    Hamachi, bluefin otoro and scallops
    Natalie C.

This is actually my second time getting take out here despite living 40 mins away. Both time I got their sashimi by the pound. This time, I got approximately half a pound of hamachi and half a pound of bluefin otoro. I paired it with some sashimi grade scallops that I bought frozen somewhere else. We didn't get to choose the cut of hamachi, but the staff did show us the piece and told us the weight and price before slicing. Out of the 3 pieces of otoro on display in the fridge, the staff allow us to choose one to buy half of it. Each piece on display weighed 1-2 pounds, which was too much for the 2 of us. The staff definitely went above and beyond, offering to let us choose which end of the piece to buy. Similar to last time the presentation was stunning. There was gold flakes, flower petals, fresh seaweed and perilla (?) leaves as garnish without additional charge. The otoro was fatty and decandant, but it did not quite instantly melt in my mouth. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed it. The hamachi had a delicate flavour. I had more "fatty" hamachi elsewhere in the GTA, but maybe its because we were also eating the otoro. I really enjoy the tenderness of the hamachi, it did not have any "tendons" or "chewy" parts. We paid a total of ~$130, which I would say is extremely reasonable given the quality of food we got. We will definitely be back again.

We're poke bowl fans and decided to try Sushi Market for dinner tonight. Had it for takeout. Ordered Salmon Poke and BBQ pork Poke. What a pleasant surprise with quantity and quality. Taste is on point. I'll be ordering this again. Can't wait to try their actual sushi as it looks great. Their store offers fresh cuts of fish as well.

I initially discovered this take out place due to an Uber Eats coupon. I tried their Bara don and really enjoyed the freshness and the presentation. It was an assortment of sashimi on rice. It was perfectly balanced with fresh ingredients and the meal looked absolutely gorgeous. I later visited the location to buy take out, only to discover I could choose my own fish (fresh or frozen) and buy it like groceries (ie no tax). They offer to slice it and have it well presented with wasabi and soy sauce. They have a good selection and is conveniently located at Langham Square. Highly recommended. I'm definitely a regular patron there

The food was incredibly fresh and delicious! We ordered it for dinner after 8 PM, and it was just the right portion--not too heavy for our family of three. A perfect late-night meal!

    Chirashi Don

The food was delicious and well-priced for the amount and quality. The space is small and it's more known for its party tray takeout rather than dine-in, but we sat inside and received amazing service. Our server went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable. She also did a great job explaining different items on the menu. She presented the food, explaining the different preparation techniques and was very friendly overall. We got the chirashi don and Japanese pork belly don. Since we spent over $40, we were able to add 8 pieces of salmon oshizushi (pressed sushi) for just $2! Loved this place and will return for take out! Competitive prices and fresh fish.

This is a new sushi place (I believe), so we decide to give a try tonight. It's located outside Unionville T&T. We ordered a red/green dragon roll set and chirashi. Its good quality with the pricing. They did what we asked for - separate the raw and cooked sushi as it's for the kids. They definitely prepare this with heart. It's not a bad choice since Toyosu is always busy and closed. I would definitely come back to try more different kind!

Premium Sashimi Platter - 3 pieces each of 7 premium sashimi
    Danielle L.

Wow, I've never noticed this little sushi place but they've been open for almost two years! The plaza it is in is hella busy and parking is quite difficult at times... but it was worth the struggle! First off, they don't have a really good presence online so I messaged on IG and they were quick to respond and super helpful. You can order via all the regular delivery apps but also via IG or phone. The premium sashimi platter (3 pieces each of 7 different types) was so good- beautifully presented and great selection. The uni was sooo sweet, the toro melted in my mouth and the salmon was so fatty! A little confusing because they also have an "Omakase" option on their menu which is actually the regular sashimi selection you'd expect from any platter. The toro don was also delicious and helped fill us up since it had a nice bed of rice. The only thing I wouldn't get again is the torched scallop roll only because I felt the scallop got lost when I ate the whole roll. If I didn't have to drive a while before I got to eat it, I'd definitely try the torched scallop don instead. The attention to detail in terms of presentation is amazing. If you need to impress someone with some quality sushi, try this!

Recently ordered takeout from here. Everything was fresh and tasty but a touch on the pricier than what I'm used to. This may not be an "everyday" sushi place for me but will definitely return...perhaps if the packaging was less frilly, they may be able to lower their price...

What a treat! Went on UberEats and Yin Sushi was having a BOGO on the Torched Salmon Sushi! The quality of the sushi is better amongst most in the area! It's fresh, the garnishes perfectly balance each other. I'd definitely come and visit to try out the rest of the things on the menu that look super fresh!

    Look at this deliciousness.

My partner got me a sushi cake from here for my birthday. Let me just say the amount of time and care they go into making this cake makes it worth the amount that they're charging. The lady that served us took the time to share with us the ins and outs of the sushi cake that was ordered. It's amazing that they flew in edible flowers straight from japan! Also my dream of eating a sushi cake for my birthday finally came true - thanks to Yin Sushi Market!

Rating; 4.0/5.0 Ordered from here a few items already. They are located Langham Square at one of the outside units in the plaza. A fairly small shop that is meant for takeout. They have a small fridge section for fresh fish and uni etc. as well. Their 8pc pressed sushi ($12.95) is quite good. Very well prepared with just the right balance of sauce, fish and toppings to rice ratio. A potential improvement area would be the texture of the rice as it may be a bit too dense for some folks. Their tuna poke bowl ($14.99) is also beautifully prepared - the edamame and avocados are always great quality along with the fish selection. Rice is perfectly seasoned but again, the texture could be improved a notch. Overall a nice quality place to try with a great selection at a reasonable price.

The establishment has a casual dine-in setup, offering a relaxed atmosphere suitable for a quick meal or a short break during the day. Despite being a dine-in restaurant, all food is served in takeout boxes, which, while convenient for those on the go, slightly diminishes the overall dining experience for those choosing to eat on the premises. The food quality itself was acceptable. Reasonably portioned, adequately seasoned, and prepared in a timely manner. While it may not stand out as exceptional, it fulfills the expectations for a casual meal. However, the main issue that significantly impacted my experience was the cleanliness of the tables. The first table I sat at had a noticeably sticky surface, which immediately raised concerns about hygiene and maintenance. Assuming it was an isolated case, I moved to a second table, only to encounter the same problem. A third attempt produced similar results, suggesting that this is not an isolated incident but rather a recurring issue throughout the dining area. A sticky table surface not only detracts from comfort but also gives the impression that cleaning practices are not being properly observed between guests. This, unfortunately, overshadowed what could have been a satisfactory meal. In summary, while the restaurant offers decent food at a fair value, the overall dining environment requires improvement, particularly in the table cleanliness and food presentation. Until this concern is addressed, I would recommend opting for takeout instead of dining in, as the food quality is adequate, but the in-house dining conditions fall short of acceptable standards.

The restaurant is super quiet and they offer great quality of food with great service, and the price is expensive if you choose to order sukiyaki set (expect $80+ per person). You can choose between sushi sets at different price level or sukiyaki from the menu. This suits the need of our group given some people prefer sushi but some couldn't eat raw food. They also offer a couple of limited appetizer dishes such as tempuras and unagi don. If you booked the sukiyaki table and want to order sushi, you need to call them in advance to notify which sushi sets you want. We tried the sashimi and sushi courses at $55, which included miso soup, 5 pieces of sashimi, 8 pieces of sushi (squid, toros, salmon, scallop etc.), handroll and matcha or black sesame icecream at your choice. The sushi is smaller than average, suitable for small eaters. The course is totally worth the money. I love every piece of sashimi and my favourite sushi include the scallop and the squid. Everything was super fresh. The dessert was also having the perfect sweetness level for me. In addition, we also tried the sukiyaki for two ($110), which includes mushrooms, cabbages, great quality of Angus beef, yummy tofu and udon. Again, all the material was with great quality and super fresh. I especially liked the sweet sukiyaki soup, the tofu and the udon. We also ordered some shareable dishes including chawanmushi, unagi don and cod. Cod was cooked to perfect (soft and flavourful), and unagi don had quite decent portion. It would be better if the unagi could be softer from my personal opinion. Chawanmushi was mediocre. Overall, I strongly recommend this restaurant to fan of Japanese cuisine. That's because every other guest was a well-known "regular" -- a very good sign. We were ushered through the tranquil restaurant and seated at the sushi bar, a zen ambience. The eight pieces of nigiri featured a somewhat typical selection of fish (and hotate/scallop), but slightly edgy and unique in the choice of seasoning and flavours, prepared by Chef Takinami with all the pomp and ceremony and you would expect from fine omakase. The pacing was excellent, we never felt rushed from piece to piece; the wait staff were attentive as would be expected from a high-end Japanese restaurant, on par with omakases that cost three times as much. Overall, incredible value on the meal, for both the food and experience. We couldn't help but look around at what the regulars were enjoying (in addition to their omakase nigiri) -- botan ebi nigiri with deep fried shrimp heads, chawanmushi, cooked dishes featuring monk fish livers, tempura appetizers and more... some great ideas for our next visit!
