Vaughan has been my go-to second location for Ikon Sushi. II have not dine-in at both locations for as I always get take-out just because I want that awesome cloth packaging. I always try to go for a multiple boxes especially their Vintage box. Every Nigiri has excellent quality especially the Tuna and Ikura. Service is very fairly quick as well.

I tried IKON Sushi for the first time, and it did not disappoint. Initially, I ordered takeout but ended up dining in. We had the Ultra Spicy Tuna Roll, Spicy Scallop Roll, and Ikura Sake-Don. All of them were incredibly fresh and delicious, with generous portions. The Ikura Sake-Don was unique--it doesn't have much flavor on its own, but a splash of soy sauce enhances it perfectly. My favorite was probably the Ultra Spicy Tuna Roll. It was a surprise how flavorful the brown rice was--usually, it doesn't taste good, but it worked here. The service was outstanding. The cashier noticed we decided to dine in and kindly offered us extra plates and napkins. The restaurant itself was clean and spacious, creating a comfortable atmosphere. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes!

If you are looking for sushi place with good value for money ($30 per person), come to this restaurant. If you look for high quality premium sushi, this is not the place. Seeing many good reviews on google about this place, I decided to try it out. Their menu has quite some raw food selections including rolls, chirashi don, and sushi trays. The only cooked dish here is ugani don which have large portion at only $19. I planned to try their donburi with uni originally but they ran out of uni on the day, so I ordered the negitoro ikura don with hamachi. I also tried their 10-piece supreme sushi box. The don was in decent portion with quite some amount of ikura. The sushi box also consisted of varieties of selections including salmon, tuna, shrimp, ikura, squid, scallop etc. Nothing wowed me from the two dishes I ordered. The ikura and toro were not very fresh with fishy taste. The other fishes tasted okay. At the price they charged under this market, I couldn't complain much. Overall, the place mainly offers raw food selections, with good varieties and decent portion at reasonable price.

My family and I always opt for takeout from here because their food never fails to impress. Even though the atmosphere leans more toward a takeout vibe, the dine-in service is always friendly and welcoming. I especially recommend the supreme Sashimi party tray (S2)--its freshness and presentation are unparalleled. Without a doubt, this is my favorite sushi spot in Vaughan, standing out from the typical all-you-can-eat joints and other local sushi establishments.

Ordered take out for 5 people and this ended up being a little too much. The rolls were really good but overall I enjoy Toro Toro more. The tuna was a bit veiny and I'm not sure if that's what made it tough but a couple pieces were difficult to chew. The presentation is beautiful, the boxes come tied in the piece of fabric. The boxes are also nice and sleek!

I ordered takeout and it came in beautiful packaging with a jersey cloth. Very nice touch! The food was good, I would rate it 8/10. The only thing I would say that I didn't care for was that the fish sashimi came in really large chunks instead of delicately sliced pieces. The rolls had great flavour and I liked the ones with purple rice. The sets are around $70 for two people so decent value. The only con about this place is that they only take cash or debit.

Been to the Markham location many times, and this new location did not disappoint. Sushi is always solid, and love the different variety of sushi in the platters. Location is mostly for take-out, with a few tables available for dine-in. Great option if you're in the Vaughan area.

Been here about 3 times already before writing this review. Twice for take out and once for dine in. I can't express how great the quality here is for the price! I love it. Also probably my favorite Chirashi in the GTA!!! Note: you can only pay debit or cash (cash has a discount)

I went to IKON for their one year anniversary celebration in Vaughan! This was so worth it! They have a 50% off menu to celebrate and we tried some sushi rolls off there. We got the Chirashi don which I eat in one sitting! Super tasty, and flavourful fish. We also got a few rolls - tempura roll, purple, salmon, roll, and the house roll. The purple salmon roll was off of 50% off menu, and it was really yummy! It had shrimp and salmon, and was delicious. We also got the supreme sushi set which came with a variety of nigiri and was super unique. I really enjoy the ambiance here. Also, the decor was really gorgeous definitely recommend!

IKON Sushi had its grand opening at Vaughan today, and y'all already know how excited I am about this. In addition to my previous review of their original location in Markham, I just want to point out that IKON Sushi is so great that they had a scammer on Instagram imitating their account. It was very absurd, yet it spoke loudly about the premium quality of their one-of-the-best sushi in the GTA. I got the usual - Salmon Ikura Don with the complimentary Ikon House Roll because of their grand opening. Albeit the chaos & hustles of the grand opening event, the salmon don is still spot on with the freshness of the fish & the quality of the craftsmanship. The House Roll, on the other hand, combines multiple flavour profiles - creamy, umami, a hint of spice, and the freshness of the cucumber. All these made it hard to stop feasting on it. In the era of the resurgent AYCE sushi culture due to the end of lockdowns in North America, we almost forgot how good and delicate maki rolls can be. IKON Sushi will serve you the quality rolls and sushi to remind you the forgotten oceanic brilliance.

IKON Sushi - Chirashi Don along with P.A. Roll (smoked salmon, cream cheese) & House Roll (shrimp, gomae, purple rice)

An IKON has arrived in town! Yep, it's yet another sushi spot in the growing Vaughan food scene. Premium presentation is their game, to prove not all sushi are the same. This is their second location following the Markham restaurant in Yelp's Top 100 list. So when a hotspot decides to open near us, then there's good reason to visit. We called IKON ahead to order a selection of their popular items: Chirashi Don (D3) along with their House & Philly Rolls (P1 & 2). The latter was labelled as a "PA Roll" here. An upsize from Philly to Pennsylvania, like lox with more cream cheese! Our takeout order was packed in cloth fabric for a more traditional touch. Chirashi Don was a well-presented box of cubed sashimi, tamago, okra. Assorted salmon, tuna, octopus & snapper were firm & fresh but faintly distinguishable together. Salmon roes popped to provide little ocean bursts. Brown akazu sushi rice was a highlight of the Chirashi Don and Philly Roll; each grain tasted rich & smooth. Purple rice wrapped around the House Roll tempura & avocado. This new IKON location is situated beside The Alley in a less frequented plaza by Vaughan Mills. The sleek red interior is spaciously setup for takeout. The centre wall is focused on tuna cuts. With that focus on fish, we devoured our raw sushi meal with satisfaction.

I was intrigued by the rave reviews of IKON sushi, so on a weekend I ordered over the phone for pickup. I was interested in the negitoro ikuradon with uni, but unfortunately uni was not in season. Instead, I decided to order the chirashidon. The employee said it would only take a few minutes and confirmed that it was the Vaughan location and not the Markham location. I guess that's a common mistake. Pickup was fast and efficient. The boxed donburi, soy sauce, and ginger were wrapped in an easy-to-carry cloth. The presentation, box, and donburi itself certainly looked premium. There is a bit of wasabi inside the box for those looking for a little heat. The donburi rice was warm, seasoned, and flavorful. I could eat this rice on its own. The pieces of fish on top were tasty as well and I enjoyed the bursts of ikura. I found the octopus a little too chewy though. Overall, I thought the food here was really good and I'd come back to treat myself. It's no surprise that IKON is on Yelp's top 100 places to eat in Canada.

I would rate 3.5 if I could ! We went to IKON sushi for lunch on Sunday as we were in the neighborhood. It's a take out sushi restaurant with a few dine-in tables. We ordered a Salmon lunch set, unagi don, 2 inari sushi and Scallop roll with avocado (initially I wanted to try their premium sushi which comes with negitoro and uni but they didn't have uni so switched to this roll). Sashimi on sushi was fresh and unagi was decent. The bills came to over $70 which I found a bit pricey. The staff was unfriendly (rather rude) but still did his job. I would rate 4 for the food and 3 for the service. The overall rate is 3.5.

For the price, it's honestly a pretty good deal and satisfied my emergency sushi craving! The miso soup was nice and hot, the salmon sushi was okay, but the rice could use a little more flavour to give it that extra kick.
