I was very surprised when I tried to schedule myself for Juvederm injections recently…read more 9 and 10 years ago I received Juvederm injections at Dr. Anderson's spa and it went perfectly. 2 years ago I went in for Juvederm injections and had a bad reaction. The nurse asked what other medications I recently had and I told her I had a Physer covid booster 2 days prior. She quickly got an antidote to neutralize the reaction. She was apologetic for someone not telling me to avoid certain medications before getting Juvederm injections. She treated me very well, apologized and gave me ice pads for my face. And I felt it was my fault for getting the covid booster before the Juviderm. When I got home and looked in the mirror, I was very surprised. It was very ugly. It was surly a bad reaction. I texted the spa and told them that my face was very ugly. Now, fast forward to present day: I made the appointment on November 19th. Then I received a call from a woman who said that I could not return to the spa at all for anything because of the way I acted after the Juvederm reaction 2 years ago. She continued to accuse me of many things. She told me that, at that time, she tried to call me back to the spa, and I wouldn't come. (I don't remember this) She said, that I told her to stop harassing me. I believe this as a lie. I would never say that because she was nice to me at the time. I remember the nurse was not mad at me 2 years ago, nor was I mad at her or upset at anyone. It was a continual verbal abuse on the phone and a very big surprise. I don't know why she would make these accusations at this time. Possible she thought that the same Juvederm reaction would take place if I had it done, and it would embarrass her or the spa?? Or, she didn't like me texting the spa to tell how I saw my face? I don't know. My wife and I spent well over $45,000 on plastic surgery and some on Juvederm from Doctor Anderson during the last 20 years and everything was great with high quality, perfect surgeries. Why am I treated this way now? This above is the absolute truth. I am a Christian and it would be very difficult for me to lie.

I wanted to update on my post from several months ago on the poor surgical result and experience…read more(lack of reply to my issue) with Dr. Burns. It has now been approximately 8 months and still no reply regarding my issues from Dr. Burns or his office. I have since flown from Indy to Houston Texas and had my belly button revision. This is the first of what will be a two stage correction meaning I will travel again and pay again for a second revision procedure because of how poor my belly button was done initially. My current surgeon is perplexed by what exactly was done in my surgery with Burns. The only thing he can guess is that the incisions were closed with too much tension especially with the lower long scar he possibly took too much skin and had to pull the incision too tight causing the belly button to have constant pulling on my incisions. My long scar initially post op did start opening in a few spots which was told was normal and to put bacitracin on and keep it covered. Now I see this was also probably related to the the incision being closed too tightly. My low incision didn't heal great because of this as I said in my previous post but at least that could be covered with clothing etc. The revision has to be done in two steps since there was zero laxity left from my surgery with Burns. My new surgeon went in from the low incision and excised some of the excess scar tissue and took out the "outer circle incision" and has managed to actually tuck everything in (scar and incision) to be moreso hidden inside the bellybutton as new technique is done versus the antiquated "circle" around the whole outside of the bellybutton that Burns did. My next surgery will be to hopefully make the belly button smaller and tuck everything in further. My new surgeon didn't have the laxity at this point to work with requiring the second surgery I will need. To add my new surgeon who is truly an artist and updated in his techniques also completely revised my low scar and took out the widened areas that was caused my by initial incision being too tight and pulling open. He did this as a courtesy at no charge. After my next revision procedure when things are all healed up I will post before and afters - at this point I am still self conscious about it despite it being so much better that it was with Dr. Burns result. My new lower revised incision looks fantastic however and from week four was thin and you really had to look for it!!! He brought it lower and into my contour more... I really didn't realize how subpar my low incision even was as I was so focused on my poor belly button result. At this point I am out SO much money between my initial travel to Dallas for Dr Burns and two subsequent visits with Dr Burns again traveling from Indianapolis for him to attempt to "fix it." Airfares, hotels rental cars x 3 Dallas trips. My initial request was asking Dr Burns to refund my tummy tuck fee portion of my initial surgery cost which went unanswered. With all of my other expenses and now my revision procedures x 2 and subsequent travel across the US I have/am spending a fortune to fix Dr Burns poor work. What I asked of Dr Burns was a small small amount in the big scheme of things. The fact that I have still not received any reply to my initial emails and request speaks volumes to me about Dr Burns and his true charachter. Like I said prior these people will seem over the top friendly and caring, and Dr Burns will email you and respond to your emails personally until you have a problem or concern and then it will fall upon deaf ears and you will not get a reply. If you are seeking a surgeon once again I would advise you to keep looking. I found Dr Burns on TikTok and truly wished I didn't fall for the cutesy comedy videos and fake persona that they/he portrays - I wish I would have went with someone who was spending their free time updating their outdated techniques. Someone who is more focused on my surgery than perhaps rushing through it to go make the next TikTok video. I will keep sharing my result and experience on this platform and others in hopes that it helps others. Dr Burns has recently renovated his fancy office and practice suite yet could not have the decency to refund a very small nominal amount of money for his mistake. That tells me all I need to know about who he truly is as a person and what his priorities are.

During the wait time I discovered the doctor I was seeing was basically finishing his training. Uh no.. I expected to see an experienced surgeon. I'm really mad I wasn't told this prior to making an appointment and paying. I would've never made the appointment. I searched for the doctor trainee and I couldn't find any reviews or before and after photos of anything he's ever done. Sorry not going to be someone's practice dummy. I am highly pissed I took off work early drove to the other side of town for nothing. And now that it's after 5pm I get to battle traffic for 45 mins to get home.

My neck was sagging, slight jowling, and wrinkle bands etching on the skin around the front of my neck. Too much sun!! I kept the neckbands at bay for a few years with botox injections. My face is in good shape, round cheeks, not a lot of deflation. I wasn't in a hurry, so over the past 4 years, I spoke to 3 different surgeons. A few talked about a face lift... but my face wasn't showing the age like my neck and the jowl area. One day, I looked on the RealSelf website and came across a photo of a patient of Dr. Kasden who had done exactly what I was looking for, a clean defined neck and better definition around the jawline. I made an appointment with Dr. Kasden and took the photo of his patient I found on the website with me. 1. Consultation. I showed Dr. Kasden the photo of his patient and explaining that is what I want done as well... a necklift and a little cleaning up around the jawline. He went into detail about the steps in the procedure to get that outcome, drawing a diagram of the side of a head and showed where the incisions would be made, the nipping, tucking and stitching. He was direct in telling me the area around the incisions would be numb for a while the nerves reconnected.  Pricing on the procedure was very reasonable.  2. Procedure. I chose to have the procedure in the office, meaning no general anesthesia and being fully awake. Understand that Dr. Kasden must have gotten straight A's in chemistry because the man is a genius when it comes to "mixing the right cocktail of medications" to bring you to a twilight state and keep you pain free during the procedure. I have no memory of the procedure even though I was awake. What I did have were sensations - pulling and pressure - but no pain. 3. Post-procedure. Now you would think that after a procedure where a quarter of the side of your face (including the back half of your ear) has been severed/unattached from your head you would have pain during the recovery. The pain that I did experience was mild and lasted 36 hours. On the top part on the back of my ear where the stitches were, about a day before the stitches were to be removed, it hurt where my glasses sat on my ear. As soon as the stitches were removed, the pain went away.  4. Staff and Nurse who assists with procedures.  Top notch, responsive, personable, sharp. Totally in tune with patients and Dr. Kasden. The team works together seamlessly. I am 7 months post procedure. WOW, my jawline is beautiful, no little jowls now!! I do look 15 years younger!

I was in surgery for almost 8 hours! I have a huge burn looking scar on my cheek. One side of my neck hangs down and behind both ears really bad burn looking scars! And there is a small nick on my face that wasn't there before surgery. He shrugged it off like sometimes complications happen. And, even charged me for a couple of laser treatments afterwards! I have had multiple lazar and other procedures done to improve the terrible scars ON MY FACE without much success. Plus is bedside innuendo's always made me uncomfortable. My very honest review of my experience. I believe dr. Friedman is a master of his craft but…read moreultimately I was disappointed with how he handled me. I came in about a month ago wanting lipo on my belly and sides. I told Dr. Friedman my story up until then, that over the last year and a half I had dropped from close to 40% body fat to 28, but I just wanted a more targeted fat reduction on my belly. The doctor told me that, while he was willing to do the procedure, he advised against it as it wouldn't get me to my ultimate goal, immediately instead he started to pitch me GLP-1s. I know many people have seen success with GLP-1s, including family, but I tried to explain to the doctor that I didn't think GLP-1s were the miracle I needed. GLP-1s work by mimicking the body's hormones that signal satiation. They are very strong appetite suppressants and I referred to them as such. GLP-1s also take a year to be effective, cost upwards of $130 a month, and research shows that the body doesn't just loose fat, but lean a lot of mass is also lost in the process and as a man, this was something I wanted to avoid. After people stop talking the peptide, 2/3rds of people regain the weight because they have not learned to control themselves without it. I also didn't feel like I needed it because I had been slowly loosing my body fat over the previous year anyway. The doctor tried to convince me that GLP-1s don't just hold off cravings, that they help boost metabolism too, when I asked him to explain how he just fumbled his words around. I came in knowing the doctor couldn't remove all the fat from me, but I did just want a targeted fat lost on my belly. I don't think the doctor was incompetent in anyway or directly benefits from people getting Ozempic. I think he's just very selective for who he chooses to preform procedures on, taking in clients he's 100% sure he can do top results with, and pitches Ozempic to people he can't work with as a means of compensating for their time.

It seems that they are still touting this falsity. This was not accurate, as my insurance PA was approved and insurance paid their share with a different surgeon despite not having 12 months of continuous therapy. No where in my policy did it state this was necessary, and this was confirmed by the insurance company. Not only was this an inaccurate statement, but it was insisted upon in an extremely rude manner, as if I or my insurance company did not know what we were talking about. I'm not sure why they insisted and continue to insist that this was/is true when it factually was/is false. It's one thing to have an office policy that patients must undergo 12 months of therapy to schedule surgery, but do not lie and say that this is a requirement when it's not. Alan Dulin or the AIfPS also doesn't appear in the bcbs blue card PPO provider directory, which might indicate that he/the practice is not actually in network with bcbs PPO plans. Lastly, pictures were taken during my consult, which did not happen with my actual surgeon. When I asked him why he didn't take pictures, he said that wasn't a standard experience during a consultation. In retrospect and after the negative experience with their insurance coordinator, that made me uncomfortable. Would have made more sense to do this before surgery when I was a confirmed patient.
