A C+ from Better Business Bureau, 3.5 stars Google. I agree with 1 star ratings- everything…read morementioned happeded. A friend + I were browsing. She's looking for a LR set but this style just doesn't match her home. We entered the store, the salesman followed us- asking if we need help. We told him we are just browsing. He moved on to a couple by more expensive furniture(probably gets paid commission), but he came back to bother us. I saw the styles/prices, this wasn't a place for us. I told her I will eventually get a specific table(1 on clearance) but don't have room now-the salesperson was close enough to hear me. She asked him about LR sets- similar to wants but pricey. Salesperson would take % off, add some wine club, + reduce delivery charge(anyting to make the sale). I lost interest, wasn't going to buy, wandered the rest of the store. The table I was going to purchase(eventually) was marked down over half price- salesman had to push that issue, the old "better purchase it now, it's the last one at that price" routine. When the salesman starts telling me I have to purchase now- "clearance item will not last or may be gone tomorrow"- I'm leaving without buying. It's the oldest trick in the book + I always find something after I leave those pressured sales. My friend fell for the sales "BS"- my birthday was a couple weeks previously and she wanted to get me something so she agreed to buy the table on clearance- although I had already told both of them I had to make room for it in my home. I don't like the cluttered, cram packed with furniture look. When I found out about it, I was not happy- but she said the salesman told her there were no returns on clearance items. I felt at this time I was being forced to take something I didn't want or have room for in my home. So a few days later we went back to Ricks, told them I did not have room in my home for the table. Salesman said he would cancel my table and put that deposit on her living room set she ordered(could take 4-6 weeks for delivery- I bet it will be faster, it seems like once they get the deposit/sale, they will say or do anything to keep it). Also, there is no written documentation for the living room set explaining type of material used or warranty information- they can tell us someting today and be something different next year. We were told they use microfiber, there is a 1 year coverage on the microfiber material and 5 year coverage on the mechanical frame of living room set. Meanwhile the past few days I measured her living room- discovered the set she ordered is really too big to fit/be crowded. She has done this before- another furniture company delivered a couch- it would not fit thru the front door and they couldn't or wouldn't take it apart. On our second trip to Ricks-to cancel my table-, I mentioned to the salesman- the ordered living room set is probably too big, and our previous issues with the front door. The salesman stated the couch and loveseat will fit thru the door. His words-"The couch will fit thru the door if you(me) can fit thru the door"- meaning I am a big person. There were 2 new customers in the store browsing- and they were larger in size than me so not only did I got offended, I could tell by the way they acted- they were offended also. They walked out without a purchase. My friend and I both think this whole experience was pressured- even some other reviews mention the saleperson telling them to "buy it"- what ever "it" was. Especially when they got me involved- salesman pushing to buy the clearance item- "when it sales, it's the last one at that price". I have enough money to purchase it, but not the room- I felt forced to take something I didn't want/need. My friend purchased furniture which will make her living room too crowded and honestly, she's afraid to cancel the sale with how pushy the salesman was. I probably can't do it because it's in her name. I work with many senior/disabled people and I believe you should have enough room to use a walker or wheelchair in your home- just in case you need to.

Bad experience! We…read morepurchased a mattress and brackets to be delivered a week before our headboard arrived from the furniture store. I called day before delivery of mattress and brackets to make sure the brackets were being delivered and installed on adjustable base and they assured me they would. Delivery day: no brackets! It took about a month to get them! Meanwhile our headboard was just up against our wall causing damage because Sleep Experts didn't hold up their end and deliver the brackets on time. When the brackets finally came in they declined to come attach the brackets to the adjustable base like they should have in the first place. My husband had a hard time attaching them to the adjustable base they sold us and the kit did not complete with all the screws necessary. You would think if you spend a few thousand customer service would be better but that is not the case here! We would not recommend!

Found them after looking for sectionals on Facebook market. Figured I would try a smaller owned…read morebusiness, boy do I regret that. They let me know they buy all of their furniture from the Ashley furniture wholesaler so u thought great it'll be pretty good quality. We picked out a sectional we liked and they said they'd give us a deal if we wanted to get dressers from them too. We wanted black dressers and found some in the magazine they had that we liked. Paid $1650 after tax and delivery fees for a sectional and 2 dressers. I left happy to support a small business and looking forward to my new furniture which u chose to get delivered 3 days later. Upon delivery they dropped off all the furniture in the boxes and wrapped up in the living room and just left. The couch pieces were sitting up on end leaving me to take it out of all the packaging and set it up. Okay no biggie. Couch comes out good other then it missing the hardware to put the legs on. Dressers, not so great. They were the complete wrong size from what was in the magazine. Over a foot shorter in height in the one dresser and a foot shorter in length on the other. I call them up and let them know there just be something wrong and they ask me to bring both dressers back to the store before 5pm so they can call the supplier. I live 35 min from the store and both dressers don't fit in one car. So 4 days later in a Saturday when I can get there on time we drive two cars 35 min to bring back these dressers. After we paid $50 for delivery in order to avoid this. We get to the store and they offer us a comparable in size dresser set for an additional $100. I stated I will not be paying more considering I had to move the furniture back here myself and because we had paid for dressers of that size to begin with. After numerous disagreements and constantly getting talked over by the employee Sam. They agreed to waive the $100 but said it would be 7-10 days until delivery but they'd call us Monday to let us know a specific date. Monday comes and no call. I call Thursday and they claim it'll be ready early the following week. I call Monday the following week and they said about her 3-5 days. I call three days later and they say tomorrow morning (Thursday). I call Thursday afternoon and they say it won't be until that night. Finally I get a call from the movers and they end up being an hour later then they told me on the phone. This time I specifically ask then to unwrap everything so we can make sure it is correct. Upon unwrapping we find the leg is chipped, the drawers on the one dresser are work around the edges with the pain coming off and the other dresser the top drawer is crooked and the bottom won't close without lifting up the one above it. The movers did the best they could to make adjustments but overall couldn't fix much. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

This establishment accepted a down payment of $100 from me on 6-7-2020. They did not have them item…read morein stock at the time but said that they would have it in stock by October, so I accepted their receipt #900354 as documentation of our transaction. Today is November 7, 2020, 7 days past the promised date of item in stock and delivery, I returned to the store in order to dissolve the layaway agreement and get my deposit refunded to me. The store owner (who refused to give his name), has refused to give me my $100 deposit back (even if he witheld a restocking fee) for his inconvenience. He says that it was my responsibility to call to see if the item ever made it in and since I didn't and since it is now 90 days past the end of the layaway then all promises are null and void. So, "good bye, have a good day". This has been a lesson for me and I urge you to please enter into business transactions with this business very carefully and be certain to get everything in writing for your own protection, business ethics at this location are non-existant Garland PD was called out by the store owner and the event number was 2020E133272.
