I have recently begun acquiring a prescription from Community located on Teasley Ln in Denton, and each time I go to pick it up, the staff is exceptionally professional and friendly. When my prescription is ready, I receive a text message notifying me to pick it up, and even if I do not receive a text, and call, they are consistently very polite. I have visited other pharmacies where the clerks seldom engage in conversation; however, Community ensures that they communicate with me every single time. read more

Beware! Poor Customer service. There are no signs up and the staff does not make you aware of the policy prior to a purchase, but there is a NO RETURN policy printed at the bottom of your receipt that they rely on to protect themselves from the sale of a faulty merchandise or purchase error. Although this may be legally sufficient to cover their a**s, it lacks integrity, transparency and honesty. When I was talking to the staff person during my merchandise selection and said I wasn't sure the merchandise was what I needed, I may need to check, that would have been an opportune time for the sales person to say, "Well, all sales are final so you may want to make sure first". Or at least have a clearly visible sign at the register stating all sales are final. No, it's in small print at the bottom of your receipt with no notification until you try to bring it in for a return. Not returning here, in any meaning of the word. Shysters. read more

It is funny to me that they decided to respond to my comment over a year after I posted it. Despite the claims that they were following federal regulations, I was able to obtain the prescription from the other Community Pharmacy location in Denton. They seemed to have no issue selling it to me as a first time customer at that location too. Unfortunately, that location has since closed. read more

This is the best pharmacy I've ever used (I've used a lot of them over the years & am in the medical field). They are ALWAYS on top of things & have even called me when I'm due to pick up a RX on a holiday (& well in advance so I could make other arrangements to get it when they're open) & they're always very knowledgeable, helpful & friendly. I won't go anywhere else. I like to support small family businesses as well. Their cash prices when I haven't had insurance are also great. Highly recommend! read more

Pharmacy customer service is rude, nobody knows what's going on. I never got texts from them stating my prescriptions are ready, even though they would say " you should've received a text". After months using them, they still had an old address even though every time I picked up a prescription, I would verify my insurance. Community Pharmacy that was on Scripture street was amazing and my entire family used them for years. The entire staff at the Scripture location was accommodating and so friendly, but unfortunately this Teasley location lacks all the above including the pharmacist. I will never use this pharmacy again, and will pass this along to my patients. read more

After reading all the negative reviews for this pharmacy, I felt the need to write a positive review in hopes it may persuade you to use them if you are on the fence. I too used the Scripture location for many years, going back to the Bill Neu days. Since that location closed, I had my rx's transferred to the Teasley location. I never once encountered a rude associate or pharmacist. They answer the phone promptly and never have I felt rushed when asking a question, if I had one. I've seen them patiently answer questions for a customer who had asked the same question repeatedly until they knew she understood how to take her medication. I thought then and I still believe now they are the most patient people in the business. I recently had to pick up a prescription for a friend at one of the big 'chain' pharmacies and believe me when I say, there is a definite difference in customer service between them and Community Pharmacy. I trust this pharmacy with all my prescriptions and I hope you do too. read more

I made an online appointment for a Yellow Fever Vaccine. I was struggling to find a place to administer one but then came across Community Pharmacy online. They mad the process super easy online and in person. My favorite thing about this place is how kind and patient all of the employees are. I was fumbling with my insurance and it was delaying my appointment, however they proceeded with great customer service. The wait time for me and other customers was very short. The store is also beautifully decorated and stocked. I will definitely be back for my pharmacy needs. read more

Told me they couldn't fill my son's prescription that " insurance wouldn't reimburse them" I have a bcbs ppo....the most commonly accepted plan in Texas. Then my wife tried to move her prescription over. They wanted to hear from both doctors on Friday night. Then after she did that. Saturday they said they were not comfortable filling what the doctor prescribed. What she's been on for 2 years. We were just trying to shop local, support a local business we thought was good. This is a nice little pharmacy, they don't stock much over the counter medicine like a big franchise pharmacy. The sell arts/crafts stuff as well. Their service is really good and they seem to stock all prescription medicine that you would expect. read more

This pharmacy is a dream. We had a few meds that we could never find in stock in Denton. And calling some pharmacies prompted negative attitudes. Yes they are pain meds! Community Pharmacy always has them. (OKAY once they owe us five tabs!) Now we.dont need to worry! They are very nice, as well. I am so glad we found them! One time I was sick and couldnt go. They noticed and told my hubby they hoped I felt better! It feels like "the good ole days," when people cared for each other. We LOVE it! read more

I've had two medications which usually other pharmacies can provide manufacturers coupons. Community pharmacy will not even look one up for you. One medication was $150 with my insurance. Had to call my dermatologist back and say that it was too expensive and I need to find a different pharmacy. She gave a name of one which has a file of the manufacture coupon. And they shipped it to me for free and I didn't have to pay anything. So save yourself money and look into other pharmacies that go above and beyond for their customers. Community pharmacy is a horrible pharmacy. Was great until they said they will not look up coupons for me. While other pharmacies have them on file and will automatically apply them without you having to sign up for it on GoodRx. read more

I'd dealt with the chain pharmacies in the past and thought that the limited hours at community were a problem, but even if they were only open 2 days a week I'd choose them. Everyone is friendly and genuinely cares that your health needs are taken care of. They go above and beyond in every single way. read more

We moved all of our scripts over to Community after trying Walgreens, CVS, and Kroger. Their customer service is unmatched. And in response to the negative post- I didn't have this experience with them. I wonder if it had to do with a specific KIND of drug you wanted to fill? I can think off hand of a few that would raise a red flag to be filled outside of your regular pharmacy. read more

Thanks to old age and bad lifestyle choices when I was much younger, my monthly pharmacy bill is about $400, give or take. I have used Kroger Pharmacy on Teasley Lane since we moved to Denton 2 years ago. My main motivation for using them is I have always received good service in a timely manner, but a close second would be for every 2 prescriptions you have filled there you get a .10 cent a gallon discount on gas. Last week my pharmacy didn't have one of my medications and wouldn't be able to get it for a week. No problem, I took my prescription to Community Pharmacy. The woman who was working the window to my script and returned in about 5 minutes. She told me they had my medication and did I have any other prescriptions I wanted to transfer to their pharmacy. I said no, because I wanted to try them out before I transferred anything. The lady told me that they would fill my prescription THIS TIME, but no more. Not unless I transferred all my prescriptions to Community! A really good way to earn someone's business is to treat them with respect and courtesy.
