My lunch sashimi and sushi lunch box!! So good can't wait to get more sushi from them I wish they have dine in but I guess if they did their quality might not be able to keep up... Chef are always soo nice they will work with what you don't eat and replace with other options

Was craving sushi (specifically one that offered torched sushi) and came across this place. It's not super new so I'm surprised I haven't heard of this place before. It's a mom and pop sushi spot, with one sushi chef. Ordering might be a little tricky as English is not the greatest. But we managed to get our order through and we got exactly as what we wanted. This is a take-out spot, so there aren't table for dine in. Service was quick and our order was done on time. They accept cash or debit only. For the food - we were very impressed! We like trying new things so this was right up our alley. We really loved all the unique rolls and the presentation was so aesthetic! We go A1 40pcs and T1 Spicy Salmon Press. Sashimi was super fresh and the rolls were very flavourful. Pricing was also very reasonable. Definitely recommend trying this sushi spot!

Wow. Very high quality fresh sashimi. The owner was super nice with customizing our sushi set. The service was quick and the sushi was soooooo good! This is such a hidden gem! Will return again for sure!

A1 - Sashimi, Sushi, and Maki tray ($42)

New, little place for sushi takeout... also doubles as a bakery?! Ordered the A1 - Sashimi, Sushi, and Maki tray ($42). Price is very fair as it works out to be just under $1 per piece, a rare find these days. Everything we ordered was fresh. I think there was a bit too much sauce on the rolls, otherwise everything was very good for its price! Run by a nice couple - great service.

A word of caution don't order on the phone because your order will be wrong, I ordered four things, and I got completely different stuff, I got a salmon with rice completely tasteless, and an eel with rice and a roll, I quickly went back to the restaurant and told the owner that this is wrong and the owner acknowledged he made a mistake, and let me keep the order and gave those other rolls which was very nice of him and gave me 20 bucks back, that's not the reason I'm giving a one, and the owner does not understand English, so communication is a problem, the ambiance it's a small place not really for eating. more of a takeout place, since I've been to a lot of sushi places that's why I'm being so critical, I'm never coming back here, waste of 20 mins driving here, one thing I would advise to the owner is just try to listen on phone very attentively,

This is basically a one chef sushi joint. Its a combined shop with a bakery place. Quality was great, we ordered the 120 piece tray for $128. Food is nicely presented but even better, it tasted fresh. If youre looking for takeout, i would highly recommend however i would also suggest calling in to schedule your order since its only one person prepping.

The sushi is absolutely incredible!!! So fresh and it's so yummy!! I haven't had sushi this good in a while please give this place a try it's so good!! The two guys that work there are so sweet and they know what they're doing with the sushi for sure! It's definitely takeout sushi! The location is a shared location so you can't eat the sushi there but you can definitely ordered to go! 10/10 sushi!

My son plays tennis next door and I've been meaning to try this place out for awhile. It's a small sushi counter shared with Mocci bakery (my dad often orders cupcakes here). Takeout only - I ordered the special tray for 2 which was 38 pieces for $56 and a California roll for my 3 year old. The wait was about 20 mins. Presentation was good and overall sushi was fine (except for the uni that was a bit funky). All in all, not a bad experience, although my husband wasn't a fan of the mango roll.

I'm always on the lookout for best sushi places that not only serves quality sushi, but also gives you the best bang for your buck and this place is definitely one of them. A hidden gem located on the northeast corner of Denison and Esna Park. We've ordered from here twice now. Note, they only offer takeout service. You can also customize the sushi tray to your liking - just simply ask the owner when you place the order. They're closed on Tuesdays and they get their deliveries on Wednesdays so if you're looking for the best quality where it is most fresh, I'd highly recommend ordering from them between Wednesday and Friday. A great addition to the Markham area - definitely one of our top favourites!

62 piece sashimi, sushi and maki tray

Heard a new takeout sushi place opened in town and I had to try! We ordered the 62 piece sashimi sushi maki tray for $60 on a Friday night and they told us they gave us the nicer cuts of fish since they were nearing closing time. The sushi tray looked so good and everything tasted super fresh. Rolls were also very unique - not what you would normally get at sushi places. Price was such a steal for such good quality sushi and sashimi. - can't wait to come again!

Good quality fresh fish good value. Chef is nice and flexible to make up to your expectations

Sashimi wasn't super fresh and wasn't all cut evenly. Despite ordering a premium set we had some small end cut sashimi pieces. Even the shrimp waste was not removed. I've heard lot of good things about this place but I was unfortunately disappointed.

The establishment has a casual dine-in setup, offering a relaxed atmosphere suitable for a quick meal or a short break during the day. Despite being a dine-in restaurant, all food is served in takeout boxes, which, while convenient for those on the go, slightly diminishes the overall dining experience for those choosing to eat on the premises. The food quality itself was acceptable. Reasonably portioned, adequately seasoned, and prepared in a timely manner. While it may not stand out as exceptional, it fulfills the expectations for a casual meal. However, the main issue that significantly impacted my experience was the cleanliness of the tables. The first table I sat at had a noticeably sticky surface, which immediately raised concerns about hygiene and maintenance. Assuming it was an isolated case, I moved to a second table, only to encounter the same problem. A third attempt produced similar results, suggesting that this is not an isolated incident but rather a recurring issue throughout the dining area. A sticky table surface not only detracts from comfort but also gives the impression that cleaning practices are not being properly observed between guests. This, unfortunately, overshadowed what could have been a satisfactory meal. In summary, while the restaurant offers decent food at a fair value, the overall dining environment requires improvement, particularly in the table cleanliness and food presentation. Until this concern is addressed, I would recommend opting for takeout instead of dining in, as the food quality is adequate, but the in-house dining conditions fall short of acceptable standards.

The portions were actually quite generous for omakase, which was a nice surprise. There was a good variety throughout the course, from richer bites like uni and toro to lighter pieces that felt clean, delicate, and well balanced. I especially liked how fresh everything tasted, and a few of the pieces had that soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture that makes omakase feel special. The savory bites in between also kept the meal interesting and made it feel more complete rather than repetitive. The only small thing for me was the pace. The chef served everything a little too quickly, so it felt hard at times to slow down and fully enjoy each piece before the next one arrived. Still, the quality, portion size, and overall value made this a very worthwhile experience. If you are looking for an omakase in Toronto that feels satisfying without being overly expensive, Mizu Sushi Omakase is definitely a place I would keep in mind.

Taki is a fine dining Japanese restaurant located in the busy commerical areas of Richmond Hill…read more We recently had lunch here for a special occasion. The restaurant is super quiet and they offer great quality of food with great service, and the price is expensive if you choose to order sukiyaki set (expect $80+ per person). You can choose between sushi sets at different price level or sukiyaki from the menu. This suits the need of our group given some people prefer sushi but some couldn't eat raw food. They also offer a couple of limited appetizer dishes such as tempuras and unagi don. If you booked the sukiyaki table and want to order sushi, you need to call them in advance to notify which sushi sets you want. We tried the sashimi and sushi courses at $55, which included miso soup, 5 pieces of sashimi, 8 pieces of sushi (squid, toros, salmon, scallop etc.), handroll and matcha or black sesame icecream at your choice. The sushi is smaller than average, suitable for small eaters. The course is totally worth the money. I love every piece of sashimi and my favourite sushi include the scallop and the squid. Everything was super fresh. The dessert was also having the perfect sweetness level for me. In addition, we also tried the sukiyaki for two ($110), which includes mushrooms, cabbages, great quality of Angus beef, yummy tofu and udon. Again, all the material was with great quality and super fresh. I especially liked the sweet sukiyaki soup, the tofu and the udon. We also ordered some shareable dishes including chawanmushi, unagi don and cod. Cod was cooked to perfect (soft and flavourful), and unagi don had quite decent portion. It would be better if the unagi could be softer from my personal opinion. Chawanmushi was mediocre. Overall, I strongly recommend this restaurant to fan of Japanese cuisine. It meets different people's needs by offering both cooked and raw food options, and the sushi set definitely has great value for money.

The sushi chef was very friendly and approachable, but he wouldn't make you feel like you need to yap with him like other omakase I've been to in Toronto where they would talk to the customers a lot. The wait staff was attentive and polite. Overall really good quality sushi, service and value. Would come again! I also appreciate that they don't require a deposit for reservations and don't require to pick the set you want beforehand. Very clean and warm design. Felt like I was in Japan!
