I've been trying to get my child's medication refilled for an entire week, and the experience has been extremely frustrating. I sent multiple text messages with no response and called dozens of times. I finally managed to speak with someone yesterday and was told they would send me a payment link, but it never came. I called multiple times again today and left callback requests, but still no response. Every time I do manage to reach someone, I'm told there is a "system issue." At this point, it's very difficult to trust that explanation. My child has already been without their medication for some time because I simply cannot get anyone to respond or complete the refill. This is a child's medication, not something that can just be delayed indefinitely. I honestly don't know what parents are supposed to do when they cannot reach anyone for days. This is now my second direct experience with your pharmacy, and unfortunately, due to continued issues, I would prefer not to EVER get medication from this pharmacy again at this point. When I submitted payment, I clearly selected home delivery. I even followed up with a phone call to confirm if there were any additional charges associated with that option. At that time, I was told everything was in order. However, I later received an update indicating that the prescription was shipping to my physician's office--located over 40 minutes away. I immediately called to address the issue and was told that only a label had been created, and they would intercept it before it shipped. I called again yesterday and was assured the package had not yet shipped and would be sent to my home address. Despite this, I learned it was delivered to the physician's office on 06/11. Additionally, during my most recent call, the representative I spoke with was abrupt and abrasive, and when I requested to speak to someone else, I never got the opportunity. This is an amazing pharmacy. The compounded products they make are superior. The entire staff are amazing so courteous and kind, knowledgeable and professional. They seem to be in the process of changing their name. I needed a compounded prescription and was new to them amazingly they had it to me the next day! This is a horrible place. Diane the pharmacist lies and pits patient vs doc. My doc has even had to have draw out fights with them to get them to do the one job they have. They will collect your money for sure but you getting your medicine is a 10% shot! If you or your Dr are gong to pick this place strong word of caution we are literally having to file a lawsuit against bait and switch conversations which luckily our docs office records. Called a refill in on the 8th and paid for it then. Crickets until I called them on the 11th when they informed me that my prescription had expired on the 9th so they would not refill it. Now, they wanted to refund my payment, get an update on the prescription and then have me pay for it all over again. Here we are 7 days later and still no refund. I've worked with Texas Star Pharmacy for over a year. They've always provided prompt and courteous service on the phone and in person.

Their refill service is WAY too slow. They claim 2-4 business days. It's usually more like 2 weeks. I will be transferring my compounded prescription for my next refill. Update 24 hours later: I spoke to a manager today who was grateful to hear my not so positive feedback. When I picked up my prescription this afternoon, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. If I could I would award a ZERO. Texas Star is selling watered down versions of doctor's prescriptions. My doctor prescribed 50mg of tirzepatide. I receive the meds with an "additive" that equals 50mg. Now doctor upped prescription to 75mg. Texas Star tells me "you will still take 50mg, we will just make it stronger" HELLO -- RED FLAG!!!!!! Therefore, I am not getting what my doctor prescribed or what i am paying for. When questioned, no response from them!!! Will report the to what ever agency I can find. read more

How customer service should be! I was having trouble ordering medication the by phone system on a Sunday and I called back to leave a voicemail and was delighted to have a customer service rep call me back first thing Monday morning from a guy names Marcus. It was nice to speak to someone who really knew his stuff. He explained the payment process and the appropriate wait time until I get my medication. Currently going on week four of waiting for my correct prescription with little to no help. They sent it to the wrong address first (after numerous calls on my end to ensure they had the correct address) and then took another week to resend the prescription but only sent one of the two prescriptions. They seem to not worry about filling a prescription until you call to ask about it. I had a good first visit here. My NP sent my prescription here, and I got the message to pay the invoice the next day. It says it takes 2-3 days to process. After 4 days after payment, I got no updates. I tried calling, but nobody ever answered. I decided to just go there and pick it up. I went on a weekday, around 10 am. If you leave a message that they supposedly "check multiple times a day" they won't ever call you back. I've never had a worse experience than this pharmacy. I've Been Receiving Meds from this Pharmacy for over 2 yrs now. I've had a lot of issues sadly. No Communications, Wrong Communications, Leaving my REFRIGERATED MEDS without an ice pack in hot sun NOTon my door step. We live in an RV community & they have a package depot to drop off packages at that is 140 degrees. Even if something comes with an ice pack it melts in an hour. Unlike other pharmacies, this place has my high demand medication ready with no delays. They offer free delivery to your home. Always choose delivery. This five star pharmacy is now a three star because of the poor customer service at their retail location. I walked in early on a Saturday morning to pick up an Rx. There was one person in line. The cashier never looked up from her computer screen, no greeting from anyone. The pharmacy techs were all super busy in the back filling orders. So I waited. Cashier stood there for a good 15 minutes or more just pushing keys, never saying a word. Meanwhile more customers are walking in and start forming a line. Cashier still doesn't say a word to anyone, just pushing buttons on the keyboard and never looking up. By now the phone is ringing and no one is answering. It kept ringing , call after call after call. After another 8 minutes of this, I was about to reach over the counter and answer the phone! Cashier still never looked up from her computer screen. By now I've been in line over 20 minutes when one of the pharmacy techs comes to the front to assist. There are now about 5 people behind me. Phone is still ringing. I ask the pharmacy tech if she needs to answer that. She didn't respond. Just starts processing my order. She packaged it very nicely and I paid. As I left the pharmacy after 25 minutes , the cashier is still staring at her computer screen and hasn't said a word to anyone and the phone is still ringing. I'll never pick up again. Welp, I'm re writing my review for the third time.... I wrote a poor review initially, someone reached out as a result and helped fix my issues.... I was happy. I dropped off a second script last week... handed it to them myself and saw them walk it back to the pharmacy and then they told me I was all set. I called today to check on the status and they just straight up lost my script. Claiming they have no record of it!???? They may have to call my doctor - you'd think that would be easy but it isn't - on my first visit they said they would need to call my doc to verify things but they never followed through... just didn't do their job. which caused a major delay, I had to figure it out myself and I had to make my doc call them directly.... You literally can't trust this group of people to effectively process orders. Now they just straight up lost the script!? and this is a drug I'm on a schedule with or it becomes ineffective - now my literal health is at risk because I trusted them a second time. Here are my main issues with Texas Star Pharmacy: Communication is awful. You have to wait on hold for a long time to speak to anyone or leave a message and wait for a return call that may or may not come. The people who work in the actual pharmacy part are not all on the same page. Recently, I had an issue that required several calls to Texas Star. Each time, I talked to a different person and got different answers to the same questions. Some standardization would be nice. A prescription that Texas Star says should be ready in 48-72 hours sometimes takes much longer. My prescription involves my own blood, from which the eyedrops are made. And, how long does my blood sit around until they start to make the eyedrops? Surely blood has an expiration date even if it is kept refrigerated. Customer service is woefully lacking at Texas Star. If I need a refill from my doctor, why doesn't the pharmacy call my doctor? If I am requesting an update on the status of my Rx, why doesn't the person on the phone go look to see if it happens to be in the freezer instead of saying "I don't know"? I can not recommend Texas Star for the above issues. I wish there were other compounding pharmacies in the Dallas area (other than Doherety's) that had a "Clean Room" and could process serum eyedrops. I dread each time I have to get my eyedrops refilled at Texas Star. ****Update: Not long after posting this review, I received a call from the Customer Service Manager at Texas Star Pharmacy to discuss my experience with Texas Star Pharmacy that caused me to write this review. She listened while I related all the issues I had experienced there, she apologized, and agreed to look into all the issues I had brought up. She said the lack of customer service I had experienced was not acceptable. She thanked me for my feedback and assured me that there would be "additional training" for employees and that a meeting would be held to address the things I (and others, I'm sure) have been experiencing when doing business at Texas Star. I guess we'll see how successful she is in her attempt to bring about change when it is time for my next Rx refill. She sounded sincere and I wish her the best of luck in her task. One of the few places my wife can fill her particular prescription. They will message her that the script is ready. When she arrives, she routinely waits 30+ minutes for them to actually bring it to her after checking in. This has not just been one time. I guess that's why they have a decent-sized waiting room. My doctor switched me to this pharmacy away from one that I had come to truly appreciate and had a great relationship with for nearly three years (Southern Star). Thus far, the on-boarding process with Texas Star has been dismal at best. They are slow and good luck speaking to a person, after multiple attempts to reach someone, because they text'd me askign to call back. I never was able to get a hold of anyone after 4 times; once you do get an actual person, they seem frustrated to have to deal with actual customers... I am left imagining some owner of this business saying, "this would be such a great business if it wasn't for the customers". their turnaround rate for employees is horrendous. i've worked at this wack ass place they call a pharmacy for about a year and 8 months and i've seen more than 100 employees get fired and hired in that time frame. i guarantee if you call OSHA or Texas Board of Pharmacy they would get shut down. the place is filthy. they let their employees eat and snack while working on prescriptions. the storage room with extra supplies has rats in it, and one of their bathrooms always smells like shit. they don't hire any leads or supervisors that have pharmacy experience so if you have any issues yourself you're screwed cause they couldn't care less. the managers try to bribe employees to stay w donuts and chick fil a sandwich's every 3 weeks. only reason i stayed here is cause i got hired with a good team and then they all left due to personal reasons. just save yourself the time and effort. if you have a compounded prescription, do not take it here. go to drugs crafters in frisco or chelsea's pharmacy that's literally across the street from TSP. For an independent pharmacy they have generous hours. Additionally, their prices can be attractive. On the downside, their staff are unable to answer most questions (even questions not relating specifically to use of the medication) and the pharmacist is too busy. Perhaps they recently lost a pharmacist and are doing the best they can until they fill the position, but thus far it comes off as they are too busy to bother with me as a customer.
