This update is to address Lark's response. First I do appreciate the time you took to actually formulate a thoughtful response and feedback. However, there are some things perhaps you are unaware of or needs clarification. "That being said, you have the right to use the pharmacy of your choice, but please do your research to ensure the pharmacy is accredited in compounding." While that may be true, the doctor that issued the prescription was adamant there were no other places. So what accredited institution do I believe here? You get my point right. "When new prescriptions are sent to our pharmacy from a provider, we ALWAYS call the patient first to verify the Rx is what you were expecting, to go over pricing and give an ETA." I did remember this call for the 1st one yes. But no pricing was shared until I went to actually pay. You may want to review your policy on that or confirm it's actually being followed. "As with any service-based business, hiccups can occur, and when that happens, it would be helpful to let the pharmacist know by phone or in person so we can take corrective action. It's difficult to know how to improve our services or fix a problem from an anonymous Yelp review. Therefore, I would respectfully ask that in the future, if you have an issue with an employee or company policy, please let us know directly so we can take the opportunity to improve." This is fair but if the attitude of the pharmacist or worker is already suspect, what makes you think directly asking would improve? And why would I subject myself to that experience again? For any business, you should always make it an exercise to test and test your customer relations/service again and again preferably through 3rd party instead of challenging reviews which by the way are always anonymous. That can be the most accurate and beneficial. Always take it as constructive feedback and try to avoid jumping to a defensive stance in the future. read more

The pharmacy was very quick to fill my prescription, which was nice, but I had a very awkward encounter with one of the staff. I asked for assistance with an accessibility device/issue regarding my prescription (per my doctor's suggestion). She said they had no such device and explained why using a device with my prescription would be dangerous in terms of controlling dosage (fair enough). However, she couldn't offer me any other suggestions for how I could actually use my prescription. She was pretty dismissive of my accessibility concerns. I was able to come home and easily find a solution to my issue that still allows me to use the medication safely with a quick Google search. And speaking of accessibility, I recommend they consider new seating for their waiting area. They have really cool, unique chairs, but they are very low to the ground. Considering that many of the people who come to a pharmacy may be dealing with physical or medical difficulties, they would be very hard to get out of. One of the staff members even mentioned to me that many customers have voiced concerns about whether they'd be able to get up from the chairs. read more

This place is fantastic. Not only do they go out of their way to be helpful they explain everything so that you are aware of what you are taking and how it can help. Dee referred me to a nurse practitioner Brooke from A Better Way who was amazing for bioidentical hormones that they made for me as well as described went into depth about the herbs that would work to help balance out my system. First time having my perceptions filled here. The gal helping me was very kind and gave me great advice on some of their other items!

Very very rude main lady. It's the older lady not the younger lady. She kept talking over the younger lady. She was horrified that I hadn't heard of one of the brands of vitamin they carry. Then she told me it's not for sale on line. Which is fine. Then she told me "on the bottle it says not for sale online." ......so how would I have seen the line on the label if I've never been able to buy the vitamins before? It was just odd. Super bizarre customer interaction. I won't be going back. Literally rude from the moment I walked in until the moment I walked out. Here's an idea: when a customer hasn't heard of a brand say "oh okay! No worries! I'm so excited to tell you about it!" Instead of "YOU HAVENT HEARD OF IT?" Came across like a used car salesman instead of a health awareness professional. She would ignore me if I said something she didn't like. I said "oh I like Thorne a lot." She said "well they sell mainly to PCOS." I said "yes and I have PCOS." She straight up ignored me. Then I walked over and saw Thorne on the rack. I said "oh you do have Thorne." The younger lady (who was nice) said "yes we do but we don't carry a lot of it." I said "well I could tell that by the nasty reaction she had." Just honestly the most bizarre woman. I hope she's not the owner. That would be so sad if so. Rudest customer service person I've met in a long time. I saw someone else on these reviews said maybe it was because she was wearing a mask that the lady was rude. I wasn't wearing a mask and she was beyond rude. So sounds like she's an equal opportunity employer of rudeness. Again. Won't be going back. Find another place where they are kind. I know northlake on northwest highway is awesome and has wonderful and kind employees. read more

I was a patient at their original location in Dallas & followed them up here when this store opened since I do live in Farmers Branch. I like the staff there. They are knowledgeable about the supplements that I use (they even do muscle testing by Cody-the owner when she's available & they generally have my prescriptions ready in a reasonable amount of time. Keep in mind that they are a compounding pharmacy so it's not a "walk in, walk out" thing like CVS or Walmart. They make most of the medicine as it's ordered so, yeah sometimes it will take more than a day or 2. I like that the staff is always the same familiar faces & the girl who checks me out usually remembers me by sight. It makes me feel important. Only real complaint- neither location takes insurance. :-( read more

I have been going to a compounding pharmacy for about 3 years and understand the benefits of bio-identical vs. synthetic drugs. I had some issues at my other pharmacy and had heard good things about Abrams Royal so decided to give them a try and I was SO impressed! I'm a fan and have been with them a little over a year. They were super nice when I was in there today so I decided to show the love and write a review. First they are very personable and professional and the ladies who worked there were sincerely friendly (and it's the same people each time not a rotating door like the previous place I went). They actually took time to explain things to me and sincerely took an interest in helping me! The difference was night and day from my previous experience with a compounding pharmacy. I love that Abrams Royal is owned and operated by a local family and that they have been in business for decades. They also went above and beyond working with me to get a prescription early when I was traveling out of town. I don't go in there often but when I do they know my name and answer all my questions and are never in too much of a hurry to help me. At any rate, just thought I would share my opinion in case you had been given a run-around like I had gotten at my previous pharmacy ... OH - and BONUS ... the same prescription was about 15% less expensive at Abrams Royal - can't beat that! read more

They do a fantastic job!! A while ago, I took them for granted and had my prescriptions transferred to a slightly cheaper pharmacy closer to my house. Well, I ended up coming back to Abrams Royal because they are so much better!! They always have my meds ready on time. The prices are always the same as what they were last time. I never have to call more than once when I need to get a medication refill. They just make the process so incredibly easy! I just wish they took insurance so I could afford to have them fill all my prescriptions! read more

You get what you pay for and you can't put a price on your health. This pharmacy is always helpful and provides great recommendations for whatever is going on in my ever-changing and yes, aging body. I really dig this place. The team seems up on otc supplements and the girl with red hair is able to help me when I cant remember what I usually buy. Pricing can be a lil higher than Walmart stuff but I have compared the dosing to theirs and the stuff from Abrams is higher in amount & quality of companies offered. Overall, I've been happy with my trips there. read more

I am very pleased with my experience with Abrams-Royal II and highly recommend them for bioidentical hormone creams and compounded thyroid medication. I am an odd duck and don't fall under the normal bell curve for most drugs, so I ask a lot of questions. I left my last compounding pharmacy for inadequate patient care, and I'm glad I did my research on compounding pharmacies before moving on. Abrams-Royal is one of the few accredited compounding pharmacies in the area. Cody has been very patient and extremely helpful with my medications. read more

The front desk person (I think Amber is her name) was very abrasive and rude. After waiting for a refill for days, I went by and asked about my prescription. The shelf-life of my medication was limited so I pointed to her that my drug is almost expired. She acted totally annoyed and unapologetic. She threw the package with medication on the table and wouldn't talk to me. I had to ask for the pharmacist who was polite and helpful. I had to come back two days later (another delay) to pick up the drugs since they had to re-do the initial work because of the expiration. read more
