Good prices with lots of combinations. I ordered the C7 and got dumplings on the side. The drive-thru was clean. The ordering speaker was clear. Their servings are overflowing and usually last for 3 meals. C7 is chicken with garlic sauce, orange chicken, and hot pepper chicken with fried rice or noodles for $11.54. This was my first time at Great Wall Express but it was a pleasant surprise. Counter people were attentive and polite. They have the items offered in their combo plates precooked and held in a steam table. Everything look pretty fresh. I ordered Kung Pao Shrimp and Fried Rice. As an add on I also ordered an egg roll. The egg roll wrapper was not one of those phyllo type wrap but more like a wonton wrapper. I much prefer the wonton wrappers because they are not as greasy and don't fall apart when you eat them. It took about 10 minutes from the time I ordered until I was leaving with my food. When I got home, I weighed the Kung Pao Shrimp and the Fried Rice on my digital kitchen scale. 2.77 pounds. The rice was possibly 20% of the weight, so that was a lot of Kung Pao Shrimp. I spooned out about half the Kung Pao Shrimp and maybe two tablespoons of rice. I zapped it in the microwave for 90 seconds. It wasn't "hot" but it was warm enough to be edible. The sauce was spicy but not really Kung Pao sauce. The veggies, zucchini, carrots and celery were not over cooked but cooked enough that they weren't raw. The shrimp were medium size and cooked on the minimum cooking time. They were barely done but did not have that raw texture that I have experienced elsewhere. I didn't count the shrimp but there were enough that I didn't forget I was eating Kung Pao Shrimp. The peanuts were fresh and added to the top of the dish, keeping them from getting soggy. The egg roll was served off of the steam table. It was warm but not crispy. The filling was reasonable. The next time I eat here I will ask for a fresh egg roll. I did not get my jar of crispy crushed red pepper out for this meal. The leftovers were enough for another full meal. The next day it reheated pretty well. The veggies and shrimp maintained their texture really well. There was enough sauce to ensure it was flavorful. The inside of this restaurant is stark but seemed pretty clean. I didn't see anything that alarmed me regarding sanitation. I grew up in food service so I have a sharp eye for failures to serve food properly. This place looked and smelled good. I recommend if you want to try fast Chinese food to give Great Wall a try. Got dinner from here tonight and it was so good!! I ordered the combo plate with half rice, half lo mein, hot pepper chicken, orange chicken, and chicken and vegetables. The hot pepper chicken was sooooo good and so was the lo mein. And the portions are huge! I will definitely have leftovers for tomorrow. We are from San Antonio and have yet to find any good Chinese that equals what we are used to. This place is absolutely delicious!!!! The employees are friendly and quick to help. The dining area is updated and clean. If you prefer they even have a drive through definitely recommend giving them a try!!!!! Went here a couple of days ago for an early dinner. My mom had been here before and said the food was great. I tried a little bit of it and agreed, but wanted to try it for myself. As I walked in I was warmly welcomed by the staff and was told to come back again. Instead of ordering off of the menu I decided to try some of the entrees from the buffet. I checked everything over and all of the food looked fresh, so I proceeded to get the three entree special. The special came with rice or noodles, so I got the fried rice. For my entrees I went with the broccoli beef, chicken with vegetables, and medium spicy orange chicken. I love that the server took the time to explain the difference entrees and did not seem annoyed to do it at all. My total for my food was just a little over $8 and came with an egg roll as well. I got home and opened my phone and was pleasantly surprised by the size, freshness, and taste. Whenever I want some quick and fresh Chinese this will be my spot. read more

Not because of the good ole (MSG) monosodium glutamate but because I didn't even finish eating it all. I ordered the C9. 3 Entree Plate which consisted of Kung Pao Chicken, Hot Pepper Chicken, Broccoli Beef with egg roll and fried rice. I ordered it online thinking it had to be cooked to order but when I got there to pick it up, it had to be assembled in front of me anyway. Just like Panda Express. Food is already waiting in the hot pans. Hot Pepper Chicken was good but very few pieces, Kung Poa was decent. I should have skipped the chewy beef and soggy broccoli. Fried rice was almost paste. Eww. QT's egg rolls off the roller grill are better. Also if you pay by credit card they charge a fee. Wish they had that posted on their website or else I would have paid in cash. Food is always old and crusty. They recycle yesterday's left over on a buffet set up and then sell it off as fresh food in their combos. Big portions of usually cold and days old food. They refuse to cook fresh unless you specifically order a big plate of a specific item. Do not recommend at all. You're better off going anywhere else. read more

Horrible food. The building is new, nice, and clean for which they get one star. The people were just fine, very nice, courteous all of the above. But maaaaaaan the food is atrocious. I can go to Walmart and buy all this crap in the frozen isle and get better quality. Really, really, really bad Chinese food. Stale rice and breading, everything pretty much tastes the same. I know for a fact they water the Sriracha down the consistency is watery which is insane, if they are doing that what other things are they doing? I have literally never eaten worse Chinese in life. I don't see the place changing, may be much easier and more money in selling this crap to people who don't know any better.
