Lunch with the grandkids... really busy on a Sunday. The staff was great, filled up drinks and checked on us frequently. The buffet food was constantly being refilled and switched out for fresh hot food. They have a great variety here and lots of the more premium selections. Went for lunch because my coworker wanted Chinese buffet. Should have know better and should have followed my gut but against my better judgements I went. Got there and there wasnt alot of people yet. As a matter of fact it didn't get busy at all during lunch which should have been a red flag. Got seated and went to get my food. I did say I went during lunch RIGHT! Anyway picked my food and the only thing that was hot was the fried chicken wings everything and I mean everything was cool or room temp. First round was fried chicken wings, mystery meat skewers, and egg role and some dumplings. Only thing that tasted good was the fried chicken wings. Oh yea almost forgot the pork ribs! Worse ribs I've ever eaten dry, cold, and could chew them for a couple of hours! 2nd round got some pepper beef, some rice noodles and some garlic shrimp cold and nasty! Tried their deserts got what appeared to be a store bought cinnamon cake its was ok but dry, what i thought was cheese cake it wasnt it was some dry cake thing, and the apple pie that was actually good. Highlight of the lunch was the ice cream probably cause they didn't make it and it was blue bell smh smh All in all payed about 16ish dollars was not worth it walked out with a stomach ache and wanting to puke! I used to go here fairly often but more recently the food has been sub standard. I decided to take my family today, including my 11 year old daughter and they have a children's policy now based on height, not age so she was treated as an adult and adult charges. I like this place because there is food here that you cant get at other places. The egg foo yung is so good and there is gravy to pour over the top. The reason I only gave two stars because my server was stand by me and waiting for me give her tips. And I had same experience with one guy a few months ago. But I didn't leave bad review last time, because they didn't do this to customers, at least me before. I am in service industry and I always tip generously, because I know this is tough business. Came here based on the reviews but I don't think the person was looking at recent reviews. Arrived and the parking lot was full which usually a good sign, walked in and there is a hostess who seats you. We asked for a table and was crammed next to a wall which made it hard to get up and down from the table for 2 of the people at the table. Waitress came by and took drink orders and told us we could help ourselves. Now, I go into the bathroom and at this point I should of grabbed my purse and dipped because the bathroom was nasty. Two of the stalls was out of order, there was water on the floor, toilet tissue on the floor and I know most of this is from customers however as a business I need them to come check the bathroom. The other thing I didn't like was after you washed your hands they have a blower (yeah, eco friendly) but then you have to touch the door to get out the bathroom which defeats the purpose of washing your hands. Get to the buffet and the plates are located after the food begins. I think I got to the buffet at the wrong time (because timing is everything) as people were impatient and just walking in front of you like you haven't been standing in line waiting for items. I will say that there are lots of options but quantity doesn't always trump quality and some of the food lacked flavor, was dry, or had been picked over (all broccoli no beef). This was a basic buffet, they had an ok selection. One of my challenges was that, I am allergic to shellfish. There were a lot of things that I could not eat. Once you try you realize food is cold (unless your lucky and get the food as soon as it's done) flavorless and not very pleasing to try .... Servers look unhappy to be there cooks like getting your way as your placing food on your plate .. they don't even say excuse me ...... I honestly wasn't expecting to be impressed with this place, as most Chinese buffets I've tried have not been very good. Boy I was wrong! This place is great! Everything is fresh and everything has a flavor of its own. A few of my favorites that I recommend: Jalapeño chicken, honey chicken, cheese stuffed mushrooms, steamed broccoli, sautéed mushrooms. At first entry the place smelled clean and fresh. Came for lunch ($12.99 for the buffet). The presentation of the food was great as you look at the buffet. The food had plenty of options and it all looked fresh. My sweet tea ($2.50) was great. No taste of old tea. And sweet enough for my Mississippi taste buds. Service was good. I took it to the front to show them while it was still crawling on my plate and they said you can stay or leave but if you stay you'll pay full price.
