Close to the truck stop convenient
    Kevin D.

#92-2021 Well contrary to the reviews in the past things must have changed over here. I got laid over in Denton Texas for the weekend running out of pills so I wanted to get some refills. Looked up see if there any Walgreens nearby where I get my truck into where I dropped my trailer back to truck stop and bring the tractor Down there was just one right across from Texas women's University looked like plenty of parking easy access just four Mile jaunt up us 77. to town another surprise I'm like the ones around me that's 24/7 pharmacy included. So I called the phone number and said I want to order some refills what surprised me unlike my home Walgreens in the Chicago area where the actual store answers they have call centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area I didn't actually speak to the pharmacist or the pharm tech at the store that was the call center that was taking calls for them. Did I care hell no didn't matter to me who the heck takes to call Bozo the clown could take the call as long as it all came fine. So I ordered up my prescription med said I'll be there in the next day they said they should be there probably around noonish I said cool. I dropped my trailer at the truck stop and bobtailed on up found it it was very easy. I walked in the store was very clean and went back to the pharmacy and was greeted immediately said I'll be with you in a minute I said fine gave her my name and my put my phone number in for my Walgreens rewards and there were my prescriptions as I wanted. They were very cordial I bought some vitamins and some potato chips I didn't know Pringles had lightly salted but they did. And I went up to the other register where I was greeted and everything was fine I didn't see any one star or two star warranting of reviews on my visit. I did have to take a whiz so I hit the can and I was really surprised how clean it was it really surprised me and yeah it's the bathroom but they had Old Time wallpaper Walgreens and it had pictures of all the old Walgreens history I thought it was really cool. A lot of Chicago stuff because thier home base is the north suburb of Chicago, Deerfield Illinois to be exact. but I thought it was really neat to see on the wall the old time Walgreens stores and everything else little things like that catch my eye cuz I like nostalgia. All in all I could definitely say I'll use this Walgreens again if I'm down here in the north Texas area because it was easy to drop my trailer at the truck stop and cruise right on up about 7 minutes up the road I was there and keep up the good work the staff was fine from the pharmacy to the regular cashiers and everything else

a picture of a ceiling ventter

Walked in for some health medicine and instantly the oder of what smelled like black mold hit me and I thought it was the carpet at the entrance but at the pharmacy the smell was just as strong . Should I start wearing my chemical mask when i visit ?

They have a line like this any and every time I have come here.

This is the worst place ever to have a pharmacy filled. I literally downloaded this app, so that I could leave a review of how horrible this particular Walgreens service is. Drive thru and inside. I have been waiting in this line long enough to the point that the numbing my dentist used on me has completely gone away from my root canal. It takes them 15-20 mins per customer. They should fire the entire staff. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible

    Drive park lane

If zero would be a choice zero is what it would be. 5pm and it seems they took a dinner break. 17 minutes and not even one car has moved. Now I'm blocked in. These people are idiots. Twenty minute finally see movement in the drive park (not thru) lanes. Thirty minutes. I guess they ate dinner

They never ever ever pick up the pharmacy phone. Customer service is rock bottom. Techs are brusque and rude in general. Just...awful.

Having visited eight in the last week, from Auburn AL and Pass Christian MS and across Texas), it's easy to see how formulaic they are and how they all have the same features. Located adjacent to a busy highway exit, it's easy to access and they don't allow tractor trailers so you're not dodging big trucks. Huge expansive parking lot that rings the whole store. Dozens if not a hundred gas pumps, all clean and free of litter. Multiple entrances with handicapped parking immediately in front of each one. Inside, you'll probably get a "Welcome to Buc-ee's!" as you enter. As you walk around the store, you'll maybe here a shouted "Fresh brisket on the board!" as a new piece of beef is set out for slicing. In the center, a sandwich station where they're making up tacos and sandwiches. There's an area where they are candying nuts. A fudge counter. A jerky counter. A handmade tortilla station. Bunkers with snacks and fresher foods like salads, sandwiches, protein packs, cups of banana pudding and coconut pie. A wall of soda fountains with two dozen options. Coffee and fixings. A third of the store is consumed with decor. Some of it is very much Buc-ee's merchandise with tshirts, swimsuits, hats, jackets and the like. A seasonal tshirt on display. And much of it is Southern styled decor with the occasional bible quote or some other risque and double entendre. Clean restrooms. No, really. They pay a $40k a year salary to people to keep the floors clean, the counters wiped, the paper towels stocked and the toilets clean. I have never seen a dirty Buc-ee's toilet in ever. There a reason Buc-ee's is a destination and they're working to come closer to you. I've been to Buc-ee's in ten states and they're expanding with new ones in Colorado, Ohio and Arizona opening recently. Go check it out! [Review 411 of 2026 - 720 in Texas - 25594 overall]

We really wanted to buy as much craft beer as we could find and Howdy Doody did not disappoint. Why and how did we end up there? We called ahead and ordered a few meals from Mr. Chopsticks so we could eat on when we got home the next day. After we went through the drive thru, we parked and walked over to Howdy Doody to check out their selection. For a small store, their selection of craft beer is amazing!!! Definitely wasn't expecting the amount that they had! We checked out the "craft beer" store near UNT and their selection was disappointing in comparison. If you want craft beer, go to Howdy Doody!

Their beer prices are kind of high - for craft can 6 packs, we usually pay $10. That said, the prices are pretty comparable to the beer prices at Midway, and Howdy Doody is easier to get in and out of. They don't always have what I am looking for, but they always have something that I like (something I cannot say for the nearby 7-11) when it comes to beer. PokéStop next door at Chopsticks, and a gym across the street at the doctor's office. The employees here are always pretty chill - no one is particularly friendly and I've never seen an employee out from behind the counter, but they are always nice, fast, and get the job done without issue. Overall, if I have the time, I go elsewhere for beer, but only because of the price. Otherwise, this is a neat little c-store in a great location.

BACKGROUND: This taco shop is fairly close to my work so easy decision to get food here if I'm short on time. Good Mexican food, definitely NOT Tex-Mex! FOOD Ok, being a recent refugee from CA to TX, I was told that Texas doesn't have good Mexican food. This is oft repeated in a FB group I'm part of, but one thing I noticed that most of these people don't live in the more ethnically diverse parts and getting their Mex at Tex Mex places. One of the great things about living in and around Denton is that there's a wealth of great mom and pop Mexican restaurants in the area. This place is no exception. I'd say my hands down favorite things to order here are the "street" tacos. Meaning they serve their tacos on a single smal chicanitas (small corn tortillas, maybe I butchered the spelling) and have a good choice of meats and vegetarian options. However there have been times some of my favorites weren't available, hence the minus star. They do though make one of the better al pastor tacos I've had in quite some time. And its consistently good, so there's a recommendation for you. I'm not too impressed by the lengua though. They also make a pretty good sopes as well. If you've never had a sopes, you're missing out. SALSA The family makes this excellent I mean EXCELLENT red salsa. I'm sure it has a name, but man it's really spicy (not gringo spicy) and has that nice semi chunky texture that I like. See my pic. GAS STATION While it may not look like it from the outside, you can drive around the back and get drive thru service. Never done it myself, but letting you guys know its available. If you go inside, its a decently stocked mini-market with adult beverages, soft beverages, and some general grocery items (no vegetables or fruit) like chips and other sundries. PO-PO JUST DOWN THE STREET/SAME BLOCK Pro tip: Don't do stupid s--t near this place. It is literally on the same block as the Denton Police station. They are always turning around the corner and down the street to park in their lot. RETURN VISIT? So far so good!
