They have a fairly decent selection of items considering they are a small store but the items are as good a value as another location. The store was clean, organized, and well stocked for the holidays. Easy in-and-out experience and no issues finding what we needed. Rockwall Target is by far the worst Target on the planet!!! I stopped going into the store years ago because of the dirtiness and employees but continued to do "drive up." Well now that is over! Today, with gas being over 4 dollars and my lunch getting cold, I had to return part of my pickup. They gave me a box of Cesar dog food (which was ordered) but instead of it being packed in properly, the dividers were missing and random flavors were added and it was missing over 10 packs. When I returned it and explained, not even an "I'm sorry." "Can we get you a new box?" They did nothing with a frown. What a crappy store. I am now just going to go drive up at Walmart. They are so much better!! read more

I went to this target today with my children and picked out Mattel Disney cars for their birthdays and they all werent ringing up but they were $3.99. The associate came up to us and snatched the cars from my 2 and 3 year old leaving them bawling their eyes out in the store. The "trainer" came up and was just as disrespectful as the associate who took the cars from my children. We buy these cars all the time and they never ring up properly and they always have to hand put them in but instead of doing that the workers took them from my child's hands and walked away to go talk crap to another associate. My children are not traumatized by the lady who snatched things from them and told them to their face that they're not allowed to have the toys. How freaking rude and disrespectful this staff is at the Rockwall target. read more

Wonderful experience in Target today about 3:00. Went in for a special type of pretzel. There was an employee in the chip aisle I questioned her about it. She took me over to the other side of the store and we looked there. She also asked on her walkie-talkie if anyone had seen them. We referred to the target online that stated they were available. She then went into the back to find out if they were in a pallet. A warehouse worker came out and scanned the empty shelf and told us they had 49 but it was on one of the thousands of pallets they had. I will go back to get it. The initial lady (I am so sorry I did not get her name) was so kind and spent so much time with me. I have never had service like that at any Target. She was a STAR!!! I am not sure how to say this without being rude but this is the dirtiest most unorganized Target I have been to. The men's clothes department is an absolute disaster, there are clothes on the floor and the shirts on the shelves are not folded but just stuffed on the shelves. I was there on Friday and noticed a Starbucks cup and a food wrappers on a shelf in the men's clothing. When I went back that next Tuesday not only was the cup and trash still there but there was more trash added to it. read more

Shame on Rockwall/Target!! I was stunned in Target today! I was looking for a nail file and noticed a colorful display at chest level of not nail files but adult sex toys! IN THE NAIL SECTION!! The lines in this store are incredibly long. out of all twelve checkout counters there are only two working. Ive had friends leave their carts, do online pickup and get their stuff faster. Absolutely ridiculous! The quality of the store is also terrible. Every time it rains, there are trash cans everywhere catching leaks. Terribly ron store. I drive 45 minutes to McKinney Target in order to avoid the lines and chaos of this one! read more

This target store is terrible and I mean terrible. It is dirty and just a flat up mess. Shame shame... The last time I came to this target was over 5 years ago. As soon as I walked in I can tell how bad it's gonna be. There is about 3 or 4 shelving that are all lined up as u walk in. Within all those shelves I would say there wasn't but maybe 1/8 of product that should have been there. The clothing sept was horrendous. There were hangers all over the floor and I mean everywhere. Clothes were shoved under what clothes were hanging. It actually looked like a tornado had gone through this dept. Would give zero stars if I could!!! My disabled friend and I were shopping and minding our own business. She has trouble walking so she sat in the cart while we shopped. THEN, a tall young man with curly dark brown hair approached us aggressively and yelled at her to get out of the cart. We were scared so we pulled off into an empty isle so she could safely exit the cart, like I said she has problems with her coordination so it was a difficult task for her. But, he followed us and kept berating us to get her out of the cart. We honestly felt targeted and threatened. We were so frightened that we immediately fled the store. I have been a Target regular forever and this Target does not represent the brand well AT ALL. Corporate needs to step in. The clothing department reminds me of Ross. There are racks and racks of random clothes altogether making it impossible to easily shop for products and sizes. Please fix it Corporate. read more

Standing in very long line on a Saturday at 1:30 in the afternoon with 2 registers open. Lines backed up past cosmetics area. Dirty, poorly stocked, poorly managed. I have been shopping at this Target for over 4 years & it has been going so downhill for the last year or so. I was in the women's dressing rooms today & it smelled so offensively dirty, dare I say.... Nasty. I took my time shopping & had a large cart full food, clothing items & decorative decor. Upon trying to checkout, the line was about 20 people deep or more, wrapping beyond the Greeting card section. Only self service checkouts were being utilized w just one employee present. I went to the customer service area, waited in line, & w a smile on my face I explained how long the checkout lines were, asked of the manager was aware & could something be done. The person snarkily told me that yes, they were aware. Nothing else. I began to return to the long checkout line to wait for an estimated 20 min or more to then do a self checkout on my large basket. Unacceptable! I have never done this before but I chose to abandon my full cart in the Juniors clothing section & leave. I apologize to the employee who had to unload my cart & put all of the items back, but I suggest you take it up w management. Good Luck read more

Target provides you a way to not go to Walmart. Thats a value in and of itself! This location is not the coveted SUPER TARGET, so no 5 stars from me, but it is a nice target for those of us on the South Side of I-30 in Rockwall. Its not 24 hours, and its selection is limited, and it's prices are a bit higher... but did I mention that it's not walmart? Seriously, what more reason do you need? Hugh perk for me is the nice concession stand at the entrance. Looking around and shopping is so much better with a icee and a pretzel, dont you agree? Why dont you just go ahead and do that! They have some stuff here that you WONT find at walmart, (archer farms, etc) and generally just a little bit "better quality" feel. I actually prefer this place to Walmart anyday. This target sold us a faulty switch that does not function and is now saying they're not taking returns until April 16th. The woman delivering this message was incredibly rude. The extremely unwarranted, rude attitude was not acceptable. We were not notified of this policy upon purchase and it's extremely frustrating to have this faulty product we can't return. I was speaking with the customer service rep (male) when this woman, across the store, started yelling into our conversation from the front door. She was being absolutely horrible. Target needs to rethink this policy and whoever was working your front door at 8:00 on April 9th and looks about mid 70's female..... have a talk with her. Why does the smell of popcorn automatically come to mind when I think of Target? I guess it's because that's the first thing I notice whenever I walk into the one in Rockwall. I mostly do my shopping at Walmart because they have a more extensive grocery selection but I've been plesantly surprised the few times I've had to stop in and pick up groceries. I will say this... I purchased 3 of their advertised items for the express purpose of getting a $10 gift card that they had advertised in the laundry isle, and once I checked out, no gift card receipt was issued. Not only that, but on this particular trip I purchased a bottle of wine and their registers automatically prompt you to show ID. I'm sorry, but I have a problem whipping out my ID when I'm clearly old enough to be the cashier's mother - which is what I told her. I mean, use some common sense and press the override key or enter a false birthdate. Do I look like I could pass for a student at your high school? No. Do I look like I could pass for one of your teachers at your school? Yes, so please don't inconvenience me by making me have to pull out my I.D. Target employees! read more

2016 Yelp 100 Challenge Review #23 I was really disappointed when I stopped into this Target on a Saturday night. I encountered a good three Target team members on the floor and they all seemed like I was bothering them. No one was friendly. I asked for help in both the bedding department and in the beauty department. Less than bare minimum support. I like Target stores in general although their price points can be a little high depending on the item although I know they carry a better quality product than say a Walmart. I will possibly be back since there are certain items that are only carried at Target stores. The only thing is not all Target stores are uniform. An item I wanted was not carried at this store which can be frustrating. Check out was probably the best service experience. I hope management works on improving overall customer service regardless of the time of day or department. There were also a lot of baskets in the parking lot. I have been a long time customer of this target. In fact you can see that I posted a wonderful review for this target 2 years ago. For the past 6 years they have been great. Yes, 5-6 years ago they were better than the recent years but today I literally walked out leaving $200 worth of items because of their NEW manager IVY'S AWFUL customer service. She was snarky and rude and I will NEVER shop at that location again and I will not recommend anyone to go there. Head to the Rowlett location as they have proven to have better customer service within the past few months. read more

My second license Starbucks visit in 5min. The Kroger one had water issues and closed. I rushed into this one and the staff no showed and no one knew what to do. I left starbucks 8months ago. I was a store manager for 11 years. I told the girl that shouted to me from across the store that they where closed due to no shows. I said may I please walk you through making me a cup of black coffee so I can open my restaurant. She said no I don't know how and Starbucks isn't a big deal for us. Wow. This is one of the reasons why I left. Not everyone cares about delivering the experience for their customers. You never know who you'll inspire and who you will let down. It all starts with one cup of coffee. This is the 3rd time I have walked out of this location. The other two times have been because the manager is too busy trying to communicate during a line and leaving his guest waiting. He does not put the customer first. Someone should show him his guiding principles. However if sherry is his DM that could be why. This location has so much potential. Starbucks is all about making the next dollar, I think someone needs to step in. I will never spend a dime in this location. read more

At one time I loved target. Now it's just another Wal-Mart. Cashiers with smiles are now replaced with self checkout that leave a constant line backed up. Never any associates available on floor and numerous pricing errors are alway to their advantage. Money has become more important than a happy customer I'm ashamed to say. read more

i love this store for a variety of reasons... it really makes me happy to be able to get lipgloss and a book all at the same place, and then go around the corner and get halloween candy and perhaps a new bath towel. this store is always exceptionally clean and lately the little red shirted target folks wander around an are very polite and social and overly concerned if we are finding what we are there after. thanks! also, they just got a slew of new buggies and the wheels arent caked with slurpee and gunk, amazing how that makes the silly little things roll the right way. me and the hub went in for specific things and before i got to get off the leash and peruse things i wanted real bad but didnt get i got all of said items first! go me!!!! we went to the fur people area so i could get bye bye bones and low and behold, because my babies are so smart, i found new treats and each one has a guinness book of world records fact stamped on it! rock on, bout time someone gives them the respect they deserve and will serve reading material with a treat...sheesh. all in all was a pleasant and uneventful trip and we got out with no incident. niiiiicccceee read more
