Driving from the Buffalo Creek/Chandler's Landing area, I walked in 7 minutes to close because my child had to provide snack for his class that he told me about last minute. I had just made it home from a long day at the office, If not I would've waited until the next day to avoid putting myself at risk going out alone that late at night! As I walked in I heard a female yell saying, "uh huh get out!!!" I assumed the four-six females were talking loudly amongst each other about something that happened as young kids do when gossiping. Then I heard it again and even louder and heard the pigtailed female yell at the greeter as to why the hell he let me pass and he needed to be turning people away?! So I turned around because I knew it was directed to me at that point and if looks could kill I would've been carried out on a stretcher from a homicide!!! The main doors opened when I walked up to the door, they were not locked before closing hours! I did have 7 minutes and only needed 5 out of the 7 to run in and out! I've never had a store reject customers in open operating hours of business ever!!! Money is money and companies need money to stay in business. I guess a paycheck or raise isn't important to the pig tailed girl. Wasting 1 minute on seeing who she was talking about; one of the girls told her she has 6 minutes until close and to calm down and she was just popping off but I didn't have time to entertain her foul language 3 year old temper tantrum and risk get kicked out. I just needed the quick snacks and I was in and out! I arrived at the self check out line by 10:59 and was held up by other people checking out. I assume she didn't think I spoke English or something and just kept death starring me the whole time I was waiting. The female that told her to calm down pointed me to the register becoming available so I could finally check out. (she was nice and understanding she deserves lead or manager position and a raise!) Then after rude girls tantrum, as I was scanning my items with the gun to avoid using bags (still trying to make it easy for her job) and she comes up to my cart to assist me to move my box of chips when I can clearly do it myself only having 4 items and when I scanned it without her assistance she laughed in my face trying to trigger me. She just does not know I am trained to not feed into childish tantrums and to stoop to that level and catch a case. I come from a military background and spend my WELL EARNED INCOME for my children & your employees to remain employed! Just to be disrespected in that manner is unacceptable!!!!! I will keep my income at the places I've been shopping at and I will definitely let my Rockwallian friends know my experience and not to use this location to avoid having the same experience regardless of their appearance of ethnicity. I'm sure my wealthy buddies, Charlie & Lala Villanueva, La Mesa, Shaq & Ash and Clarence Jorif or Chris Nash wouldn't have had that experience if they walked in at that time or if they were with me. I guess we'll just keep our business at Kroger & Costco on the 75032 side and most definitely the Highland Park area from here on out. It so Sad that I have to drive out of my way to get great service elsewhere period. The pig tailed girl needs to be reprimanded for treating high dollar spenders in that manner. Especially the military individuals that serve this country and that fights for the people when Rockwall is the most respected Military Supporting county in Texas!!! She belongs at the Broadway location, Mesquite or South Dallas locations where she would fit in perfectly and maybe would be challenged there for treating people that way. Was shopping at the Rockwall Walmart this morning and had an experience I wanted you to know about. Please forward to the manager or anyone in charge, please. I was in the grocery department and had an coughing episode that progressed since it wouldn't stop to where I was having trouble breathing between the coughing spell. I knew I needed something and made a Walmart cleaner aware I needed something to drink. She rapidly ran to where the carts are stored and grabbed a bottle of water for me. It was such a relief to calm the cough with the water. I never caught her name, but it happened this morning around 11:30. She had cleaning utensils in her cart. Last Monday, I bought six delicious apples at the Walmart Superstore on I-30 in Rockwall, Texas. Though mushy, only one of the apples was barely fit to eat. The other five had been previously frozen, as evidenced by the photo. These apples should have been returned to the vendor and should never have been placed out for sale. I usually order online and pick up my groceries from this location. I appreciate the variety of their items and most of the time, their in stock. I also appreciate the dates and times to pick up that are offered. If they are out of stock on a certain brand name, they will offer you a different one. For me, it's an up-grade. Normally, when I drive there for pick up, I only wait 3-5 minutes before the person is placing them in my car. The staff is pleasant also. The items are usually correct and fresh. For me, it's better than walking in the store and standing in line or scanning the items in self-checkout. read more

We moved to Rockwall in 2019, and have done my weekly shopping for everything except higher quality meat/produce at this store. They have the best prices and have everything that we need. I don't mind the WalMart "stigma." HOWEVER, now it is very hard to check out. Even in the morning on weekdays, there is a long wait to check out because there are reduced cashiers (and I mean either 1 or 0 cashiers) because they want you to go through the self checkout lines. I'm cool with that if I'm there for a quick pickup of batteries or tennis balls, but I'm coming out with $250+ of stuff every week, and a lot of times I'm adding on bags of dirt and have alcohol. I've adapted now...and just get most everything I need at Costco, Amazon and Tom Thumb...only going to Walmart for the quick needs that those places do not have. Until they get their cashiers some more help, I'm doing my shopping this way. read more

Today I'm giving Walmart 1 star for the absolute horrible way I was treated by their pharmacist - "Jamal". If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. I had just come from the vet with my little 5-pound doggie and had to bring her into the store to get her prescription filled. Because it was too far to drive home and too hot to leave her in the car, I brought her in and had her in a little carrying bag. It's 10:00 a.m. in the morning and I'm waiting very patiently in the drop-off line while the three people working behind the counter were all busy waiting on customers who were picking up. I wait...and I wait some more (patiently). I even leaned into the window so I could make sure someone saw me waiting. After 10 minutes of patiently waiting and customers dispersing, I walked around the carousel display and politely asked if anyone was working drop off windows. At this point the pharmacist on duty ("Jamal"), said he would be right with me. Fine - I go back to waiting at the window where I customarily wait when dropping off perscriptions because it's the one that is always manned. "Jamal" walks over and makes it a point to tell me that he'll wait on me at the other window (OK, fine). I hand him the prescription and he studies it and looks puzzled and mutters that "he'll have to call on this one" and begins to walk off only to return right away and point out that the prescription is missing my dogs date of birth. Ohhhhh-kaaayyyyy... He hands me the script and I write it on there thinking that's all he needed. Then he started nit-picking and said that my complete address needed to be written on the prescription not just my street address (Hey, I didn't write the perscription, my vet's office did). So I complied and wrote down the city, state and zip. Can you fill my prescription now??? Then he said that it was missing "the breed, the owner's name and whether the dog was male or female". Good god, are you freakin' kidding me???? I explained we had just come from the vet's office and asked if he could call them. He said, "No". I asked if they could fax in a revised prescription and again he said, "No". I asked if I could write my name, breed and sex of my dog on there and again he said, "No". This guy had an arrogance about him and wasn't going to fill my prescription and was letting it be known that he was LARGE and IN CHARGE. . I ended up taking my perscription to Walgreen's and they didn't even bat an eye when I dropped off the script. The only question she asked was "what time do you want to pick up your prescription?" So much for it being a "state law" saying that all that info. had to be written on the prescription! This guy had no reason to act like such a jerk, especially when I had been patient and compliant. I don't know if he woke up in a bad mood that morning and didn't want to be at work on a Saturday, or if he didn't like that I brought my little dog into the store, or if he didn't like that I asked if anyone was working the drop off window, or maybe he had problem with the color of my skin? He just had a bad attitude all the way around. Even the customer service rep. that I spoke with at their headquarters agreed that this dude was just being an ass. (She couldn't have been any nicer!). I guess we'll just have to wait and see what the State Board of Pharmacy has to say about it when I file my complaint. read more

The mobile center is horrible- I got here at 8am( opening hours) they had two vacant cars in front of me and took 1 hour on each car. I have currently been here for about 2 and a half hours. He finished the car 15 min ago and still has not approached to service my car. They work with no sense of urgency. If you want to have fast service or even decent service i highly recommend you go elsewhere. Walmart please hire men who WANT to work here. Because this is ridiculous. read more

He ended up deciding to purchase a few things & needed some assistance with a few items, not only did Mrs. Michelle Thornton go out of her way to help his shopping go so much smoother. She was also so humble and did her job so professionally. It's sad at times because we don't see that as often anymore. Well it's SPRING at Walmart! They can evidently pay someone to sit at the back gate to watch the parking lot for theft, but cant open the cash register in lawn and garden to check anyone out. This is my second year to deal with this! Come on Walmart, you have the best looking plants in town, but no one to help you cash out unless you trek to the front of the store. Its hard enough to park at the garden center as is, and once parked, finished with my plant selections, it burns my biscuits not to leave at the same exit i entered. My first and LAST time to order online at Walmart. I was doing it to help someone who is disabled and needed groceries. Beware. They tried to add almost $30.00 in charges and tips (not tax) to the order. That is $30 that could have paid for more food for someone in need. SHAME ON WALMART. Grocery prices have skyrocketed and they pile additional fees on the bill. $18.99 delivery fee, $10.00 Tip, $12.00 "Weigh" fee, whatever that means. When we changed it to store pick up, Walmart still charged the Weigh Fee. Ridiculous. All of those are the costs of doing business that Walmart can afford to absorb much more than their customers. Then AFTER the bill was paid, I got a notice from my PayPal that Walmart added an additional almost $4.00 charge to my account, without any explanation. Wake up Walmart. Today June 6, 2024 at 4:43 p.m. my daughter and I were at the self checkout when I witnessed one of the employees continuously stopping only certain people to check their receipt. This is not the first time that I witnessed or have crossed paths with this man on this particular subject. I have let it go and have not said anything in the past but today was just completely unacceptable. I have yet to get this man's name but he is around 5'4 or 5'5 and I am not certain of his ethnicity but he is always one of the employees, at the door, on the grocery side of the store. As I was checking out there was an African American woman with a cart full of 2 litter sodas(not in bags) and a few bags of other items. He stopped her and requested to see her receipt she told him that she told her checker that she didn't need it. He then told her that he couldn't let her leave without checking it and suggested she go back to the checker and get it. She smiled and nicely turned around to go get it. Behind her was and Asian male that had a cart full of bags and on the top area of his cart were 2 live plants and what seemed to be a box of grilling tools or utensils that was too big for a bag but the associate only signaled with his hand telling him to go on. Next an associate( African American male very tall) shows up clearly assisting 3 women who had carts and a BBQ grill. This associate stopped (the other associate) and asked for the receipt holding up a line of customers trying to exit. The associate told him that the ladies already paid and he was only helping them to put it in their vehicle. The associate moved to side so that they could get it taken care of and while they were doing this a couple that seemed that they may have been the same ethnicity as himself walked up with a cart of 2 camping folding chairs and a portable grill and the associate only nodded and did not request a receipt. YES, they walked right on out. One night my husband and I went in to purchase a car battery it was close to 15-20 minutes before closing and there was hardly anyone in there and at the self checkout my husband and I were the ONLY 2 at the register. This same associate stood there and watched us as we scanned the battery and a socket set. His eyes were pinned on us. Even though he saw us scan and pay for the only 2 items we came in for he STILL made us show him our receipt. And yes we are African American. We have gotten to the point that when he is working the door that we watch him to see how he treats customers and this act that I witnessed today was not the first but it was too far. He needs to be reprimanded and/or dismissed from having contact with customers, if not delt with accordingly we will seek other measures because this is blatantly showing discrimination towards one ethnic group. No one wants to be made to feel like a criminal because they are different, and we have spent our money just like everyone else. read more

My daughter took her 2014 Kia Sedona on February 22, 2023, to the Auto Center in the Walmart Super Center #3325, 2501 Lakeview Pkwy, Rowlett, TX 75088 for an oil change on February 22, 2023. Prior to the oil change her van worked fine. Oil did not leak from the vehicle. I know this because she came to our house before and after the oil change. Oil didn't leak on the driveway, on the street, or anywhere else. A few weeks after the Walmart oil change the van began to make noise when accelerating and in March, 2023, the engine began to make very loud knocking noises. My daughter called her mobile mechanic and on April 3, 2023, the mobile mechanic examined the van and determined that there was NO OIL in the van and said the oil receptacle was "bone dry." She took the van to Parkway Car Care shortly after for analysis. Parkway Car Care determined that the engine was ruined as a result of having NO OIL in the engine. My daughter was told that the correction was to have the engine rebuilt or replaced at a cost of over $10,000. In other words, the van was totaled. Both mechanics provided reports after their examination and found there was no oil in the van. The mobile mechanic indicated there were "no signs of an oil leak." Walmart could not have properly refilled the oil receptacle after draining oil from the van and the engine was ruined as a result. What's fun is that my husband took our car to the auto center in the Rockwall Walmart a few years back for an oil change and the oil light came on AS HE WAS DRIVING HOME! He stopped the car at the house (very close thank God) and checked the oil. There was no oil in the vehicle so he put in some and took it back to Walmart. Told the guys there they didn't put any oil in after the oil change. Apparently they weren't surprised and said "sorry" and put in the oil. Anyway, my daughter contacted the manager of the Auto Center and explained the situation. He told her to have her lawyer contact his lawyer. So my daughter contacted Walmart's customer service department and was transferred to file a claim, and a claim was opened. After the claim was opened no one from Walmart would take or return her calls and messages. As a result my daughter notified Walmart of the damage by sending a letter to Walmart's counsel. Guess what? No response. Unfortunately, Walmart has failed to step up to the plate and my daughter has had no vehicle since March. She's lost her job as a contractor and she's had to rely on others to take and pick up her kids from school. I guess next step is a lawsuit. It seems like Walmart doesn't care about its customers. FAIL. FAIL. FAIL. I cannot remember the last time I went to a more disgusting Wal Mart. This review is partly in conjunction with my review of Hometown Threads. We were getting some handkerchiefs monogrammed for my friends birthday and we needed to purchase them with a quickness to get them to Hometown before they closed. As we should have had them prior to the time we were getting them, we were in an EXTREME hurry. To save time, I call Wal Mart on the way and ask them to bring the hankies up to customer service so I can just walk in. I get there and go to customer service and ask where my handkerchiefs are. The fella behind the counter says: 'Oh! We just put those away, we didnt know what they were for!' (I had made aforementioned phone call roughly 6 minutes prior to this statement.) I let him know I am in a ridiculous hurry which is why I called ahead and I needed them ASAP. So he calls Thelma, Louise or some other goon to ask them to please bring them back up. Seven minutes passes and I ask if she was going to a Wal Mart in Cambodia to pick them up because I know this Wal Mart isnt nearly big enough for this to be taking so long. He informs me she should be here shortly and does not tell me where I could find said hankies on my own. Note: During this time I am standing in the customer service area which handles returns and am just amazed at the items that are being returned. One lady is returning a mangled headset of some kind, one of those cleaner cds you put in your 1999 boom box and a bottle of Infusion shampoo? Another lady is returning a pair of filthy sneakers. The last lady I see has brought her grandchildren in to return a paper pad and 2 boxes of Crayola markers that I KNOW Wal Mart sells for $.25 at school time. So strange... Another few minutes goes by and as I am walking off to get these damn hankies myself, nice little fella comes strolling in with them and checks me out right away. Much appreciated. I do, however, strongly recommend going to this Wal Mart if it can absolutely be avoided. read more

The service at Walmart is in steady decline in Rockwall. There are not enough checkers. Service is poor, and the shelves are constantly empty. If they are going to have a garden shop, the checkout needs to be open so you can order pay and load. As I understand it from one of the managers, in June, I was told that it would be self checkout. There is an art to checkout, and those that have done it a while are proficient. Eliminating this will lead to longer checkouts. I suspect people will get tired of waiting and just leave their baskets. The lack of service will lead to disgruntled customers like me, and a loss of business for Walmart. read more

But when checking out, there was only 1 register open for people with 20 or more items. Which was very frustrating. It's flipping Walmart people. This Walmart has generally nice, friendly peeps working here (at least in the sections I frequent). The ammunition is incredibly inexpensive and the folks that work in the department are very friendly easy to work with. Exercise your 2nd amendment here (not sure about purchasing arms as I think they can drag it out) and stay stocked with ammo and other sundries. Camping equipment / toy section etc... all are easy peasy folks to deal with. read more

If you are going to make an app to use for check out and etc than teach your employees how to use it!! The app is wonder and mostly hands free except when you ask if I want to donate money or to say credit card only but when I take stuff back your employees do not know how to use the app for returns. Yesterday Christian helped me in CS and wow can you say rude and unhappy! My wife saw a mixer she wanted. I drove to the store only to find an empty spot where the mixer should be. I asked several employees if they could help me out. Apparently nobody works in that area. I went over to electronics to see if they could get me some help. It took five minutes for someone to come to electronics. I got them to page for help and I went back and waited another ten minutes before I left. I know Walmart is the big dog in town, but you don't need to act like it. Bad enough we're expected to check our selves out and bag out groceries, but now this. What's next? You just going to back a semi up to the loading dock and the customers can go in and root around to find what we want. Walmart was founded because of the lack of good customer service. Now we're expected to run a cash register, bag the groceries AND deal with no help on the floor. Pitiful guys, sad and pitiful. read more

TERRIBLE AUTO CARE DEPT & EMPLOYEES!!! The auto care center should DROP the "care" part feom their dept description. left vehicle @ 1 pm for an oil change and a to have a plug put in a tire. We were told it would take a couple of hours, left and returned in 4 hours and was told they havent started. Told them we would try a different day so asked for keys and was told they were lost or that a worker had taken them home but they werent sure which. They eventually found the keys and said they couldnt fix the nail in the tread. Was located where a plug or patch could repair it. They are inept, liars and unfortunately a pack of hacks. If proof is needed call that department and make your own call, the person who answers is a dope or just woke up or on something OR ALL 3!! Make your own call. NEVER LET THEM TOUCH YOUR CAR!!!! Tried to return this moldy cheese that is less than a week old that has been in my refrigerator the whole time could not find the receipt because who except food to go bad in a week. The refused to return it for the 1.74 I hope it was worth it I will not be shopping at that store. This place does not stand behind their product. With low prices, come low expectations. Today WalMart fell far below expectations. One of the cashiers was obviously sick because she could barely talk and she had a cough. I didn't think much of the her cold reception, but when I realized she was sick, I walked over to the spot where managers congregate (the express lane where they sell tobacco) and asked, are you a Manager? She replied; I'm a Supervisor. I asked her if she realized the cashier is sick? She is coughing on groceries and handling everything I'm taking home. Her response...."I'm sorry". That's it, she couldn't think of anything else to say.........after saying I'm sorry, a second time, she added a grin. OMG......did I just talk to the smartest person in the store? I understand people go to work because they need the money, but if you have a sick employee who is exposing germs and bacteria to the general public, it is the stores obligation to protect customers. read more

Do You Lack Customer Service? Have No Work Ethic? Do You Find Yourself Moving Slower Than Others and Feeling Confused Most Of The Time? Are You Having Difficulty Finding a Steady Job? Good News! Wal*Mart Will Hire You! Yep, at the Rockwall Supercenter, customer service is the last thing that many of the employees care about. I thought since they had remodeled, the store would improve. But you still find yourself waiting in extremely long lines, unfriendly employees, understocked shelves and a dirty store. I had to go to the pharmacy last week and waited in line 52 minutes. Every time I go, the pharmacy line is long. Just today, I stood in line in the "Speedy Checkout" (20 items or less) for 13 minutes. I was amazed at how speedy it was especially considering there were only 2 people in front of me. The person standing ahead of me turned to me and said " So much for a speedy checkout!" I agreed. If you don't know where something is, than that's just too bad. Good luck finding an employee to help you find it. And if you are fortunate enough to find an employee, you should hope they know more than the person trying to help me. Okay sorry. That was more of a rant than a review. I could go on and on. To sum it up, this store is dirty, with unorganized, rude and un-knowledgeable employees, long lines and poor service. read more
