Unreliable...Unresponsive... Unprofessional... missed two appointments, never called, always an excuse. I've used this company twice before and have been happy with the results, but not recently. These guys were responsive to the initial inquiry, then were impossible to reach for scheduling. They never replied to emails. Finally we confirmed an 8/24 appointment, which they no showed. No call or apology or offer to reschedule. When I asked about rescheduling, they confirmed 8/26 at 7:30AM They no showed again. No call to let me know what happened. I called them 5 hours after the missed appointment and the lady said the crew had an accident on the way to my appointment. If that were true, why didn't anyone call me....why did it take 5 hours for them to learn about it?? Just incredibly unprofessional from start to finish

Removal of 20 year old Melaleuca

I've been using Torres Tree Service since 2013, always satisfied with the work they've done to maintain the trees in my yard. Recently, six of the larger trees got too big for the yard and Torres Tree Service removed them. His crew gets the job done expeditiously, and always cleans up afterwards. David does an excellent job communicating with me in advance of the work about job scope, scheduling, contract requirements and pricing. Excellent value for completion of a quality job.

We hired David and his team in July 2012 to remove three trees, each of them between 20-30 feet tall: 1. Podocarpus 2. Melaleuca (multi-trunk) 3. Melaleuca (single-trunk) The work included stump grinding of all three trees and removal. Many contractors can remove a tree. What sets them apart (like any contractor) is the attention to detail: - Is the remaining area clean and left well? - Is there any collateral damage? - If there are any final issues, will they resolve them? Their team did a good job in removing the trees and grinding the stumps, however, they did destroy a sprinkler line. When I asked them to fix it, they did, but more on that later... Removing three trees is no easy job, and it's even harder to do it and leave a clean worksite after completed. Here's where David and his team missed the mark. They dragged branches through my yard (along the sidewalk), brushed along the exterior home siding, along the driveway, and into the back of their truck. When I called David to ask him to remedy the situation he suggested I paint over the walls and buy a product called "Krud Kutter" from Home Depot or Lowes to clean the sidewalk and driveway. When I complained a bit more he reminded me that he repaired the sprinkler pipe... yes... the one he broke. I have had the opportunity to recommend Torres Tree Service to my neighbors but I have not done so because of my experience.

Would recommend, and would use again. Profession front end service. Owner was prompt, professional, reasonable with pricing and dates. Staff who came to do the work seemed a little confused regarding service and requirements. Kept asking me what they were supposed to do after I had already talked it over with owner. Thought he would communicate it to them as I was to be out of state at the time of service. Good thing I was there. But did an adequate job in the end. City services came to mark water and gas and electrical lines before service. Left marks on sidewalk and neighbor's sidewalk. Still there 3 months later. Trim and shape front tree. Small stump removal.

This is the corner where a 30 foot queen palm and large broken stump were and now it's as if they weren't ever there!

You need trees out, call Torres Tree Service! I had 2 palm trees I wanted out and had received several bids that were between $800-1200. I contacted Torres Tree service and someone came right out to give a bid and by the next day I had a bid on my email and could not believe the price difference compared to the others , it was 1/3-1/2 less than every other bid. The customer service is excellent and I knew I was dealing with a well run company. They came today, were efficient, professional and did an INCREDIBLE job with the area, clean up. And they did it in a short amount of time! They made this so easy , I am so happy I found them on Yelp! Also a few of my bricks on planter were chipped with the falling trunks and they have a handyman who repairs if accidents occur. They take care of everything and I could not recommend them enough! Call them! You will be so happy you did! Thanks for making it so affordable, Torres Tree Service!!

I found Torres Tree Service on Yelp. After communicating so many companies for a quote, I was confident about them. They respond to my request for a quote immediately. It was reasonable and we scheduled an appointment that Saturday. Pedro and his crew did a fantastic job. They arrived on time and got down to business right away. They finished the project timely. No damages in the surrounding area. I am very pleased with the result and will definitely recommend Torres Tree Service to my family,  friends, coworkers and neighbors.  Keep up with the professional work.  You guys are wonderful!  Don't ever change.

Anyone know if they are still in business? The 800- phone number is disconnected and the other on their site had a full VM. I emailed a request for service and have had no response.

I had them a month ago and my neighbor about 2 weeks ago. Try this # 888-740-1762 or 648-0770

I've updated my review to 5 stars. I literally posted this review this morning and when I came home…read morefrom work today, the stump (for the 4 star review) was gone! I'm so happy! I love the no fuss, no excuse attitude. Looks like Roman and his crew just came and took care of it. P.S. Roman also seems very knowledgeable about fruit tree trimmings. When he was here about the estimate, he gave some great advice about our orange trees. We'll probably contact him about that when the time is right. ---- Overall, we had a good experience with this company, and I think four stars is a fair reflection of the work, our overall experience, and the issue we had with them. We hired them to remove two VERY tall palm trees, as well as a large tree and some plants around the foundation of our home because we wanted to minimize watering close to the house. I received three quotes before deciding who to hire. Their price came in right in the middle (about $500 difference between the cheapest, and about $500 cheaper than the highest bid. I felt the value for the amount of work they did was very good since they basically discounted the random plants they took out. Roman was very knowledgeable from the beginning. When he came out to give us a quote, he looked at our yard, assessed whether their equipment would fit through the available space, and talked through how they could complete the job given the access limitations. That gave me a lot of confidence that he knew what he was doing. Roman was also very quick to respond. He was the first to respond and didn't pressure us to commit. He gave us the quote and told us to keep him updated as we did more research. The crew arrived around 7:00 a.m., got right to work, and I believe they were finished around 11:00 a.m. I was honestly impressed by how quickly they were able to take down two huge palm trees, remove the surrounding plants, grind everything down, clean up, and haul everything away. There was also a small extra touch that I really appreciated. After grinding the palms, they explained that the material could be useful around our other plants rather than simply hauling all of it away. We have two fruit trees, so they spread some of the ground palm material around our existing landscaping for us. They certainly didn't have to take the extra time to do that, and I thought it was very thoughtful. Good thing to know is that they are also able to fix broken pipes. They broke a sprinkler and fixed it right away on the spot. The next day we noticed another broken sprinkler and text Roman. He sent his crew out right away. He's really efficient and responsive which I appreciate. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because one tree in our front yard was supposed to be completely de-rooted and unfortunately wasn't. I text Roman know, and his crew did come back to address it, which I appreciated. However, when I later started working in that area because I wanted to plant something new, I discovered that a significant portion of the root/stump was still there. I reached out a couple more times but unfortunately didn't receive a response. That was disappointing, especially because part of the reason we hired the company was to have everything fully removed so we could start fresh with the landscaping. I think four stars is fair given the overall value of the work, while also taking into account that part of the job remains unresolved. Other customers may have rated the experience lower based on the unresolved root removal, especially since that was part of the work we agreed upon. However, I also want to be fair and give credit for the work that was done well, which was the majority of the job. Had the remaining root been fully removed, this would have been a five-star experience.

Excellent Tree Service!…read more I highly recommend Orange County Tree Service and Roman and his team! From start to finish, they were fantastic. The entire crew was on time, professional, respectful, and incredibly polite. They worked quickly and efficiently, and when they were finished, they did an amazing job cleaning everything up. They removed a ton of large trees all the way down to the root balls, which was a big job, and they handled it beautifully. What impressed me even more was that they took the time to save a small lemon tree and carefully replant it so it wouldn't die. That really showed me that they care about their work and their customers--not just getting the job done. As a local Orange County Realtor, I've worked with plenty of contractors and service companies over the years, and I can honestly say this team is excellent! If you need tree removal or tree service, I would absolutely recommend Roman and his crew. You won't be disappointed!

His price was very steep from the start and I was not completely sold. He mentioned his crew was nearby and could come by and scope out the tree I asked to remove due power lines running thru it. His whole crew and multiple trucks showed up as if they were going to start the job. I told the crew I'd call Tony once I feel ready to proceed. Tony calls aggressively stating I am wasting his and his crew's time while dropping the price to get me to agree to proceed right then in that moment. The final price was competitive but he was not willing to give me a day to decide due to being "too busy". He ends up dropping the price by half but at that point his unprofessionalism was enough to no longer proceed. The crew ended up doubling and took up the whole cul-de-sac with their trucks for hours afterwards and claimed they were on their lunch break. My wife works from home, her office window faces the street and she did not feel comfortable with Tony's guys sitting outside for hours sitting around the grass just staring into our property. Meanwhile Tony was calling and texting wasting MY time. Don't get ripped off, ALWAYS get multiple bids and don't fall for cheap salesman tactics.
