After reading lots of positive reviews for this place, we decided to give it a try. We went on a weekday nights and it was quite empty which was understandable. We were asked to sit wherever we liked so we chose a corner sofa seat. It was the IPAD system kind of AYCE. The service was excellent, especially that one server (young asian brown hair with glasses), he was super attentive. Always came by to check if the qualities were good, needed water/ tea, etc. He even recommended the tiramisu to us as he mentioned he made them that morning. The overall quality of the sashimi was very good and very fresh. Each pieces were very thick cut, unlike most AYCE where they wouldn't be that generous. Unfortunately the sweet shrimps only offered on the weekends so keep that in mind! The sushi was a little bit disappointing. The seaweed was soft, not crunchy as if it has been with the rice for a while. Another disappointing fact and very important- TOO MUCH SAUCE! The spicy sushi or the hot dishes that came with sauces, they put so much in each that by the time it's in your mouth, you were overwhelmed by sauces in your mouth rather than the flavour of what you were eating. The spicy sushi would have tasted so much better if they mixed the sauce with the diced fish first rather than dumping a bunch of sauce on top of them. Kudos to the plating. They made sure each plate was presentable despite the quality you ordered. If you see pretty things, you would want to eat more. The tiramisu was by far THE BEST one out of so many AYCE I have been. This was the closest to the real tiramisu it could get. The cream on top was not whipped cream and the lady finger piece at the bottom was actually soaked in coffee as it had a hint of that coffee aroma in your mouth. Price was definitely a little cheaper than most AYCE as weekdays only $25 and weekend $27... Now has 10% during grand opening period when paying cash!!!! Definitely would come back next time!

Ordered a sushi platter (56 pcs) through Uber eats. Yes, it was a lot of food for a minimal price but it was average at best. The rice was too wet and left many pieces of sushi soggy. Because it was wet, all the pieces were sticking together. It became a pretty difficult task just to pick up the food. The ingredients were also very marginal, in terms of quality and freshness. Overall, it was not a great experience for a 4.5 star restaurant on Yelp. When compared to other restaurants on Yonge, I would probably go elsewhere and can really only give this place 3 stars. I understand that this is a sushi buffet location but I've definitely tasted better sushi from a sushi buffet. I will not be returning because of how average my experience was. But if you are looking for a large amount of food for a fair price, this place is for you.

I've been looking for a sushi place in Aurora that would be both tasty and cheap and I'm glad I found Torii sushi. Always fresh, a lot of fish in rolls and not so much rice or veggies, great size sashimi. Absolutely love their bento boxes- they come with so many extras that one can easily feed 2. My favourite is spicy roll combo (spicy tuna, spicy salmon, spicy crab) -24 pieces of rolls for 14$. Always friendly, willing to do substitutes without charging extra, everything is always packed great. Love this place and can't wait for covid to be over so I can fully enjoy their all you can eat.

You get what your pay for! Tori is an all you can eat Japanese restaurant. My experience with AYCE is you get subpar sushi. That's exactly what we go from our Tori take out. When we saw the prices for take out, we thought, wow what a great value! At $8.99 for dragon rolls that would otherwise cost $14.99 at other restaurants, we certainly got value but not much in the way of quality. The fish wasn't the freshest but it was ok, the rolls all fell apart when pick up with chopstick and the texture of the rice was not the best. Overall, it did the job for the price but didn't satisfy the craving.

Torii Sushi is a new ayce place that you order through iPads. They are currently offering a grand opening discount - if you pay by cash, it's 10% off. The price is really good for Friday's and weekend dinner, it's 26.95. Their menu has a lot of speciality items such as torched sushi, tuna and beef tataki, scallop rolls and sushi, a wide variety of Thai items, and raw sweet shrimp (which you don't find in a lot of places). I especially enjoyed their spider rolls, scallop roll and the spicy tuna avocado roll. Their rolls aren't packed with rice so it's the perfect ratio (rice to fillings). The portions are really good as well so you have an opportunity to try a wide range of items on their menu. They have some 'cool' items on their dessert menu as well, such as the ice cream sushi - rice paper wrapped with ice cream. The service was exceptional, with the waiter always stopping by to check on us, and filling our tea cups. The sushi restaurant is a little hidden- it's located past yonge street on Wellington in a small plaza. I will def return for the great food!

Given the cheaper price, I think it's really good value. It's got 90% of the items that most fancy AYCE places have. The kitchen items are pretty good as well as sushi items. The sashimi items are pretty fresh. The overall feeling is that it's not as fancy but given its location and price, I would definitely return when I'm craving for sushi. They've got these special plates for kids and the kids love them. Speaking of kids, this place is very comfortable with a group as there is a lot of empty space because of the way the tables are laid out. The service is excellent, the server was extremely nice and asked for feedbacks so they could better improve. I've been to over 10 AYCE sushi places across GTA, most of them are pretty much the same with the exception of a few where you get some specialty items such as torched sushi. Most of them are so similar that it's so hard to review them. Overall this one is not bad considering the price.

I came here for lunch and enjoyed the food! The service was great and the fish was very very fresh. The only unfortunate thing is they did not have a good variety of appetizers. At other AYCE restos I have been to they always have short ribs so I was surprised not to see it on the menu. If you're looking to down as many sushi pieces as possible this is definitely a place you would like!

I order from here probably once a week on Uber eats. I'm weird and don't like seaweed but they always make mine without it and it's so good. Love this place! Definitely should eat here

Salmon sashimi in a bed of ice

This was a great place. The customer service was amazing and the waiters were very kind. The presentation of the food was also good. Everything was delicious. I really liked that the rolls were not only delicious, but they had a thin layer of rice, which is how they should be unlike other places that load it up with thick layers of rice that falls everywhere. I'm giving Torii sushi a 5 star based on the fact that it is an AYCE place. I tend to find that a lot of AYCE places have average quality food and crappy service. We were quite impressed with this place from the price, food taste + quality as well as the service. We will return again!

My family is super excited that there's finally a decent AYCE place up here in Aurora. As many of the other reviewers have mentioned, the menu here matches a lot of the more expensive AYCE places in Markham/Richmond Hill at a slightly lower price. I love that they have octopus sashimi and torched sushi on their menu. Their cooked food options are also incredible! They are a little understaffed sometimes, but the servers are very friendly and work really hard. They're constantly running around and making sure you're looked after.

It was Friday night and I have craving Japanese food as usual but I have made no reservation anywhere, so decided to head a little North to Aurora to test my luck. Arrived at the restaurant at 8pm, the restaurant is not full but still plenty customers. I was greeted by friendly staff quickly and seated. This is an all you can eat restaurant with people I see doing take out as well. The order is taken by ipad. Based on the price $27.99, I didn't really expect anything really fancy but was surprised there are still plenty of variety of sashimi, sushi, torched sushi, and rolls. I prefer these over their hot items as they are just normal to me. I have to mention the staffs are very friendly, I was really full but they high recommended I try the ice cream sushi roll which basically any ice cream of your choice and they roll it in rice paper. I got to say it is good but I got brain freeze! They are currently doing the grand opening special with 10% off with cash payment!

When they provided with a table it was right next to an exterior door, with people going in and out. The was a cold draft, we even had to tell the hostess/manager, if they could provide a divider to divert the draft from hitting our table. We ordered 9 dim sum dishes, one be Roasted Pig Mixed Cold Jellyfish, which was $23.80. I had the idea that it would be a fair portion. When it came, I was shocked, it was only 6 pieces of Roasted Pig. When I spoke with the manager about the portion size, he commented "for that price it is fair". There was not apologies and walked away, nor was it written on the menu. If I had known it was only 6 pieces (size of your index and middle finger put together). I would not have ordered it. If you want to have Roasted Pig, you can get better deals else where. Also, ordered Marinated Chicken Feet for $13.98, when it came to table, it was also a disappointment, part of the chicken feet was dark in colour, not even sure if it was even edible or not. Another dim sum dish that I have order was the steamed chicken with fish maw. The chicken was okay, but there was only two small pieces of fish maw, (the size of each piece was 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch). The order 6 dim sum dishes that was order was mediocre, tasted better from other Dim Sum restaurant. When I received the bill for the meal it came out to be $119.50, they even had included the tip. They didn't even give me an option weather a tip was even worthy. I will definitely not be returning to this place. I definitely do not recommend anyone to come to this restaurant. I would consider blacklisting this restaurant. It's simply deceiving customers.

The individual New Century slow boiled soup is hardest to share but secure some empty bowls and you can divide the hefty portion. In the winter, there's a silkiness to the piping hot consommé that sooths a dry throat and has an umami essence infused with abalone, ginseng, and pork. There's plenty to choose from in the house signature combo platter including roasted duck, soy sauce chicken, BBQ pork, pork slices, and seaweed salad. Saving my stomach for the later dishes, I had a taste of the duck (a good start with crispy skin) and BBQ pork (satisfactory and well flavoured). With the generous portion of chicken in the combo platter, the slow cooked chicken with abalone broth seemed like overkill. I've never been a huge fan of this dish that's served cold since I prefer chicken hot. Still, I understand it's the jelly layer between the skin and meat that people enjoy. And to be fair, the chicken was tender, and New Century certainly didn't skimp on the ginger and scallion oil. For those who tend to fill-up before the "main dishes", the stars of the combo arrive mid-meal. The stir-fried Vancouver crabs with silver fish in HK style spicy sauce needs to be eaten at arrival as the crunchy coating is best straight from the fryer. And despite not looking spicy, the dish has a light heat that permeates in the background. Additionally, the crab was fresh and meaty, cooked well so it remained delicately flakey. The amount of sweet and sticky sauce used in the stir-fried lobsters with scallion in Maggie sauce was well balanced, lightly covering the crustaceans. Both lobsters were substantial; even after eating many pieces, we still had plenty of leftovers. This is a long review head to Gastro World for the rest.

Instantly as we stepped in the restaurant we were blown away by the elegant decor and ambiance. You could have a classy dinner date, birthday celebration, or even wedding here if you wanted to! The space is built for all kinds of occasions and has many private rooms and spaces for the same. We, of course, sat on the main floor, with a couple other people eating at 4PM. The service was professional and fast, although I didn't feel too confident on the menu suggestions they gave me. We ended up ordering the Braised Beef Noodle Soup ($18), DongPo Pork ($27) and Xiaolongbao ($7) to share between two people. We did not need the dim sum dish - the other two items had sufficient portion to have us full. The star was definitely the DongPo Pork, which was perfectly braised and super tender. With rice, it was delicious. The noodle soup, while tasty, was a bit overhyped by the waiter who made it sound life changing - not at all mad at it, but I have definitely had better. In St. Catherines, I would assume that 'better' does not exist, so I understand. Overall, great visit. On the pricer side for Chinese food (around $80 all in for two people) but it certainly is upscale dining. I don't live anywhere close to St. Catherines so unlikely to be back, but I will recommend it to my friends if they visit the area.

We enjoyed several Hong Kong-style dim sum dishes, and everything was tasty. That said, for a place specializing in authentic dim sum, I'd be remiss not to mention the surprising omission of Ha Cheung Fun -- with its silky delicate texture and sweet soy sauce, it's one of the true classics. C'mon guys, it's part of the "Big Three" of dim sum -- Har Gow, Siu Mai, and Ha Cheung Fun! Service was excellent -- our server was wonderful, attentive, and very thorough throughout the meal. A helpful tip many people may not know: there's a large parking lot directly across from the entrance, making parking much easier than it first appears. Overall, a beautiful space with solid dim sum and excellent service -- still one of the better options in the Niagara region. Saluti.

The standard comes with 12 Peking wraps only but they give 16 wraps here. Plus they offer vinegar carrots & turnips on the side added to your peking wrap which makes it very refreshing. Normally this is not offered in other places. Bonus points and good job to chef's creativity on the careful thoughts. Ordered the RARE snake and chicken soup "Dragon Phoenix Soup". Snake soup is a traditional Cantonese delicacy popular in the winter to provide warmth and improve circulation. The soup comes with crispy crunches, lemon left and cilantro on the side to go with the soup. The soup was loaded with fillings of snake, chicken, fish maw, wood ear mushroom, mushroom, ginger and orange peel. Soup flavour was great and delicious. I haven't had snake soup in years ever since living in Toronto. What a nostalgic item! We pre-ordered the GIANT seabass tail and the fish fillet was fresh and bouncy. The fish is deep fried drizzled over umami sauce cooked in tofu, shitaki mushrooms, chinese bbq and veggies to bring depth to the sauce. A great dish to share with family and goes well with rice along with the sauce. Ended off the meal with free mango pudding desserts. It was smooth, creamy and had a strong mango flavour. Mom and I came for a quick breakfast and ordered five dishes, plus tea. After tip, the bill came to about $40, not bad at all for a filling morning meal. We kept it classic with the siu mai, which were juicy and the shrimps inside were big. The baby octopus with curry sauce was surprisingly flavourful with tender pieces with that nostalgic HK-style curry aroma. One of my favourites was the bean curd roll with duck feet; super soft bean curd skin soaking up all the sauce, and the duck feet were cooked until tender. You don't find this dish at a lot of restaurants. The shrimp rice rolls were fresh and silky, and the fried shrimp roll with chives had that satisfying crunch with a good hit of chive flavour. Service was quick, dim sum came out hot except the rice roll which was only room temperature, and for the price point, especially with the weekend early bird deal... it's a pretty solid option in Richmond Hill if you're craving a no-fuss dim sum breakfast. Would definitely come back again... if I can get myself out of bed early enough!
