Big shout out to Amanda. Great customer service. Medication was out of stock at my regular location. This is something new that my daughter needed to start as soon as possible. They had the medication in stock. After receiving a call from my local store. They got the medication ready immediately within 30 minutes. It was ready before I even got there. Medication was not covered by the insurance. Amanda was able to apply a copay card from the manufacturer that I provided while I waited. My wait time there was 5 minutes, literally. The other staff were helping other patients, so she took it upon herself to take care of me from start to finish. Fast, speedy, efficient, pleasant, and professional! Mainly come here to pick up photos. A couple of times I've come here to check if they have stuff in stock. It's anybody's guess if there's someone manning the photo section. Sometimes the cashier could care less. Other times, the cashier will request staff through the intercom to go help the photo customers. But the staff never really comes. Last time it took almost 20 minutes to have someone come. Also they don't have stuff in stock when you need them. read more

My boyfriend was looking for caffeine tablets. He is planning his trip to India and has weaned off coffee. However, he is far from being a morning person and wants to avoid sleeping on the job! I had just arrived in Dallas and didn't have a chance to grab my batch of plastic reward cards. Thank goodness I had loaded my Walgreens rewards card on Google Pay. It came in handy for this trip. He is directionally challenged. I have a pretty good sense of where items tend to be in drugstores. He went and asked a staff member where these caffeine tablets were. We were an aisle away. See, we were on track! There was a sale going on. If you have a rewards card, you can buy one bottle of caffeine tablets and get one for free. He took two. We paid. I scanned my rewards barbcode off my phone and got the free bottle. Yay! The personal at the cashier was friendly. He said hi to us when we walked in the store and wished us a great evening as well left with our goods. (22) read more

DO NOT MAKE THIS WALGREENS YOUR PRIMARY PHARMACY! The prescription that I needed was not in stock, so I called around to other Walgreens, when I spoke with the pharmacists from 2 other Walgreens, they were both flabbergasted that I was paying full price for the medication I was getting. They said that the medicine could be run through insurance (which this location told me couldn't) and there were several coupons available that they should have utilized. I paid almost $200 for 5 days worth at this location and with the coupons from the other Walgreens, I paid less than $100 for 15 days worth. Now I wonder what other medications I was overpaying for. read more

Pains me to even give 1 star. Seriously, the worst Walgreens pharmacy! I do love the staff outside of the pharmacy dept, but wow! I only fill here if I have to... and one time btw (exactly a year ago), these "qualified" techs gave me someone else's RX!!' I went to pick up an inhaler and antibiotics and got someone else's birth control and antidepressants! I just want customers to be aware as this is a huge safety issue. I have been trying to refill a prescription unsuccessfully for almos a month. Initially, the pharmacy says that it need to be approved by my insurance UMR. I called my insurance and they asked me to contact my MD to approve a medication that I have taking for over 5 years. After going back and forward between my insurance, the MD office and the pharmacy "finally " It got approved. I went back to the pharmacy today December 30 to get the prescription that supposedly was approved but now the problem was that the prescription order was expired; I called back my MD to get another prescription around 5 pm, my doctor's office send a new electronic prescription, and when I went back to the pharmacy, still, they were saying that it was not approved. I try to transfer it to another pharmacy where I could pay without insurance at a more resanoble price but the pharmacy can't transfer this kind of prescription. I understand the fact that the prescription can't be transfer due to regulations but the issue is the same kind of medication could be purchased at a lower price at any other pharmacy in the Plano area. Comparing prices Walgreens has the highest prices in the area and the customer service was NOT the best. For sure, it is time to switch to a another pharmacy. read more

Our MD called in a prescription after hours. I showed up at 9:35am to pick up this prescription and the pharmacist hadn't even checked the voicemail yet. This is the most poorly run pharmacy I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Thankfully? This will be my LAST time doubt business here. The tech is running around trying to train someone on the computer (thus far, a gentleman has been trying to get his flu shot for over 20 minutes and the new chick is failing miserably). The pharmacist has her RBF on (and told the tech "don't do it for her, she'll never learn".). Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for a Zpack. read more

It seems that every prescription sent to this place is always out of stock. 4 prescriptions sent and only 1 was given to me and was told to look for over the counter meds... no help, no suggestions, nothing. When I asked if they could call another Walgreens to see if they had it they said it would be a waste of time to call them. This is the 4th time that this has happened. Pretty much always liked this location until this morning when I overheard an employee get in a loud argument with a customer about having an appointment for something then shouting 'Merry Fucking Christmas' to the customer as he walked away. Didn't catch her name as her name tag was turned around (heard her say she was a two-year employee from California), but Alan at the register said she did nothing wrong so I guess that behavior is in line with the Walmart Corporate policy. ‍ read more

The store is the only reason this gets a 2 star. It is nice, well stocked most of the time and the employees are friendly. It should be a 1 star based on the pharmacy however. They have a couple of real winners working there who cannot multitask to save their lives. Avoid this pharmacy at all cost especially on weeknights from 4-7PM. I literally sat in the drive through to pick up a script for 25 minutes behind 1 other car and in that 25 minutes the car in front of me got no service at all. I finally drove off as did about 5 other people who pulled up there. I've written to corporate Walgreens about this location and they simply could not give a s*%t less about it. read more

Transferred Rx to this Walgreen's on January 14, 2017, as BCBS is no longer working with CVS. I was told my prescription would be ready the next morning. Several face to face encounters ensued. As of today, February 11th, the refill status still shows as "Delayed due to insurance. We will change status once resolved". Lovely. read more

Came here at 1:20am. My girlfriend was vomitting. It's thanksgiving and she has the flu. She's had a hard time keeping food down. So i came here looking for emetrol. I found the pharmacist that was able to help me find emetrol (anti-nausea agent). He was pretty helpful and friendly. read more

I have always had a great experience here! The pharmacy is usually pretty busy but they have always taken the time to help me and been friendly. The checkers at the front and in the beauty department are super nice! They always help me out and give me coupons when I check out that I didn't even realize were available. The guy in the photo department let me sit on their photo computer for about three hours one night while I made a photo book and helped me along as I needed it. Absolutely the worst pharmacy ever. They gave me a wait time of 2 hours when I first dropped off a prescription for my son around noon. I called them 3 hours later to check on it so they can tell me "it's not quite ready" because my insurance card isn't active. Never heard of such thing but somehow it got "disactivated" during 15 min drive from the doctor's office. My insurance haven't heard of such thing either so they called the pharmacy to confirm the coverage and the pharmacist told them I can pick it up. When I got there (4.5 hours wait already) I was told that they need my insurance card AGAIN to add it to their system. WTH?! After that I get "it should be ready within an hour or so..." Excuse me? Didn't you say it was ready? They haven't touched it since I dropped it off and lied about it. Frustrated I drive back home to my kid who's coughing his lungs out, wait for another 2 hours, call them again. It's 7 hours of wait at this point. This time they promised me it's going to be ready in 45 min. I'm speechless. Never going back. read more

The pharmacy here is terrible! When I first went to drop off my prescription, I had to wait forever just to give them a piece of paper. When I called and had to speak with a staff member, I was put on hold for 15 min, I kid you not. I'm guessing they're understaffed or something but still it's just ridiculous how slow their service is. I would much rather drive further to get my prescription filled elsewhere. read more

I have been to this location many times for medicine and other items. They have been nothing but helpful each time and today they blew my mind! The customer service is so great and I have to give a big shout out to Lori! I needed to gather a couple things that I was not familiar with at all. They are things that 99% of guys know nothing about and she was more than happy to help. I asked her for help and she was more than happy to. She took her time and did not rush through it and even pointed out how purchasing certain items would earn points. I needed to grab something from the pharmacy as well so she offered to hold the items at her register by the fragrances without me even asking. When walking back to her register, she made her self available although she was restocking inventory. She doesn't make this Walgreens feel like just another pharmacy but one that she treats as her own. While I was leaving the store, I could hear her friendliness continue with the next customer. I hope Walgreens knows how lucky they are to have a team member like Lori! read more
