Hazel and olive is such an odd business. Everything is overpriced and reminds me of the Utah girl clothing that is ugly and unnecessary as well as a waste of fabric. The models are overly tan for some reason and the clothes are oddly shaped, designed, and colored. The workers are rude and I would not recommend buying from this store. read more

This was the most amazing experience!! Misty at hazel and olive went above and beyond. We ordered a medium in the d-lish dress because the small was "out of stock" the quality of the dress was amazing! But, was a tad too big. I contacted the company and they kept me in the loop of when they were getting a new shipment in. They were so kind and rushed the size small to me so my daughter could have it for her homecoming. They exceeded my expectations with customer service! The dress was high-quality and no one had my daughter's dress at homecoming! I cannot praise this company enough! Horrible sizing and customer service! Their website clearly states returns accepted within 30 days..... but just scroll down and it says 7 days within ordering!! What kind of horrible customer service and policy is that??? I also had to call to start the return... which surprise surprise they are not open on WEEKENDS. Had they been I would have been in their ridiculous 7 day window. But I had to wait 3 days until a Monday, called and was told I could only receive store credit! Why would I want store credit when alllll of your items are weirdly sized and made? No consistency even though I ordered all of the items in the same size. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!! This business is borderline unethical. I misread the return policy thinking it said returns within 7 days of delivery qualify for refund. Nope. It is 7 days from your PURCHASE DATE!! We didn't even receive the order for 6 days and it arrived at 5:53pm. The next day was July 4th! They are refusing to refund me only giving me store credit despite me postmarking the items 3 business days after I received them. Close to $300!! The dresses don't fit my daughter and the sizing is inconsistent (some mediums fit large and others fit small). On top of that you only have 1 year to use the credit. I would take your money to another store that has a more consumer friendly return option that caters to the busy lifestyles of today. These stores are a dime a dozen but most do not treat you like this. The owner will say most boutiques have the same return policy but that is not true. Most will work with you if you are unhappy. Moral of the story, TAKE THE TIME TO READ RETURN POLICIES CAREFULLY. read more

I wish I would have read reviews before trusting this website. Ordered a dress and the quality was SO cheap, I was so disappointed. I started my return within 7 days of the return window but because I dropped it off at USPS 2 days later they would not refund me meanwhile it was delayed getting to me and that was ok! Now I am stuck with a store credit for cheaply made clothing and I don't trust this company at all to ever order again. Do yourself a favor and don't bother ordering- go to a reputable store with good reviews and SAVE YOUR MONEY! I promise what you order WILL NOT look/feel like what is shown online. read more

Practices bad business. Their photos are so deceiving; their sizes and colors are inconsistent. Good luck everyone returning your product. Twice now I've paid to return a product for store credit. And now I'm about to do the same thing, because for the 3rd time in a row (three different products) the product I received is not as advertised. Be it color or size, you won't get what you pay for. You will lose money each time you purchase something due to their rigid return policy and lack of customer service. 10$ fee for a return label...whole lot of profit in there when your customers have no choice but to do this multiple times over per product. read more

Ordered items and 5 days later they arrived. I had 2 days to post mark it for a return if it didnt' fit or they would only accept store credit. Keep in mind the 2nd day after it arrived was a Sunday so it was impossible to send in mail. I had 1 whole day to return items that arrived. Does this sound reasonable to any rational person? Quality is ok nothing special at all. It is just not worth the hassle of being stressed to return it in 1-2 days of receiving, assuming it arrives on time. Their excuses for why they have a 7 day return policy from the date you purchase are just not acceptable...."As a small business we are only able to offer what our policy states. I made a purchase from hazel an olive. Before I made the purchase I pulled up the return policy to look at that before I made the purchase. The very first section of their return policy says "WHAT QUALIFIES TO BE RETURNED? ITEMS THAT ARE NOT MARKED AS FINAL SALE ITEMS THAT ARE RETURNED WITHIN 30 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE" It is misleading because this makes it seem like that is all you need to know so I made the purchase. It took 5 days (delivered on a Saturday) for my item to be delivered and the outfit did NOT fit how the size chart recommended. I went to make the return on the following Wednesday. Come to find out, I cannot make the return for a refund because if you read further down in their policy you have to return the item within 7 days of PURCHASE to get a refund. This means I had ONE day to make a return as the item was delivered on a Saturday. Their return policy is incredibly unrealistic. I would not recommend ordering from this company. The quality does not match the price - similar quality to a similar item I ordered on Amazon. read more

I ordered a dress for my wedding shower which did not fit, so I paid the return fee expecting the money to be put back on my card. The lady told me it had to be returned within 7 DAYS of the day I purchased it. That also includes the time it takes them to ship it to you. They only gave me store credit. Hazel and Olive has saved my since of style and my wallet! I live in Atlanta, GA and happened upon this online boutique simply by searching Google and have purchased over 20 items since. The quality of their products is superior and the affordability of their products by far surpasses the many boutiques I have patronized. You MUST be careful with online boutiques because a lot of them are fraudulent. The quality and style of the material rarely matches the picture or the price of the products are so astronomical that you cannot afford to be a frequent shopper. Not the case at Hazel and Olive. I am a former boutique owner and I must say that this boutique owner GETS IT! She understands that marking up products isn't the way to making a boutique successful. She finds unique pieces/styles and sales them at a price that will keep you coming back for more. In the Spring/Summer months I purchased over 10 maxi dresses and get adorned with compliments about how beautiful they look and how they fit me very well. Now that Fall has come upon us, I have purchased 6 sweaters and they are quickly becoming my Fall faves. BUT the reason I've decided to write this review is because I recently purchased the "Outdoor Odyssey Camo Utility Jacket", at a boutique in Atlanta, and I was livid when I realized it was extremely overpriced. It was almost 3 times the price than the Hazel and Olive purchase price. On top of the expensive price, this particular boutique didn't have an exchange or refund policy. I felt taken advantage of. These are deal breakers for me. As a consumer, value and affordability go a long way but more importantly if I'm spending my money I want to be treated like I'm valued. Well, at Hazel and Olive I am that and more! I have only returned a couple items (because they didn't look right on my body type) but when I did I had the option to return for an exchange or full refund. This is the most appalling company I have ever dealt with on line. I was a long time dedicated customer. I have bought hundreds of dollars worth of clothing from this company over the past few years. Mind you, I have slowed down because their style has gone from fashionable to plain boring to "moo moo". Needless to say I purchased a dress that my mom asked me to buy for Mother's Day. I thought it was incredibly overpriced for its cheap material at a whopping $54 but I purchased it anyway because she asked for it. I had turned her on to this company a few years ago. They promised shipping next day. It came late, days after Mother's Day, so I was not able to give it to my mother for the holiday. I was not able to see her for another two weeks and when I gave it to her it was too big on her. She did not try it on immediately, I had to wait for her to bring it home and try it on and bring it back but it clearly had never been worn, had all the tags and original packaging and was ready to be shipped back. It was this company's fault for sending it late to begin with. Their 15 day return policy is absurd anyway and this was a gift. It was clearly never worn. I returned it and never got a refund. When I followed up I was told no refund or even credit because "they no longer sell this sweater". Well first off, it's not a sweater, it's a dress, second, that's bad business, third I will post this review on every business website I know and destroy your company because you don't know my life. I had to save up money for that dress for my mom. I have stage four breast cancer, a special needs child, and bills up the yin yang. Thanks a lot Hazel & Olive. I'm sure you needed that $54 way more than I did. And btw, I still had to get my mother something else for Mother's Day because your damn dress that I never got a refund on didn't come in on time.
