I've only had the bento boxes here and haven't tried AYCE. We usually get chicken teriyaki or beef short ribs. It comes with soup, salad, and a scoop of ice cream. The portion is pretty generous, at $15 or $16. The service is quick, and we never wait long if we need something. Parking right outside the restaurant may be hard to come by during regular dining hours, so you'll likely have to look just a bit further in the parking lot for a spot to park. The plaza does get busy since many of the businesses are restaurants.

After 15yrs, still one of best Chinese Sushi buffets w grill bbq rice, noodles, desert tiny restaurant that is busy Every HOUR OF DAY! 11am to 9pm! Prob only sushi buffet better than them is Dragon Legend pirate themed giant wood chair resto- banquet hall style. But for price of $35+ tax + tip ALL U CAN EAT in north york, not bad value. And if they r busy, can go next door to congee Wong for best canton Chinese food if you don't want to wait in hour lineup?! And grocery store has biggest freshest seafood market in all toronto in plaza!

Very busy on Sunday night. Food is good for all you can eat. Both raw fish and cooked dish is doing good. As I can place my order in a tablet, server provides the food. First round is fast for sashimi. Cooked food takes a bit of time . No lost order. By the way, the only order need to place to the server is pop. It's a family restaurant and a lot of families are in this restaurant for Sunday night It's casual and good for small group to enjoy.

Sushi AYCE | LLBO | No small table reservations | In-person wait list machine| VIP card or cash discount| EV Parking nearby| Congee Queen sister company One of my top choices for AYCE sushi. Lots of weekend specials. Some things that stand out to me is the herring sashimi and grilled shrimp skewers on weekday basis. Weekends there are more varieties such as scallop sashimi and steamed vermicelli scallops. Good service, always busy, always expect a wait. High ceiling and clean environment.

The first sign this place would be good was how busy it was Saturday night. Me and my bf went a little early for dinner so luckily we managed to escape a lineup. Even though it was so full my boyfriend remarked it was well managed because we weren't waiting long for our food. How it works for all you can eat is you scan the QR code on the receipt and order on the website. It's very easy and convenient, just dont forget to hit the final send button. I got a whole variety, including quail, which is not normally found at sushi places. I'm not a fan of Yuzu though, so it dinged the review for me that a couple of dishes I wanted like torched salmon sashimi and beef tataki were absolutely drenched in it. Soda is included in the price, but I recommend skipping it for the food. Quality is definitely there, I loved the scallop and sweet shrimp. The dessert menu is quite large and I appreciate how they're served in small shot glasses so you can try everything. I ended up getting 9 desserts. Good to know: you get 10% off for paying in cash.

Came for dinner AYCE. It's average. Nothing really stood out. Chicken wings were very disappointing. I don't really know what they were doing with it like they snapped it in half and then skewered it? Maybe it makes it easier to eat or something I don't know. Sashimi didn't feel that fresh? I don't know how to explain it. Texture didn't look as nice. They had torched sushi, but it was mostly rice. Very thin layer of fish on top. Comes out to $41 per person after tax. Just go to ichiban ayce at north york centre you'll have a much better time.

This venue is usually an ayce joint. We ordered take out this time : sushi platter. The 80 pieces platter consistent of a variety of different sashimi, sushi and rolls. Quality is above average for ayce grade. The 80 piece set was ordered on Ubereats at 66$ before taxes and applicable fees. Sashimi included: mackerel, salmon, and tuna It was nice that this set included mackerels, as it's not a common item.

This is a very standard ayce place with an iPad ordering system. Compared to other places, there seem to be very limited items on the menu, and nothing was special or stood out. I do appreciate that they have scallop sashimi for dinner as I don't see this often, and it tasted quite fresh. My goal was to eat as much sashimi as possible and then eat other items that interest me. The salmon sashimi was quite fresh, and they were thick slices. However, other than the sashimi, everything was very mediocre, or it just didn't taste good. The takoyaki was probably one of the worst dishes I've tried at an ayce as parts of it were so chewy that I couldn't eat it at all. Even the shrimp tempura was pretty bland. Our iPad was also giving us such a hard time as it would lag with every click so it would take us a while to just submit an order. We also were missing items or received items that we didn't order. After experiencing this at other ayce, I just learned to let these go as it takes too long to look through all the items and clarify with the servers which ones came out and which ones didn't. Overall, I'd suggest to skip this place and look for another place for ayce.

I loved sushi a lot. Been here all the time. But this time I was disappointment. Yelp app have this deal offer "1 free glass of welcome mocktail." I show it to the staff and he said their restaurant is not associated with yelp and they don't give those offers. They don't know anything about it. So why did yelp give these deals and the restaurant won't acknowledge or knows about it? And while looking at their menu, I did not see any mocktail drinks?

Came here with some friends for the omakase special meal…read more Such a lovely overall standard omakase experience and meal. The highlight for me was probably the set of four starter appetizers, they were flavourful, delicately prepared and perfect way to start the meal. I liked the slightly pickled dish with cucumbers the best. We also had sushi prepared with fresh seafood. The rice was probably my favorite compared to other places I've been. It was perfectly seasoned rice, warm and cooked to have just the right texture, not overcooked and not undercooked. The rice held up well when picked up by hand and complemented the flavours of the fish. Finished the meal with a matcha flavored pudding flan type dessert which had deep matcha flavours. If you're a fan of matcha, you'd probably enjoy it too. All in all, the meal was enjoyable, the torched tuna sushi was probably my favorite sushi of the set and my least favorite was the egg/eel, I was expecting a sweet egg at the end so it unexpected.

The restaurant is super quiet and they offer great quality of food with great service, and the price is expensive if you choose to order sukiyaki set (expect $80+ per person). You can choose between sushi sets at different price level or sukiyaki from the menu. This suits the need of our group given some people prefer sushi but some couldn't eat raw food. They also offer a couple of limited appetizer dishes such as tempuras and unagi don. If you booked the sukiyaki table and want to order sushi, you need to call them in advance to notify which sushi sets you want. We tried the sashimi and sushi courses at $55, which included miso soup, 5 pieces of sashimi, 8 pieces of sushi (squid, toros, salmon, scallop etc.), handroll and matcha or black sesame icecream at your choice. The sushi is smaller than average, suitable for small eaters. The course is totally worth the money. I love every piece of sashimi and my favourite sushi include the scallop and the squid. Everything was super fresh. The dessert was also having the perfect sweetness level for me. In addition, we also tried the sukiyaki for two ($110), which includes mushrooms, cabbages, great quality of Angus beef, yummy tofu and udon. Again, all the material was with great quality and super fresh. I especially liked the sweet sukiyaki soup, the tofu and the udon. We also ordered some shareable dishes including chawanmushi, unagi don and cod. Cod was cooked to perfect (soft and flavourful), and unagi don had quite decent portion. It would be better if the unagi could be softer from my personal opinion. Chawanmushi was mediocre. Overall, I strongly recommend this restaurant to fan of Japanese cuisine. It meets different people's needs by offering both cooked and raw food options, and the sushi set definitely has great value for money.

The service is incredible here, and the vibe is cool-chic. Just loving the atmosphere here…read more As for the food, don't expect it to be a "traditional Izakaya" here, but that's not a bad thing. They do the "traditional" dishes with a twist / fusion. For example, the black cod is usually feel heavy with the miso based sauce, but they added some acidity to the sauce and they made the black cod taste rich and light (not to mention the black cod was perfectly cooked); traditionally the Brussels Sprouts would be finished by tossing balsamic vinegar over it. Sometimes that would still feel heavy. Instead, they tossed it with strawberry vinaigrette. So the acidity is very light and not too sweet. We finished our meal with the Yokai Signature Maki. Yes, they SHOULD be proud of this Maki enough to put their name on it. They hit it on the nail with the taste profile. I have a zero tolerance with spiciness, so they put the spicy mayo on the side, and I encouraged my wife to dip the Maki with it. She confirmed my suspicion that the spicy mayo took the maki to another level. We definitely will come to try other dishes. Edit: they comped us a slice of Matcha Cheesecake. While it is still not my cup of tea, but I was very impressed with how good it taste. My "dislike" is with cheesecakes because they feel heavy. Though it is still on the heavy side for me, but as soon as I spoon in a bit of the strawberry sauce, it just lightened up the whole thing. They have successfully amazed me with how well they play with taste.

We ordered this time the Yorokobi set for 2 and upgraded the sushi to brown rice for $5 extra and upgraded the green dragon roll that came with the meal to volcano salmon roll (which is one of their popular special rolls) and paid the difference. We also added a hamachi carpaccio just for more more protein for my SO because he thinks it might not be enough, but we were left super full. I love that the sushi wasn't loaded with rice and it was thinly included, we did mention that we usually don't like that much and the server said they can even adjust the rice content in the sushi.... We didn't confirm to adjust it but perhaps they went with it because rice is perfectly thin in the maki and less than usual for a nigiri, which is great because otherwise I don't know if we would have finished the meal. $5 to upgrade to brown rice for the sushi set that didn't have that much rice is still IMO a bit steep. Other that, the sushi is fresh, the special rolls are eye catching and tasty and the hamachi carpaccio was good too, LOVE the presentation. I think the best thing here is still their special rolls though! Server is so personable and made sure we were well taken care of. Only feedback I have here is the miso soup that with the Yorokobi set is way too salty I couldn't finish mine after a sip. Ambiance was clean with little Japanese decor throughout. The menu has expanded beyond katsu to include pizzas, wings, udon, and tteokbokki. The katsu was excellent with its light, crisp batter, and the special set came with a great variety of sides plus both rice and a small bowl of udon. The pizza and wings were also fantastic--we ordered the half-and-half pizza with the signature shrimbul (highly recommend if you like a little heat) and Korean bulgogi. The wings were flavorful and delicious as well. Service was decent, though we docked half a star because some drinks on the menu weren't available (only 2 out of the 5 beers listed). On Sunday, I got together with two friends for lunch at Hana Don. Markham has a location that I have yet to visit. My friends come to this one at CF Fairview Mall often and recommended that we come here. I booked a reservation for three at 12:30 pm online. It was easy. I drove over to this mall, which has changed a lot. There are more eateries that face Sheppard Avenue East and are connected to the mall, but you don't have direct access to it. The Moxie's is still there. I didn't recognize the others. Parking was challenging. This mall was busy. I ended up finding a spot close to the former Hudson's Bay store. I then walked over. I entered the eatery and a man greeted me. I let him know that I had a reservation under my name. He found it and guided me to a table in the corner of the eatery. My friend walked in and saw me through the window. They came over and we chatted while figuring out what we wanted to eat. We got these items: - Chicken katsu udon - Yuzu matcha soda (me) - Sirloin set (me) - Chicken teriyaki set - Dynamite roll One of my friends had udon for the first time. It was in broth. The chicken katsu came on a separate plate. I had a piece and it was tasty. She loved her meal. The udon was chewy. It looked good. My other friend was recovering from a cold, so we kept things safe by not sharing anything with him. He got the chicken teriyaki set and ate everything up. He ordered a dynamite roll and we had his California roll that came with his meal. I was pleased that his appetite was in good shape. She and I shared the California roll. It was delicious. It had imitation crab and avocado. This place was generous with ingredients in this roll. It was fresh and satisfying. I got the yuzu matcha soda. It was heavenly. I stirred it up before I drank it. It had the perfect balance of citrusy, sweet yuzu with good matcha and fizz. So refreshing! I loved my sirloin set. The sirloin steak don was exceptionally filling. The steak morsels were flavourful and perfectly cooked. It came with a lot of rice that was perfectly steamed. This set came with sashimi mori. I loved the salmon, but the smoked fish wasn't the best. The veggie tempura was excellent. The eggplant, sweet potato, and squash weren't greasy. They were crispy and yummy. The amazuzuke was excellent. I got white radish cubes that were pickled in what tasted like yuzu. Each cube cleansed my palate. I need to make some at home! The miso soup was excellent. I loved the cubed tofu. The salad was okay. The dressing tasted bland compared to everything else. It needed more miso or something. The sets were a great deal. The quality was superb. They are available every day between 11 am and 4 pm. We were too stuffed to get any dessert. The ube tiramisu intrigued me. I'll need to find room to enjoy it next time. It was busy here. The downside was that we had to flag our server to get more water and the bill. Otherwise, everything that we consumed was yummy. I paid with a credit card. I tipped and was done. Yay! I used the washroom before we left. The women's washroom was clean. No issues. This eatery is a great place to catch up with friends over delicious food. I'd like to come here on a weekday and gauge the parking scene. I'd return to try more good eats and drinks. (187)

The staff weren't very nice when we ask for things, and even took a long time for the bill to come when asked. My friend did mention the fish was fresh in her don but not too sure if I'd come back to give it another try...
