schedule. I can stop in here to pick up just about anything I need from personal items to having a prescription filled. Secondly, this location went through a minor 'make-over' a few months back. As a result it has an very nice open feel to it which makes navigating through the store a lot easier. Going from the entrance to the pharmacy is mostly a straight line whereas previously it was more of zigzag. This location can be quite busy so going during 'off hours' allows me to avoid the lines that can be long at times. Thankfully at the main checkout counter they do a good job managing the lines by opening additional registers when necessary. Unfortunately they are unable to do this in the pharmacy area (due to space and number of pharmacists on staff) so depending on the time of day, that line can become quite long. This said, they do a great job of working with each customer to address their needs. read more

The rule of thumb for whenever I need anything on the road is: Find a Walgreen's. While meandering about in Dallas, I managed to come across this one with some stellar things to report: * Excellent customer service. They dealt with our cluelessness as we roamed the aisles. We felt infinitely more stupid when the items we needed were literally in front of us the whole time. * Lines be gone: I hate lines. And because I somehow came at a time where there might've been a water shortage or some sort of mass lunch errand, I was seeing lines of 5-7 people. Thankfully they had enough on staff to break the line apart to keep things moving. I like where this is going already. * All day, all night: My favorite stat line of them all - 24 hours. This includes the pharmacy apparently, which means I can score a prescription at like 2am? Thank you late night gods. * Lookin good: The place is clean and well organized. Even the bathroom (which an employee kindly let me use) was sparkling clean. Why can't all Walgreen's be this good? Big ups to the endless stream of greeting cards for all occasions. 5 stars to this dynamite location! read more

If you need a quick place to park, just go buy a $2 bottle of wine. Yep, you heard that right, $2! It's not the best, but it's pretty good and will do in a pinch. To make things worse, I take a medication that you're not supposed to unexpectedly stop taking. This review pertains to the pharmacy team ONLY. The retail team from the moment I walk in until I leave is always friendly and helpful. The inconsistent customer service provided by the pharm techs and pharmacists is awful. From one day to the next and this happens every month. I no longer depend on the word given that a script/rx is ready. I've done what I can to remedy this situation by calling ahead of time, documenting names (which you have to ask for because they don't answer the phone with a greeting and their name) and instructions. This is because none of the team there seems to know or practice if they do know accountability. I get it, they are open 23 hours a day and are busy and I am not their only customer. I could go to another pharmacy at the risk of facing delays or not having the qty. on hand or having our scripts at all. we Have been customers for 6 years and have transferred back and forth after failed customer service in the past. if It wasn't for the convenience Of the location that is easily accessible for my blind spouse and the customer service from the retail side of this particular Walgreens I wouldn't spend another dime or minute of my time there.
