I understand the virtual queue but a message for management to use some common sense. We showed up and no one was waiting in line to order but were told we still needed to wait in the queue. Great flavors and great drinks but they need to work on their system. In response to the manager (1 star for logistics) - i think when there are multiple reviews giving constructive feedback on your system, Management should take it into consideration and not be defensive. This is my favorite tea shop because it's healthy and delicious!! I come here every chance I get. The jelly is such a good replacement for unhealthy tapioca bubbles. I highly recommend. This place is on my top 3 places to go to for milk tea. Taste and quality is superior. Service is always great and if you time it right, get on the waitlist and be there when you're almost next in line so you don't have to wait long. I've been here more times than I expected, which means this place is solid. If you grew up in the 626, you know the standards for boba are high here. Love how it's a bit different from most boba shops and that it has a big focus on tea! The jellies + mochis are also so good and I definitely prefer the mochi over regular boba as it doesn't harden. I don't typically like toppings in my drink (except for grass jelly or egg pudding), so these are definitely nice takes. Favorite is Misty oolong or koan im oolong milk tea. Barley tea and the other fruity teas are more simple and refreshing if that's what you're seeking. I personally don't like the dalgona cloud top because I'm not sure what the point of the dalgona cookie on top is. Overall, definitely a solid place to come back to. Let me start by saying I came here twice in one week before writing my review and all I can say is .. WOW. Definitely not a spot you can compare to your regular boba places because this is different and so so special. SO, SO DELICIOUS. The first time I came I had the popcorn milk tea, second time I had the osmanthus tea. Both were a 1000/10. The popcorn tea has a subtle buttery popcorn flavor & though it sounds intimidating it's forsure worth trying if you're a milk tea lover! Osmanthus was so refreshing; floral, lightly sweet, citrus-y. I absolutely adored that drink! And huge shout out to to the staff for being so sweet, welcoming and kind! I love the overall vibe, beautiful interior - although kind of small and hard to get seating inside both times I visited. One of the days I visited was on a weekend and the line was out the door but to my surprise it was only a 20~ minute wait. My girlfriend and I love this place. They have good quality tea and their mochi jelly is very unique. Service is great and the staff are helpful In answering any questions you may have. The only thing is that wait times can be extremely long but what can you expect from a place that is this good! The ambiance is nice and casual. All the drinks here are so refreshing and original. My favorite are the popcorn milk tea and calamansi oolong. Overall, great quality tea and great service! I've been to torotea since their soft opening and am in love with their drinks. They have been working on making the lines go faster with their yelp waitlist, so be prepared for a wait during peak hours. It seems like the online ordering is still being worked on, but I appreciate their efforts in accommodating the customers. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, so thank you to the staff for making each visit enjoyable! Now on to their drinks. Initially their "perfectly sweet" was just right, but it seems to have adjusted to be on the sweeter side. I would make them less sweet now, but the last 2 items on their torotea creations can't be adjusted. I've retried a few of their drinks and the consistency can be off sometimes. The first time I tried the Jasmine Oolong Ice Tea, less sweet, it was perfect because it had a strong tea flavor, but the next time I ordered it, it was watered down. The Dalgona Cloud Top Koan-Im Oolong Latte was pretty good the first time as well, but it has gotten too sweet for me, and this is one of the drinks that can't be adjusted. The Misty Oolong Milk Tea seemed popular, but I could barely taste the tea in mines and I haven't ordered it again. Osmanthus Citrus Refresher w/ Osmanthus Jelly was quite refreshing, but nothing super special and I'm not a fan of having pieces of osmanthus my drinks. My top 2 favorite drinks are: 1. They put you on a waitlist like a restaurant and then when you finally go in to order there's not that many people waiting, but the counter is filled with online order drinks. They prioritized making the online orders versus in store customers that are already there waiting. So each person in store was waiting 1 hour for their drink after ordering. Such a waste of time. To wait 1 whole hour for your drink when there's only 8 people in line ahead of me. Really bad system. Definitely waste of time. read more
