Customer Service: 5 stars Food: -1 star (yes, that is a negative one) Pricing: 3 stars Atmosphere: 5 stars Location: 5 stars 17 / 5 = 3.4 star overall rating Would I be back? Yes. Only to give them a second chance. I have been basically begging friends and family to check this place out with me. I finally had one of my bestest friends join me here. (Yes, I'm old and using a high school reference, so sue me). We erroneously thought that we had to "play golf' to sit at the bar but that is so not true. We sat down on a Sunday late afternoon at the 'lower' bar and service was good from the very start. We didn't have to wait any time at all for someone to acknowledge us, which was very nice. It does happen sometimes though but this time, not so much. Don't you just hate spending good, hard earned money at an establishment only to be begging for someone to wait on you? Well, this time, this didn't happen here. Hence, the reason, and the pricing, that I will give them one more chance but not the food. Anyway, I get ahead of myself. First, let me tell you, I am not a food snob and will eat anything that tastes good to me. So I asked her, "What is the best seller here food wise?" and she instantly said the Mushi, nachos and Mac Daddy burger. I know this embarrasses my husband, but I have to ask what is their best seller, right!?!? Yes. I agree. I have to admit I wasn't expecting the Mac Daddy though. Hmm. Maybe next time....? Anyway, since I read so many GLOWING reviews about the Mushi on Yelp, I just had no option but to try them, right?. My friend is a nacho connoisseur so she had to try their nachos (yes, I had to look that up for the spelling!! Do not judge. Stop it. Now.) As we often like to do, we both order something different and try both options. You cannot see me but I am shaking my head back and forth in, like, "really"? Ugh. It didn't work this time for us. 0-2. My Mushi came out first and while the presentation was absolutely lovely, the taste was so severely bland, that I asked for some hot sauce to give it some flavor. Even then, we left 2 on the plate for the garbage man. I hate wasting food. If hubby had been with me, maybe, just maybe he would have tried to doctor them up at home. Okay. So Mushi didn't work for us. So, next to come out were her Nachos that she was oh, so looking forward to. Pesto...? Really??? On Nachos? That's me talking, not my nacho connoisseur (Yes, I had to look at how to spell it, yet again!!! Stop laughing). Justing looking at it wasn't appetizing for me at all but hey, I'd give it a try. I took one bite and said No Thank You. Sigh. Girl. (Or guy) I have to tell you, that we do not like leaving Nachos (or any food) on the plate at all for the garbage man. But these.... were.... just .... wrong. Many were left for the garbage man. So sad. Karma is so gonna kick our butts for wasting food; or maybe their butts for MAKING US waste food....? Anyway, there was a terrific man sitting next to my connoisseur (shut up and seriously, stop judging me) and he was telling us that we should have tried chicken/waffle slider thingees so that is the only reason we will go back. Okay, maybe not the ONLY reason because this place has a cool concept. Food not so much. Pricing was average; we've paid higher and we've paid lower for our 'beverages' so we will try them again. Parking was surprisingly easy! They even had Valet parking for $5! Me? I'd rather spend that $5 on a drink but hey, give it a try. Oh and don't forget to tip your Valet person. The guy earlier looked so lonely out in the storm; all by his lonesome. Is it illegal to bring them a drink? Probably wouldn't take it, thinking it was a 'tampered' drink but it's the thought that counts, my mama always says.... right? So, as it is always for me, the question is "will I go back?". Yes, but not in a hurry. I want to try their 'bays' for "pretend golfing" and I want to try their waffle chicken slider things and hoping the hottie next to Ms. Connoisseur was spot on. (wink. wink.) Stay tuned. read more

I've played before at the Alexandria location. This one is far and away, much better. It's newer...and larger...and has better food. I like the extensive menu options and the quality was really good. The staff is very young...I think they've hired all High School students. I really like the larger sofas and the more updated hi-tech screens. The food quality & service is excellent. A slight down grade for the confusing checkin process. They tout downloading their app...but there's no real benefit to that. It was Ben's birthday so he got an email from them with a $10 off coupon. read more

We celebrated our daughter's birthday there and had a wonderful time. Even those that have never golfed had a great time. Everyone we encountered really went out of their way in customer service. From making sure we were happy with our bay location, to gathering so many Top Golf folks to celebrate my girls big day with a song and a treat, they really set the bar high. Our server, Gary, was great and made sure we had anything we needed. He's a keeper, Top Golf! We'll be back again soon read more

Came here last night to catch up with old friends. Received nothing short of the wonderful experience I've gotten before. We arrived around 8:30 and was fully prepared to wait as it was a busy Saturday night. We sat at the restaurant/bar area in the meantime. Even as 25th in line for a bay, my group's bay was ready after 30 minutes. They were able to accommodate our preference for the 3rd floor. We were waiting for food (all of it is good, I've never been disappointed) at the bar, which they delivered to our bay instead. Our waiter at the bay was great checking up on us and always made sure we had what we needed. Our bay (clubs, table, and couches) was well kept. I've been here when it was near freezing temperatures outside, but their outdoor heaters made it very comfortable and cozy to play in. I wish it was the same for the current hot and humid climate. The lamp over the table also contributed to the temperature. They only had fans that rotated between two bays. I probably won't be coming back here until the weather cools down. I've been to the Alexandria location and will not be going back there after this opened. I believe you get more bang for your buck when they charge per hour (versus per game at the Alexandria location). You can't beat the high tech driving range, top notch service, and tasty food! I love coming to top golf! read more

I came here for a friend's birthday party on a Saturday. We anticipated for the wait to be long, so my fiance and I came early to put in our names for two golf lanes. The staff were really organized, lines were clearly labeled so you knew where you had to be. On top of that, there was staff walking around to remind those in line that we needed a player card in order to check in/add to the wait list. I appreciated that because they wanted to make sure you weren't wasting time in line only to be told you needed to go to another line to get a player card first. After adding ourselves to the wait list, we went to the bar/dining area to grab some food while we waited. We seated ourselves and a waitress came by shortly to greet us and take our orders. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sliders with a side of fries and my fiance ordered the Sunrise Burger. I was pleasantly surprised for how good the food was, I was expecting generic bar food. The Pulled Pork Sliders come with two sliders packed with bbq pulled pork and beer slaw on toasted rolls. These sliders were so flavorful and I loved the presentation with the adorable mini flags put into the rolls :) The Sunrise Burger comes with beef patty, bacon, cheddar cheese, a fried egg, lettuce, tomato and onion. My fiance enjoyed the burger, it came with an side of tater tots and again presentation was adorable with the mini flag and the basket of tater tots put on the plate. I am very impressed with the quality of the food and service, if it weren't for how far the location is from me, I would consider coming here for the food alone! In the middle of our meal, the two golf lanes became available and the staff were gracious enough to hold our lanes for us for an additional 10 minutes so that we could finish our meal. The seating area for the golf lanes were nicely setup, seats were comfy, heat lamps were keeping us all warm and toasty and the automated ball sensor was a huge plus. Unlike other locations where you need to grab a bucket of golf balls, here you wave your golf club over a sensor at your lane and a golf ball pops out. The music was great and the staff came by to check on us multiple times. We ended up ordering the Cheese Fries and Sensational S'Mores. As a group we devoured the cheese fries, the blend of melted cheese really soaked into the fries. The Sensational S'Mores were chocolate chip sandwiches with a marshmallow filling, it was gooey, sugary deliciousness... several people in our group swore they were on diets but quickly cracked and ended up having a bite ;) There is a huge parking lot, so parking should not be an issue. I am not a huge golf fan, but I really enjoyed myself here on my last visit and would recommend it to others :) read more

Although this place is fun, it's very expensive. The food isn't so expensive but $45 per hour so $100 in 2 hrs gone not including food and drinks. If you're doing s family date thing that's $150+ just for a fun evening out. And that was with military discount (at least for the food) the server saw my ID. This place would be 4 to 5 stars if It didnt cost my monthly auto insurance to attend. I think I'm going to check out the local driving range next time vs going here. I get that it has the computer to tell you how far out you hit the ball etc or maybe I should just stay inside because I'm to cheap. read more

The clubs at the bay and the ball machine are awesome upgraded from the Alexandria location. The digital check-in is awesome. I didn't like that we started our round at 7:07 but the computer still ended the round right at 8:00, charging us for the full hour. Then 2 staff members rushed us out of the bay and told us to finish our drinks at the bar. Nah, we just paid $50 (not including the games and drinks) to sit here. I'm going to sit here and finish my damn beer, thank you. :-P read more

Don't: waste $50 reserving a bay. It does not include any game play and we still had to wait 15 min past our reservation despite being early because some VIP members came in and bumped us down the list. Do: put your name in and eat at the restaurant while you wait for a bay. Then get drinks at your bay. Don't: spend $5 PER to create multiple "memberships" so you can play competitively with members of your group. Do: play under one name and take turns hitting. Don't: expect the bays to comfortably sit 8 people. It's awkward (one L-shaped lounger for 4 people and a weird bar table behind the bay with three high chairs). Do: keep groups to 4-5 (turn-taking is way more manageable!) Don't: order boneless bites (some of ours had bones). Do: order buffalo chicken flat bread. read more

Nice, organized, clean location. We had a great time playing the Angry Birds games. Fun and chill environment. We didn't have a wait (reserved bay online) and ordered a ton of appetizers - 6 for $55. We had an adult birthday party opening weekend! Everything went great. Only snag was with our cake, but we got that resolved so make sure you ask about cakes in advance to get things sorted out. We had a group of 19 so they reserved 4 bays for us. There was plenty of room for people to walk and mingle. Food was delicious! We had mini-beef sliders and fried chicken sandwiches, chips an salad. The chicken sliders were amazing. Soft drinks were all included with our package but people open bar tabs for booze which was perfect. We could have gotten alcohol included but decided it wasn't worth it. Our planning process was smooth, Lexx made sure everything was taken care of and was always available to me. On-site, she stopped by a few times to check on us which I appreciated. Our on-site person Amanda did a great job as well, managed to keep all of us happy even though there was so many of us! After our 2 hr party was over, a few people extended the time and that was easy peasy! There was an hour+ wait but they allowed us to stay and pay per hour. I would host another party there again in a heart beat. We were on the 3rd floor and had awesome views and easy access to the roof-top terrace/bar but there are bays on the first floor that have access to a multipurpose room that's air conditioned and has an xbox set up, table hockey, and such games that would be perfect to let a toddler run around in or older kids not into golfing (but along for the ride.) Valet was set up and complimentary for opening weekend but I think after that weekend it's $5 which is pretty reasonable in my opinion. All-in-all an above-average experience, especially in comparison to Top Golf Alexandria. Def recommend! read more

And I tried it again, per the encouragement of the manager. My table had their drink spilled and they brought another - 30 full minutes later. The bill comes and they charged us for the spilled drink. It wasn't right to pay for something we didn't get, right!? We ask to have it removed from our bill... the server seemed anxious and pulled out his wallet offering us money. He was going to give us the 12.50 we were overcharged from his own wallet. I explained I would NEVER take his money and understood mistakes happen (he didn't even spill the drinks and was dealing with a difficult table nearby). I told him no multiple times... turns out it was "easier" to pay us and I suspect he was concerned about getting a poor performance rating if he asked for a manager. I requested a manager anyway and after some time was spent discussing the issue the total on our bill was fixed - but won't post to our card for 2 days. Despite the crazy process of fixing the bill, I seriously question the management of this place. Servers don't just offer to pay a customer out of their own pocket out of convenience, they do it because of being worried about managements reaction. This server was the best I've had the last 6x I've been there (yes even despite the same issue occurring). This is my SIXTH time at top golf and the SIXTH time I've had serious concerns about the wait staff and overall management. So, I did it, I tried you out again Top Golf... my question is this - what are you going to do to make this right? This is a pervasive pattern of poor service.... read more

Do NOT bother using the waiting list app on your phone. We put ourselves on the wait list. We arrived and they said it would be about an hour. After an hour they said maybe 30 more minutes. After an hour and a half, they said maybe another 30 minutes. We got drinks at the bar. At the 2 hour mark, they said they didn't really know how long it would be - maybe another 45 minutes. We gave up and went home. Why have a wait list at all? The app is wrong. The employees at the front desk have no clue how long the wait is. They shouldn't even have the wait list - they should just say they are full and not taking any more people. Why keep stringing people along? read more

We went to Top Golf Sat night 10/17. I reserved a bay for 6PM one week ahead. Got a text that day@5:45PM to confirm. We checked in right@6PM but we waited until 6:20 before going back to hostess asking what was taking so long. They said they forgot about us and told us to go to a lower level open bay with a high top table. The bays were separated by a clear plexiglass hanging from the ceiling which is good for a sense of semi privacy. A server greeted us within 5 minutes for our drink orders which is great. There were just 3 of us, my husband and I with our 15 year old since our older teens had other plans so the high top table was plenty space. I would prefer the bays with couch next time if we go again. Heaters was a must since it was chilly out. The dual facing screens for both the golfer and spectators was appreciated too. My Bloody Mary was bland, and no olive as menu described, garnished only with a slice of lemon and a lime. My husband's bud light draft would have been better in a chilled mug but that's personal preference. Food: They both liked the Smokehouse burger( kitchen can opt for cooked "pink" or well) Server said he doesn't get that either,LOL. Burger was juicy, prob MR-M (when opt pink), fries were regular cut with skin and crispy delicious. My Cobb salad was smaller than most although the grilled chicken on top was tasty. I left out bacon and cheese and instructed to add cucumbers but that didn't happen. We tried injectable donut holes. They tasted like Churro balls. You can choose 2 fillings out of the 3 but they ran out of the Bavarian cream filling so we picked chocolate and raspberry filling. Pricey but fun. Server was attentive and he came by when our time was down to 15 minutes asking if we want to extend by 15 or 30 minutes. We had chosen 1 hour so we extended another 30 minutes. Overall good experience. It's not cheap but it's entertainment. *For people that want to truly social distance. Note: Place is PACKED! read more

Top Golf is the epitome of casual but also classy date/work event/birthday party/friends hanging out. The atmosphere is inviting, seating is comfortable especially with heated bays in the winter time, clean, the food is pretty bomb, and the drinks are reasonably priced. Made a reservation well in advance when we arrived a few mins we were told they had no idea when they expect our bay to be ready. They had a lot of walk ins. The kid behind the counter estimated 45mins to a hour or more but he had no clue. What's the point in making a reservation if walk ins can just circumvent the process. The reservation costs money walking doesn't. To pass the time we sat in the restaurant, it took over 20 mins for a server to show up. Top it off the restaurant was full of folks in our same predicament. read more

Went here last night with friends. The atmosphere was fun, however the service in our bay was severely below par. We were brought food that wasn't ours. My burger was brought to me without cheese, then they brought a single slice of cheese out to our bay, the wrong cheese. We were served entree without silverware. Drinks took 15 minutes to be served and our waiter was no where to be found. Asking him to clear empty plates from our table was hard and he only cleared half and never returned. When a drink was brought to us without a straw, he blamed the barhelp as being new. I'm not sure what's going on but it seemed very disorganized and the food wasn't cooked all the way. My burger was supposed to be medium and it came out rare. read more

Went to the Loudon location on Saturday the 13th at 5pm. Multiple complaints from my group. First, I was told that it was 30-45 min wait, but expected for a Sat night. Went 5 mins later to see about getting 2nd bay, then was told 2 hr wait, due to "reservations". As she is explaining to me that my single bay slot was 2 hrs, I get a text that my bay was ready. Nobody on the same page there at customer service. I had 11 people, and was told only 6 allowed in bay and 3 people can sit at table behind bay. My other 2 people were told they weren't allowed there, and to go away and sit at bar. We were able to "borrow" 2 extra seats from bay next to us, but again told that when next group comes in, we have to give up those 2 chairs. Lastly wasn't allowed to extend our playing time beyond an hour, due to Reservation coming in at our bay. We're spending lots of money on food and drinks, plus the overcharged $63 per hr fee, and then told "time to go". In all of the years we having been going to Top Golf, have never been treated like this, and will never be going back. The 3 asst mgrs, need to find work elsewhere, as they kept eyeing us, and Top Golf needs to end the Reservation system. Absolute joke. And overpriced. Getting my group, chased away was humiliating, and they didn't deserve to be treated that way. NEVER AGAIN. We were then to enjoy companionship, golf and fun times, but Top Golf took That away. read more

I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to golf but this was so fun! We went on an unusually warm day in December but we still needed the heaters on. I don't know that I would got when it's below 50 degrees even though they have heaters. I'm a terrible golfer but I still had a great time. We were a group of 4 and the game definitely malfunctions when it comes to keeping track of how many balls each person hit and the scoring. That was annoying but we were just there to have fun. They should definitely work on that though. The service was ok. I feel like it took a lot to get the waiter's attention and they didn't really check on us often. Topgolf is a great place for golfers and non-golfers alike! It is especially a nice place where you and your friends can just hang out and have fun. When I first tried out the Ashburn Topgolf, I was amazed at how much nicer it was in comparison to the Alexandria location. Standing in front of the building from the outside, one may think the structure of the building resembles that of a parking garage. Still lovely, nonetheless. The food selection is offers the average finger foods: wings, burgers, sliders, etc. which are pretty good, to a point. Good, in a sense it's conveniently there. It's not amazing food, no is it anything I'd actually crave. I can definitely find a more delicious (and cheaper) burger elsewhere. The food is also rather pricy for the quantity of food. One night after I arrived, I went over to the desk to inquire of a bay on the top floor. They said it would be about 20-30 minutes, so naturally I gave them my card for them to put my name down and made my way to the bar. To wait with some friends. When they swipe your card to reserve a bay, they have access to your phone number, where they will text you once your bay is ready. After 30 minutes, I went back to the desk to check out how much longer it would be. They said that the bay was currently being cleaned and that it would be about 5 more minutes. After 15 minutes of still no text, we ended up taking a bay in the middle level. I didn't get a single explanation as to WHY we weren't given a top floor bay like I had requested. The service at the bays are better and faster than at the bar. But that's a given, right? The landscape of the course in Ashburn is a lot nicer than the course in Alexandria. While Ashburn has the nicer course and interior, bigger building, better bays, and more parking, it doesn't have a miniature golf course. To compensate, the third floor has a mini game room that's equipped with Xbox Kinect. read more

We sat at a pub style table in the bar, waited, no service, my bf went to the bar to get someone's attn and a waiter finally showed up. He ordered wings and I ordered dessert that was just NOT good, the smore something or other which I expected to be warm and goey but it was hard and they used Fluff instead of fresh marshmallows. We came here to celebrate my sister's birthday. We reserved a bay at 5:15pm but we came a little early so we waited by the bar and got a few drinks. The moscow mule was great and the Mai Tai's and Hard strawberry lemonade were delicious! A few minutes after getting our drinks, we got a call telling us our bay is ready. It's a really nice area. The seats area is well-heated. They have it separated from other bays with plastic wall and they sanitize after each group leaves. The staff showed us how to start the game and introduced us to our waiter, Ashton. We ordered a few appetizers: chicken cheddar dip, tater tots and buffalo wings. The buffalo wings and chicken cheddar dip came together but they missed our tater tots order. We let Ashton know and he tried to tell us that we didn't order it- he just missed it it instead of putting it in, he tried to argue that we didn't order it initially. Not a big deal, but we weren't too impressed with his service. When he brought our tab, the front desk (whom we told we had a military ID and asked for a military discount) told us we should get the discount but I guess they didn't put it in the system. Ashton didn't give us the discount which was kind of annoying because it sounded like he just didn't want to redo the tab. It a big deal, we'll just make sure we reiterate it next time we come because we truly enjoyed our experience - the facility was fun and entertaining but the service was just not on par in my opinion. I gave it 3.5 stars overall but I'm willing to give them another chance. read more

Top Golf is the best!!! I've only ever been to the Alexandria location and haven't been for a while, since I didn't have many friends who liked to golf. Now I have new friends! haha just kidding I love my friends, but I have met some new people who love golfing or just plain hitting the crap out of a golf ball haha. They planned a get together at this location and man, was I wowed! It was massive, clean, new and just a place I could see myself going to a lot. One thing I was worried about was how cold it was that day since I have only ever been during warm weather, but my friend told me they have heaters that'll keep us warm and to my surprise she was right. I felt nothing, not even a cold breeze but the warm air, that is until I was next to hit. When I say a while since I've been golfing, I mean it has been years. But hey they have really nice and new looking golf clubs, of course my favorite was/is the driver.... I still got that swing, ha! We ordered some food and they were all delicious, but the one that stood out more was the mac and cheese spring roll. Yes, it is mac and cheese IN a spring roll *mind blown* (well at least mine was). I really enjoyed my day at Top Golf and now am a member (I'm sure everyone is but I'm still gonna think I was chosen okay?) The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it did take some time to flag someone down for anything, drinks, food, help working the system, our waiter was going M.I.A at times. It seemed busy that day I think, so hopefully that's the reason. No worries, we'll be back again. I have to keep working on my swing! read more

Very fun for the whole family! We went on a Saturday morning and it was pretty busy. We were able to get the last booth on the 3rd floor so that was nice. Facility is clean, employees are friendly. I had no idea what to expect when going so these are some things I'm going to keep in mind for next time... - Come early if you want a 3rd floor booth on a weekend. - They offer food and drinks, and have a server that comes to your booth. - Buy a membership card thing for everyone so we can keep track of everyone separately ($5 each) - An hour goes by fast. Maybe do two hours or get two booths if 6 ppl are playing (6 is limit per booth) We will definitely return. Just wish we had one closer to home. read more
