Awesome little gem across from La Palau de la Musica. Such a great value! We tried the 11 euro special of 3 tapas, a drink (either wine, beer or sangria) and a coffee. There was so much food, we ate maybe half and were stuffed! I tried the mushroom and carrot risotto, the fried potatoes and this goat cheese & mozzarella empanada. Carb-a-licious. Stopped by here as a party of 3 on a Tuesday night with no reservation, and waited only 15 min for a table. Service was very friendly and prompt. The red sangria was delicious and fruity, very refreshing on a warm summer night - better to order a pitcher instead of a glass. All our tapas were delicious and a pleasant to share among the three of us: olives, provolone cheese w/sun dried tomatoes and chimichuri, tuna tataki, chicken skewers, sirloin w/mushroom sauce, rustic pizza, and of course the patatas bravas. It's across the street from a landmark (Casa Batlló) so the good reviews are due to it being in a super touristy spot. Everything about this place is so great! We loved it so much that we ate here twice. I'm not sure how we found this place, I think we consulted Yelp and the reviews were great. Anywho, we wanted to divulge in some tapas and come to a spot off the beaten path that wasn't a tourist trap. My friend and I were seated right away. We had a cute little table next to the door. The servers are friendly and many speak English. They bring you a basket that has your silverware, napkins and also includes some moist towelettes. We ordered a pitcher of cava sangria. Which was very refreshing and delicious. We watched the bartender make it right behind the bar. Because we were super hungry, we ordered an abundance of tapas. We shared the garlic prawns, spring rolls, empanadas, provolone cheese with chimichurri and the mini lasagna. I also ordered the filet. And the second time we came, I ordered the salmon with bok choy. I dont even know where to begin with the food. Everything was so delicious. My favorite was the empanada. It was a baked empanada and it was packed full of creamy goat cheese and mozzarella. The carmelized onions gave the empanadas a nice balanced sweetness and the walnuts added a welcomed crunch. We loved these so much that we got them again when we came back later that week. I also liked the salmon with bok choy. The glaze on the salmon was perfect. My other favorite dish was the mini lasagna. I couldn't tell there was no meat on this lasagna. It was soooooooo good and I loved the pumpkin in it and also the walnuts gave a nice crunch. The Patatas Bravas are probably the best tapas here, though the empanadas are also tasty as hell. The vegetarian chili is average at best. Can't speak for the meat tapas my friends ate, but the tapas overall are solid. We came here on an evening after going through Park Guell and the Sagrada Familia. The service wasn't too good -- our waiter ignored us a few times before coming back and we waited quite a while for our food. I would recommend this place as a solid restaurant, but wouldn't come back here because I think there's better places to try. read more

This is a great place for vegetarians, and for the meat lovers, they also had a great selection of options. I selected the menu of the day, which allowed me to select 3 tapas from a list of 10 to 12 options. Bread, beverage, and dessert or coffee were also included in the 12.50€ price. We ate here our second night in Barcelona. There was a small wait, but we got in no problem. They had a great bread with Brie and tomato jam. We also enjoyed a goat cheese salad and Danish meatballs. After many tapas style restaurants in Barcelona, I've come across this wonderful place! You really must come here to try at least once while you're in town. The food here is very flavorful but my personal favorite was the potatoes wedges with curry onion mayonnaise and the onion sprawns with parsley (very reasonable price compared to other places that are doubled in price). I also had the fried baby squid (not my favorite but still good), Rustic pizza and the mixed platter that was delicious! Stopped by before a flamenco show at the Palau de Música Catalana and was very pleasantly surprised. The place was packed but we managed to snag two seats at the bar and that was perfectly fine. We ordered the danish meatballs, hummus, strip sirloin, patatas bravas, empanadas, and bread with tomato. The highlights were the patatas bravas and the strip sirloin. I ordered red sangria and my friend ordered the white sangria. Both were very strong but delicious. Service was a little slow but that's to be expected in Europe, especially when it's busy. Also, even though it was extremely busy it was not loud and didn't inhibit conversation. My sister and I came to this restaurant on the last night of our holiday in Barcelona. When we arrived we were greeted very politely and seated in no time in a very comfortable space. It was an absolute pitty we just found out about it now because the food was AMAZING and very very well priced. My cousin and I stumbled upon this place on a busy Saturday night in search of food. By stumbled, I mean I yelped good restaurants within our proximity. It was by far some of the best tapas I had while in Barcelona. I had the montadito with smoked salmon and Philadelphia cheese. It was alright, and they charge you for each slice of bread. On our final night in Barcelona, my wife and I found this gem across from the Barcelona Opera House in the Gothic Quarters. The food was plentiful and the flavors out of this world. We ordered the sampler platter of meats, cheeses and bread along with the vegetable empanadas and sirloin steak. Except the steak wasn't sirloin - it was filet mignon which was tender enough to be cut with a fork! We finished off with cappuccino and a very healthy glass of Frangelico. The bill came to 44 Euros! World-class cuisine, atmosphere and hospitality for that price makes us hungry for more! When we go back to Barcelona next year Tosca's will be our first stop! read more

This always happens! We find our favorite place to eat on one of the last nights in town. It it does help us to stick to our rule about not revisiting the same restaurant twice in the same city we're in on vacation. There were so many things that looked delicious on the menus that we could hardly decide. The ambiance is great here too.
