I am never shopping here again. I ordered something on Black Friday, then I got a notification it…read morewas picked up. I was nowhere near the area, so I contacted Academy. They said they would have to investigate it, and they would follow up in a few days. This seemed reasonable, so I waited. A couple weeks passed and I hadn't heard anything, so I disputed the charge through my bank. Today (January 10, 2025), the store contacted me saying they have footage of "me" picking up the merchandise, so they wouldn't be issuing any refunds. How can someone say for certain that I picked something up, and they don't even know what I look like? There's no request from my app, or my phone number, to pick up the item. I have Google Maps confirming that I was over 20 miles away on Black Friday. And yet, the store has "confirmed" that I have picked up my item from camera footage. What a joke.

After 15 minutes of doing nothing but looking confused he finally got some help. Next day Brooks put these same shoes on sale. Called store to see if price adjustment was possible and was told yes. Take shoes back with receipt I was given by clueless employee and was told it was wrong receipt and needed the Academy credit card used for original purchase even though the credit card wasn't used for purchase because it was left at home so they used phone number to look it up. On exchange I also didn't have credit card but was able to exchange without a problem, other than clueless guy not having any idea what he was doing, but now all of a sudden they need actual credit card???? Way more complicated than need be for a simple price adjustment. Have card in hand now so will be returning the shoes for refund instead of price adjustment and giving them back their credit card because we won't be ever shopping there ever again.

My little sister likes Jellycats and I wanted to surprise her so I looked online for stores nearby…read morethat sell them in-person I ended up driving about 45 minutes to buy them in person here. Come to find out after she opened them that she had others she'd rather get and no one else in our house really cares for them so I went to return them but I double-checked their website to make sure they accept returns since it was a local store and I didn't want to waste a trip. The website says they do so I drove another 45 minutes to take them back. Get in the store...and they definitely accept returns... for store credit or exchange "only". So no cash returns. The cashier motioned to some out of the way picture on the side wall that states you can only return for store credit. Some advice to offer: It would be a better idea to put it where customers can actually see it like most stores with alternate return policies do (like on the checkout counter or mentioning it during checkout/making the policy clear that there are no cash returns) so they can make the decision for themselves if they'd still like to shop. Had I known I at least would have double-checked with my sister beforehand or wouldn't have shopped there at all. I don't have any family that young and I don't collect Jellycats so I have no use for the stuffed animals or the store credit. I just wasted $70 and gas...on a situation that could have been avoided with better transparancy. If I wanted to donate $70 I'd have given it to a cause that actually needed it this season. Do better.

The manager says no I can't do that you need your receipt have to return them I said I'm not looking to return them I want them I just have two left shoes and There is a box with two right shoes. Even her associates was explaining to her in Spanish all I was trying to do and she kept shaking her head and she page for the lady that runs the department. Nobody came up in the so-called manager told me that I would need my receipt before I could exchange or return them. The sad part is I bought it on my credit card, and I wasn't looking to return them, but she wasn't willing to help at all, even when I associate let her know that's all I was trying to do. Definitely not a customer friendly manager, and should maybe reconsider the position that she's in. Because she's not meant to deal with customers or help them when all they're wanting to do is have the correct shoes that was bought.

Corporate really needs to take a look at this store. I witnessed some of the most horrendous…read morecustomer service I have ever encountered at a store. Your employees were screaming and cursing at a woman and her teenage daughter because the Mom questioned why one register was running, with a store full of people standing around. The cashier had all her stuff rang up, around $300 worth of clothes, and canceled the order, and made them leave. When I saw how they treated her, I put my stuff back and left too. This happened on 12/13/2024 around 4pm. Firewheel Mall, Garland, Texas. Please pull the cameras and see for yourself. I will never step foot back in that store until Corporate cleans house. I guess your goal is to run people off and not sell clothes? You lost several customers today, for life. Everyone in the store was appalled. The staff were all yelling about how long they had to work, and that they were not getting paid enough. Very low class American Eagle. When the woman asked to make a complaint, they told her that complaining wouldn't matter, that they had the right to "run people off" I honestly cannot believe what I witnessed today. I will post this on every forum that I can find.

Sure, you pay $150 for a pair but they are the only brand that fits my body perfectly and the length of their jeans are perfect for my legs... that is until now! When looking for jeans, they have to be that perfect material, I honestly cannot explain how it feels, but when you know, you just know. It can't feel "cheap". I went into American Eagle and found a dark pair that was perfect in length and material. The sales representative there; Thom was so helpful and friendly. He was so informative and even gave me a useful tip to download their app to my smartphone to get 25% off on top of the $10 discount if you bough a pair of jeans. Brilliant! The pair of jeans only cost me a measly $22 instead of $40 - absolute bargain and they feel and look good on me, not to sound OTT about it. I am really picky when it comes to jeans so it really is a big deal for me when I do find the "perfect pair". Thank you so much Thom for your help, you were amazing, friendly, your customer service skills are up to par and I will definitely come back and seek for your help next time.
