They no longer answer their phone in this location. You can hear when someone picks up the phone then places your call on hold again. The staff used to be consistently kind when you would walk in or go through the drive through. No more! When I typically pick up medication here I don't get a prior email, text, or phone that my order is ready. I've mentioned it to them they just say they'll reset my phone to receive calls. Still no change! Today we went in to purchase Mylar balloons, because their inventory is so low we thought we'd purchase them and come back with our receipt in 6 days and have them fill the Mylar balloons with helium. We were highly disappointed when the manager told us we couldn't do that. Her poor reaching for a justifiable excuse was when you pay for balloons at a party store you have to take the balloons with you at that time!!! Anyone that has ever purchased balloons at a party store knows this isn't true! You can pay for your balloons ahead of time and pick them up at a later date example: the day you're having your party!

What really stood out to me, though, was the leadership of the store manager, Misty. We visited on Saturday during a snow day, and I needed to purchase a money order. The customer service desk was closed, but when I asked Misty for help, she immediately stepped in. She found someone who could assist me and calmly encouraged the employee through the process since they were new to handling money orders. She was professional, patient, and supportive without taking over. While I was there, I overheard Misty thanking multiple employees for coming in on a snow day. It was clearly genuine, not forced, and you could feel the mutual respect between her and the team. The employees clearly respect her, and she clearly values them. At one point, the associate helping me mentioned that Misty was heading out to do cart duty. That honestly impressed me. It seemed completely normal to the staff that their manager would jump in wherever needed -- even on a snow day -- which says a lot about her work ethic and leadership. Walmart doesn't always have the best reputation when it comes to how employees are treated, but Misty sets a completely different standard. Her leadership shows not just in how well the store runs, but in how supported and respected the employees clearly feel.

One lane of the drive through wasn't open for months and it can be excruciatingly slow during rush hour. Several prescriptions have been wrong in the past, although I have noticed steps being taken to prevent that more recently. Most of the frustrations have been due to laws, insurance, and the doctor's illegible scribbles. I did witness a less than professional exchange with a customer, but to be fair, she WAS obnoxious and I was about to go off on her, myself. It is not their fault when a drug is not covered the way you think it should be, especially when it comes to government programs. I've always been civil when there were issues and never had a problem with anyone there. And we're there a LOT.
