Great place to try!!! There's a reason why they have three locations (Markham, Aurora and Downtown) ...because they're that good. Great value, great quality. Now they have promos on blue fin tuna, chu-toro, salmon belly, oysters and lobster tail. They even have BYOB for $10! The value of the meals are amazing! The quality is so good too. The kimchi was made in-house. The mixed fish with seasoning appetizer was so delicious. Their portions are so generous I was shocked! The service was also incredible. Bathrooms were clean as well. I haven't been here in years so I think they might have renovated. I'm definitely coming back for more!

Came here to have some nice sushi with the family. Service: I've been here quite a few times and always had great service. They are all attentive and kind. You can press the button on each seating to call them as needed. Food: I would say the prices are on the more expensive side but their fish and portion is huge. The salmon tonight though was a bit more on the fishy side but not extensive or overwhelming. They gave extra ikura sushi instead of the usual 2 pieces, just because. That's a plus! Venue: Lots of seats here, plenty without the need to reserve. Their booth seats are tall creating more privacy for people.

Decor looks dated, restaurant looked the same for a decade. Food is good, and price to quality ratio is about right. Service is friendly.

Mine sushi (Markham) has been a long time favourite sushi spot for my family! I've "converted" friends to this place too because of their gigantic maki and consistent fish quality. Every person I've brought here has been wowed by the size of the maki! Service is always friendly & relatively quick here (plus, they remember your name from phone orders which just makes me feel special). It is more expensive than a typical sushi restaurant, so I recommend coming for their lunch specials or ordering a boat to share. Their cooked items are also delicious as well, particularly their galbi & tempura.

2.5 to 3 stars. The servers were attentive but the food was only average. There are so many Japanese places in Markham/ Richmond Hill these days. Once it used to be good (not a lot of choices years ago) and now it is not easy to stand out. I would rather try something new and different in the neighborhood.

Do you want fresh and delicious sushi? Look no further! Amazing rolls! The spicy salmon was so tasty, well seasoned and well made A tad too large, tbh, but it's so good. Went with a girlfriend and we both ordered the katsu that came with a salad, soup and bowl of rice. We totally could have shared bc it's a double portion! We both ended up taking half of it home.....my teenager ate the leftovers within minutes, lol! Definitely give this place a try. Note...it is on the smaller side, so don't go with a big party. I'd say max 4 ppl, and prob not with kids, if you can avoid it.

High key our favourite sushi spot in Markham. So much food for a great price and it all tastes amazing. Go here. Immediately. Don't think just eat!

A Markham Classic!!! We Love Mi-Ne Sushi and have eaten their several times pre and post Pandemic. The food there is always first rate and Mi-Ne Sushi is always one of our first choices when we go out to eat or order in for Sushi. The Pics on this review are for a Take-Out visit easier this year. You will love the care, effort and freshness of the Sushi here and I've never had or heard of a complaint in all my visits to this favoured Markham establishment.

Warm atmosphere! Lots of options on menu. Great food, portions are huge. The crazy roll is very big and fulfilling. The unagi set is large ! Good price with friendly service~

Honestly, this review is just for their takeout that my friend picked up for me! She and I had a socially distant dinner outside back in the summer months and I can tell you, based on the size of the rolls, I think I didn't even get through six of them before I was completely full haha. Mi-Ne is known for how massive their maki rolls are and you can see that they are indeed very large in the photo! I love their filling to rice ratio as well because a lot of retaurants will try and make you full by packing their rolls with rice. Mi-Ne doesn't play around like that :D Give their combos/sets a try if you don't like making decisions because there are so many items to choose from ~

We are back for the Tempura Shrimp here. They are delicious ... light batter and love the size of these prawns. The tempura dinner comes with 5 pcs plus tempura veggies, rice, miso soup and salad for $21. We also added another Shrimp Tempura (5 pc) Appetizer so we can share everything but didn't need the extras. The Maki combo included Spicy Salmon Roll, Unami Roll and a Dynamite Roll. The Wakame Seaweed salad comes with sliced avo and asparagus with a light sesame vinaigrette dressing. Open for takeout. And as usual 10% off when paying cash.

There is only a few stools and a high table for some people to sit and eat, but mostly it's just a takeout restaurant. Start are very friendly and you can see the chef's busy prepping everything in the back. They're a pretty big menu with a lot of different options. I ended up trying one of their party platters, as well as a California roll for my kid. The roles are really good lots of toppings and very thin amount of rice which I really like. The sashimi and sushi are both very fresh and has a good variety. Price point is also reasonable for the quality of the seafood. The establishment has a casual dine-in setup, offering a relaxed atmosphere suitable for a quick meal or a short break during the day. Despite being a dine-in restaurant, all food is served in takeout boxes, which, while convenient for those on the go, slightly diminishes the overall dining experience for those choosing to eat on the premises. The food quality itself was acceptable. Reasonably portioned, adequately seasoned, and prepared in a timely manner. While it may not stand out as exceptional, it fulfills the expectations for a casual meal. However, the main issue that significantly impacted my experience was the cleanliness of the tables. The first table I sat at had a noticeably sticky surface, which immediately raised concerns about hygiene and maintenance. Assuming it was an isolated case, I moved to a second table, only to encounter the same problem. A third attempt produced similar results, suggesting that this is not an isolated incident but rather a recurring issue throughout the dining area. A sticky table surface not only detracts from comfort but also gives the impression that cleaning practices are not being properly observed between guests. This, unfortunately, overshadowed what could have been a satisfactory meal. In summary, while the restaurant offers decent food at a fair value, the overall dining environment requires improvement, particularly in the table cleanliness and food presentation. Until this concern is addressed, I would recommend opting for takeout instead of dining in, as the food quality is adequate, but the in-house dining conditions fall short of acceptable standards.

The restaurant is super quiet and they offer great quality of food with great service, and the price is expensive if you choose to order sukiyaki set (expect $80+ per person). You can choose between sushi sets at different price level or sukiyaki from the menu. This suits the need of our group given some people prefer sushi but some couldn't eat raw food. They also offer a couple of limited appetizer dishes such as tempuras and unagi don. If you booked the sukiyaki table and want to order sushi, you need to call them in advance to notify which sushi sets you want. We tried the sashimi and sushi courses at $55, which included miso soup, 5 pieces of sashimi, 8 pieces of sushi (squid, toros, salmon, scallop etc.), handroll and matcha or black sesame icecream at your choice. The sushi is smaller than average, suitable for small eaters. The course is totally worth the money. I love every piece of sashimi and my favourite sushi include the scallop and the squid. Everything was super fresh. The dessert was also having the perfect sweetness level for me. In addition, we also tried the sukiyaki for two ($110), which includes mushrooms, cabbages, great quality of Angus beef, yummy tofu and udon. Again, all the material was with great quality and super fresh. I especially liked the sweet sukiyaki soup, the tofu and the udon. We also ordered some shareable dishes including chawanmushi, unagi don and cod. Cod was cooked to perfect (soft and flavourful), and unagi don had quite decent portion. It would be better if the unagi could be softer from my personal opinion. Chawanmushi was mediocre. Overall, I strongly recommend this restaurant to fan of Japanese cuisine. That's because every other guest was a well-known "regular" -- a very good sign. We were ushered through the tranquil restaurant and seated at the sushi bar, a zen ambience. We chose the $55 sushi+sashimi omakase lunch course, and it didn't disappoint. The eight pieces of nigiri featured a somewhat typical selection of fish (and hotate/scallop), but slightly edgy and unique in the choice of seasoning and flavours, prepared by Chef Takinami with all the pomp and ceremony and you would expect from fine omakase. The pacing was excellent, we never felt rushed from piece to piece; the wait staff were attentive as would be expected from a high-end Japanese restaurant, on par with omakases that cost three times as much. Overall, incredible value on the meal, for both the food and experience. We couldn't help but look around at what the regulars were enjoying (in addition to their omakase nigiri) -- botan ebi nigiri with deep fried shrimp heads, chawanmushi, cooked dishes featuring monk fish livers, tempura appetizers and more... some great ideas for our next visit!
