For some years now, I've been looking to reduce the "signs of aging" and dial back a few years on my neck and lower face. My neck was sagging, slight jowling, and wrinkle bands etching on the skin around the front of my neck. Too much sun!! I kept the neckbands at bay for a few years with botox injections. My face is in good shape, round cheeks, not a lot of deflation. I wasn't in a hurry, so over the past 4 years, I spoke to 3 different surgeons. A few talked about a face lift... but my face wasn't showing the age like my neck and the jowl area. One day, I looked on the RealSelf website and came across a photo of a patient of Dr. Kasden who had done exactly what I was looking for, a clean defined neck and better definition around the jawline. I made an appointment with Dr. Kasden and took the photo of his patient I found on the website with me. 1. Consultation. I showed Dr. Kasden the photo of his patient and explaining that is what I want done as well... a necklift and a little cleaning up around the jawline. He went into detail about the steps in the procedure to get that outcome, drawing a diagram of the side of a head and showed where the incisions would be made, the nipping, tucking and stitching. He was direct in telling me the area around the incisions would be numb for a while the nerves reconnected.  Pricing on the procedure was very reasonable.  2. Procedure. I chose to have the procedure in the office, meaning no general anesthesia and being fully awake. Understand that Dr. Kasden must have gotten straight A's in chemistry because the man is a genius when it comes to "mixing the right cocktail of medications" to bring you to a twilight state and keep you pain free during the procedure. I have no memory of the procedure even though I was awake. What I did have were sensations - pulling and pressure - but no pain. 3. Post-procedure. Now you would think that after a procedure where a quarter of the side of your face (including the back half of your ear) has been severed/unattached from your head you would have pain during the recovery. The pain that I did experience was mild and lasted 36 hours. On the top part on the back of my ear where the stitches were, about a day before the stitches were to be removed, it hurt where my glasses sat on my ear. As soon as the stitches were removed, the pain went away.  4. Staff and Nurse who assists with procedures.  Top notch, responsive, personable, sharp. Totally in tune with patients and Dr. Kasden. The team works together seamlessly. I am 7 months post procedure. WOW, my jawline is beautiful, no little jowls now!! I do look 15 years younger! read more

BEWARE!! RUN!!! Don't let this guy clip your fingernails! It's been approx. 2 years since Kasden butchered my face! I'm scarred for life! He did a full face lift. $15K! I was in surgery for almost 8 hours! I have a huge burn looking scar on my cheek. One side of my neck hangs down and behind both ears really bad burn looking scars! And there is a small nick on my face that wasn't there before surgery. He shrugged it off like sometimes complications happen. And, even charged me for a couple of laser treatments afterwards! I have had multiple lazar and other procedures done to improve the terrible scars ON MY FACE without much success. Plus is bedside innuendo's always made me uncomfortable. Since the surgery, I have spoken to other medical people and he has a bad rep. He said this had never happened b4 but I have heard different. Wish I would have researched him better! So this was my second attempt to see Dr . KASDEN The first time I I went in for a consultation for a Breast Augmentation and saw one of his Nurses ( she is no longer there) She seemed she was on alot of medication / slurring ect. so I decided not to do the surgery with this office.. 5 years later Covid hit and offices like these just opened for filler / botox ect. I looked up an office in Southlake thinking this was a great area come too find out I have definitely been too this office before!! I quickly asked if the nurse from a while back was there and she said she was no longer employed. So I decided to move on with filler. My very first time. So I sit down, I have never heard or seen any doctor do this before. He completely numbed my whole entire face.. But why?? How can you put filler in a face thats completely swollen from the lidocaine, also the filler already has numbing in it!!! I was worried from the start.. I asked questions and he said it was too make me more comfortable. But definitely made me uncomfortable!! Come to find out he over filled my under eyes way too much / they looked like I had been beaten. I had two dents under my eyes. I also had filler in my smile lines. Once it was settled I knew something was wrong. I saw a blue tint on my smile lines where he had filled. I ended up going to Renew Beauty in North Park an amazing office btw and was told I had a Tyndall effect which means it was a superficial puncture were he inserted the filler, he did not go deep enough into my skin what led to this blue effect. She said it may or may not dissappear over time. I thought I was in good hands with a plastic surgeon. I will definitely not be coming back to this office because this was a very scary experience especially when its your Face!!! I will say I gave 2 stars because the doctor was still very nice and personal.. I wish the Results didn't come to this but they did. Had Botox. Was supposed to be primarily for glabellar region. He did 3 areas. Well, now my forehead is smooth but glabellar region is unaffected and my expression has gone from looking angry to looking completely sinister and narrow eyed as if I am working out some heinous plot to destroy whomever I happen to be conversing with at the time. Glabellar region also feels very tired, as if it's holding everything up without help from the other now dead muscles. Dr. Kasden seems okay, odd affect upon meeting him, and did not appear to personalize the injections. He seems to have a set region he injects on everyone...guess I should just do glabella and nothing else next time...but I may just forego putting poison in me all together...sounds like a plan? I am a 41yrs old black female and this is my first plastic surgery experience (performed Friday and today is Monday morning). I was searching to get my replacement breast augmentation(due to age of implants-which is normal if you follow the guidelines) I went to 3 different Dr's to have a consultation since my last procedure was 15 yrs ago. 2 of the Dr's had me in/out within 10 min and did not really explain much. I am not surprised Dr. Kasden has to respond to my POOR review of his practice. It is vital that I explain to anyone who is considering Dr. Kasden to Please seek another doctor. As you see I had to fly to Southlake, TX, stay in a hotel, etc. I would have not ever gone through that sort of journey or expense had everything been discussed before and agree to before hand. However, because I was 20 mins late to the appointment - due to the hotel shuttle in which I ended up having to take a cab - he was outraged and reprimanded me for the first 20 mins "before the surgery"! He then told me he didn't even want he wasn't going to do the surgery and that I looked fine? Well, if I looked "fine" why, after reviewing my photos over extensive email and phone conversations did he schedule a surgical date in the first place? I was overwhelmed by his wrath and outlandish arrogance. He then forced me to sign a paper that in which I agreed that he would complete the surgery "repair the corners of my mouth" and I would NEVER come back!!! I was so frightened and intimidated that I signed under duress. Of course the surgery was a botched up job. I saw him one more time before I flew home. I told him my lip was wider and I see the incision way beyond my lip. Of course "to get rid of me" he said...."oh I can repair that, don't worry" just to get me out of there. I have seen other plastic surgeons now in hope of removing the scares and reducing the wideness of my mouth to what it was before Dr. Kasden touched me. Today is day four following my lip lift. My top lip is still swollen and a little bruised, but I am so excited! For years I have been unhappy with the way my top lip looked. There was too much skin between the bottom of my nose and the top of my upper lip...my lip was just too long. In addition to aging and gravity pulling my lip down, I also had a thin upper lip that from the side looked like a turtle lip. Dr. Kasden worked his magic and I now have a beautiful, proportionate upper lip. I never wanted to have Goldie Hawn lips, (First Wives Club) and after having filler in my upper lip many years ago, I saw that filling in a too-long, thin, lip only exacerbates the problem.
