They are kind, respectful, knowledgeable, intelligent, smart, personable, and accommodating to each customer. I have never seen a pharmacist go above and beyond for his patients like the pharmacist at Sunnyvale Pharmacy. Twice, I have tried to have a script filled at the Tom Thumb pharmacy by my house, and even though I have been getting the same prescription every month for years, they'll tell me that they have to order it and it'll be a week before it comes in. None of the other pharmacies close to me have it in stock, but when I contacted Sunnyvale Pharmacy, they had it in stock both times!

I still go to Walmart for vaccinations, they do that well though the wait is pretty long. CVS in Sunnyvale is the worst for everything. The communication and accuracy there is not good. The friendly pharmacist at Sunnyvale Pharmacy answers my questions, finds the best price for my prescription with my two insurances and fills my order promptly. I like the independent business atmosphere where I actually get to speak to the pharmacist instead of a succession of rotating staff with a lot of customers bustling around. If the hours go back to 24 hours, they regain that 5th star! The staff here, for the most part, are friendly and helpful, and you can guarantee that if you find someone who is not, they will be the next time you see them, or they'll no longer be working there. I was mostly impressed on my last visit. I was trying to get my daughter's much needed Glaucoma drops refilled and the Pharmacist asked which one. Now, I was not very shocked by this, but was in her explanation as to why. It was NOT because her dose had recently changed to a higher dose, but because it had been reduced for about 6 weeks and then increased again. WOW!!! That explained a lot! She was having pressure spikes, and this Pharmacist just figured out what the doctors had not been able to in 2 months time! We shop here quite a bit for inexpensive gifts. When they have a sale, it is huge! They also have the ExtraCare card program that gives you $$ back quarterly. Yes, this is a corporate plan, but with the in store only sales and other discounts with the ExtraCare card (plus it is literally behind my house), this location saves us money, and we know they really care. After having my wallet stolen from the Walmart Supercenter location on Hwy 80, on Christmas Eve no less, I will be more selective about the Walmart locations I shop at. They are not all the same. Some locations are more protective of their older customers.
