Buffalo Wings Deli /Hamburgers is the name on the sign. I almost didn't find this Yelp page. What I ordered: Spicy cheeseburger and fry: rating 5 out of 10 for the burger. 2/10 for the fries. Would I come back? No. We went around noonish, and there was no wait time. One man, Asian, maybe the owner, took our order. The machine was down for swiping cards, so we just paid cash. $9 a meal average. His disposition wasn't very friendly, but he wasn't rude either. The burger is made with a pre-made patty. Disappointing. I already knew that seasoning would be lacking. The spicy sauce is good. All the fixings come on the burger. The fries are just the regular crinkle cut fries, nothing spectacular. The place wasn't the cleanest, either. For a quick bite, maybe, if you live close by, but it definitely isn't worth a trip back over there in my opinion :) read more

I like to give smaller businesses a chance but when you give less and charge more and don't provide any real customization to the meal. It makes the business bad. And to have only canned drinks doesn't help. Ordered and 8pc wing combo. They only allowed me to get one flavor for the wings. The side of fries as small. And got a small 12oz drink. I'm just saying. If I would've known prior I would've just went to Wingstop. I'll get more at a slightly cheaper price and I get better customization on my order like getting more than one flavor of wings. I went on Yelp looking for a wing place in Irving that wasn't Wingstop or some chain and I found Shady Grove Wings, so I thought I'd give them a try. The menu is priced well, you get good sized chicken wings for what you pay. I normally call in before and the order is typically ready when I get there. I would recommend the Hot and Sweet Tai Chili wings. The hot actually have some kick to them, so be weary if you don't like hot. I came here because it had good reviews but unfortunately my experience was not well. It's all basic frozen simple food. When we arrived the workers were not welcoming or friendly, I actually felt they got upset because we took our time deciding what to order. Price was ok, I won't complain about that. The place needs a bit more work and to fix their AC. One thing I did hate (and I hate in general) is when they get greedy and cheap with he fountain drinks. I use to love going here when I was in high school! Now I come back to irving just to eat these wings. They have big sized chicken wings you are sure to get full off of! Good price and comes with celery and carrots and ranch! ...unlike those higher price tier chain wing places that give the smallest wings AND you have to pay for celery and ranch. That's the beauty of a family owned place! Burgers are also huge and great for the price! Korean owners can sometimes appear to be unhappy but If I had to deal with high schoolers all day I'd be the same! Only complaint is that the business hours are a little floppy, they sometimes close earlier than stated if they are not getting enough customers that day. I went to this place two days ago. I burnt my mouth and two days later my ass is still burning. The wings were not well cooked, and the ranch came from a Sam's Club jar. My biggest disappointment as I was walking in was the counter clerk being pissed off while I was choosing from the menu, first warning sign but I'm kind of stupid as my wife will attest to. As two of my five alarms were going off nonetheless based on yelp reviews I still proceeded to order this place is no diamond in the rough my ass is rough two days later. Shit came frozen from the fridge to the fryer nothing special, when the food came out it burnt my mouth. Nonetheless the masochist I am I still proceeded to eat the food. We couldn't really understand the woman behind the counter but she must have put all her effort in cooking wings not English lessons. Don't underestimate her ability to make wings. I've driven past this place and finally tried it today. Got the wings with medium buffalo sauce and sweet. The buffalo sauce was really good but the sweet was just OK. I agree that they are jumbo wings and 8.69 for 10 wings is a decent price. Would have given 4 stars but the wings were very fatty and the ranch dressing tasted like Hellmans. It's not much to look at from the outside, but this little mom-&-pop shop puts out the best burger around. For $5.40 ($7 something for the meal) you get a huge burger with a higher quality-tasting beef, better than any fast-food place. (I put it on par with SmashBurger.) Don't expect a smile as the Asian owners act like they hate their lives but dayum that's a Great Burger! We got medium spice wings. SO good. The wings are meaty, and the sauce has something addicting in it! We will get our wings from Shady Grove wings from now on! They don't have any blue cheese dressing as a dip which made me sad, but the wings made up for it, and the price was less expensive then any other place in Irving. YUM! read more
