Our initial visit to Top Golf was during a weekday morning with our 4 & 2yr old daughters. The overall experience was excellent. The staff was accommodating by adhering to our request and placing us on the bottom level because of our young children. We ordered the breakfast burritos, and I honestly believe Top Golf may have the best burritos in Loudoun County. The golf games are fun, but it's a challenge to enjoy them with young kids. Therefore, we elected to come back to Top Golf on our date night without the children, and we were excited to taste the dinner menu since the breakfast was delicious. Our experience was quite different for dinner. We started at the bar, and my wife ordered a Moscow Mule & a mixed rum drink. She was none too pleased by the flatness and watered-down drinks. Next, we ordered appetizers: grilled wings which have a decent flavor, but they were room temp at best, and the queso & guacamole dip taste incredibly bland. We lost confidence in the dinner menu and elected not to order any entrees. One excellent highlight of the evening was the golf game was fun as usual, and the music was extraordinary because of the diversity for all crowds to enjoy on a Friday evening. What an awesome place. Food not great, donuts are pretty good, beer's good and cold, and service was prompt. The golf games are a blast! I would give this 0 stars if I could. We went here for a birthday, and we heard this place was better than the one closer to where we live. The main problem was how absolutely freezing it was. It was cold outside, yes, but the heaters were too distant or not powerful enough to do anything. At the other topgolf, the heaters were much better. But we were understanding. We did come on a very cold day. The worst was inside. It felt like they had no heaters on at all. We were shivering! By the time we left, my knees were aching from how cold it was. We had to eat our food completely bundled in our winter gear. I felt so bad for the employees. They shouldn't have to work in winter jackets, scarves, and mittens. That's cruel and ridiculous. It took an extremely long time for our orders to be taken, and then even longer for us to receive our food. We got wings, and veggie burgers. The veggie burgers were good, but the wings were just barely warm. Not to mention we had to ask a manager where our food was. Guess what? After we talked to the manager, the food came out very quickly...Then we had another long wait for the check. We like topgolf overall, but we just had a horrible experience at this one. read more

We like to go to Top Golf for family fun. However, the last few times, it has become increasingly frustrating due to things that do not need to be taking place. First of all, they need to keep on top of the ball cleanup. When the place is on a 45 minute wait, clearly the lanes are busy. If this is intended to replicate some level of golfing experience, then it should not be like playing billiards with balls hitting off one another to get into the holes. This is crazy! The first few months they were on top of their game. Now there is a lazy level of ground maintenance. The quality of the food has always been good and we always order food here. Today, we noticed that the wing orders were skimpy on wings but much more carrots and celery. We were disappointed because they tasted good and only wanted what they used to serve. The Nachos were nice and came with a smattering of sour cream and guacamole. How does one turn over their nacho to get some of these accompaniments? When food is ordered, the server should drop off some appetizer plates and roll-up napkins/flatware in preparation of hot food coming from the kitchen. This never happens. Food is delivered and we always have to ask the food runner for plates and roll-ups. Now the food is getting cold while eventually, after asking a few people. We had 3 in our party and he brought 6 appetizer plates and 2 napkins. No flatware. So still nothing to be able to use for the sour cream and guacamole. Hummmm, why do we need to decide who got the napkin and who did not? There is no reason except for a lack of training, management and perhaps a shortage of equipment. These things are such easy fixes but they are always so delinquent. The staff is always high energy and friendly. They really are capable of shining, if they are taught some basics and monitored. The last incident from today was the extra $1.00 that is programmed into their point of sale system. I was there with 2 kids and requested that the Jalapeño peppers be placed on the side with the Nachos. Not for extra Jalapeños! I asked for this to be removed from the check but did it need to happen? Please Top Golf Ashburn - get back on Top of your game like you were in the early days. Train, train, train .... monitor and do not make the patron have to stay around having to manage what should not be programmed in your register. I would love to hear back from management if they are interested in well-intended feedback from a patron that wants to come more often if it is a dependable experience. Thank you. read more

Bar service while we waited for a bay was extremely inattentive. Our original bartender was missing in action for some time, and then forgot to bring drinks we requested. Others picked up the slack for her, but the bar was not busy at all, so I'll rate the service a C. When we were paged to check in for our bay, they sent us to a spot that had already been occupied for some time. After some confusion, they located a bay for us, and all was well. (Might be a good practice to have your employees keep the cell phones put away when they are working.) I think shift change occurred while we were playing, since once again, servers appeared sporadically, and it was tough to get a drink. Do NOT get beer in pitchers here! They come with this ridiculous thing in the middle that is supposed to keep the beer cool. But it takes up as much space as a full beer, so you're really paying for something you're not getting. (And what do you do with a pitcher? I decided to go here because I've heard a lot of great things about how fun it is. Parking is a bit overwhelming, but there are random golf carts being driven by staff to get you to the entrance...that is if they see you or you can catch them. As soon as you walk in, you are met by a concierge that guides you to the proper lines (first time golfers needing a member card or returning people requesting a bay). The member cards only need to be purchased once ($5) and they are used for score keeping. When I initially went, a friend and I only used one card to randomly hit balls, but I think it's worth the splurge and makes the games more fun if everyone has their own cards. After you obtain your card, you then go wait in line to find out your bay assignment or get put on a list to wait on a bay to be available. There is a seat yourself bar/restaurant that you can wait in and the food is decent, a pool table on the lower floor, a foosball table and xbox Kinect on the upper level to keep you or the kids occupied while you wait-but the chances that they are available depend on how many people are around. You are charged by the hour so this can be costly and there are a variety of games that can be set up. When you're escorted to your bay, you are assigned a server that explains everything and sets you up. They are also available to answer questions, give you pointers or if things with the equipment go wrong. Overall, a fun place to hang, even when you don't know a thing about golfing! read more

Not sure if they're only good to people when they're busy but it was dead on a Wednesday afternoon and after sitting down, absolutely no one shows interest in our table. Even after going up to a worker and asking for a server, the worker looks at us as if he did not comprehend us requesting service. All we wanted was some food and was super excited to getting some top golf food since it's normally so good, however, this is the very last time I will ever go here and I will definitely let others know that this is not the top golf location to go to. I believe the manager was just sitting in the booth behind us as if we were invisible. I can't believe a place of such high ratings would do this but I see that these workers are very lazy and do not attend to customers. Great place to come with your friend on a weekday or weekend. Weekends are usually packed so if you don't want to wait for at least a 1-2 hours, I recommend coming during the weekday. Pricing varies btw $25-$45/hour depending on what time you show up. Location wise is a little bit far away from the DC area, but coming here once in a while is still worth it. They got a bar, pool room, tvs all over the place, and a great menu. I tried the Crispy chicken burger which was delicious, and also tried the quesadilla and buffalo chicken flatbread. Terribly disorganized and very mediocre service. We planned a birthday party there and when we arrived they said we didn't even have a reservation. I showed them mY confirmation and they took us to 2 bays where the heat was broken, and said that heaters don't even help. After many requests they finally moved us to two open bays that had heat and it was much better. Will never host a party here again! read more

I loved coming here with friends and family. The prices are high especially for food to quantity. There are a few things that left a bad taste in my mouth. First, you have to be extremely lucky to get a bay every friday and saturday night between 7-11pm. We went two weekends in a row having to turn around and walk out the door due to it being full. We had initially walked in in hopes to get playing right away. They told us it would be 1.5-2 hour wait so we went and had dinner, and made a reservation for a bay online. When we get there, they cannot find any reservation or anything and told us there must have been an error and that there is nothing they can do to help us. Not to metnion the wait is still 1.5 hours. Ahhhh Golfing and drinking....the ubiquitous sport that is socially acceptable to play while completely hammered. The pairing almost seems natural, and this establishment takes full advantage of that fact with this place. You cant ask for a more fun night out with some friends. So grab some balls and go whack em to hell with some great food and some good booze. Just be prepared to wait for a bay during prime time hours. We came here at 5 on a Saturday and waiting about an hour and a half before getting our bay. The service is awesome, this particular facility is more advanced then its Alexandria counterpart. I hope that one day, they will start accepting online reservations so that you can book ahead of time and show up and play. Our servers were super attentive, the chef came out to personally talk with us about our order (we have some food intolerances). The game selection is better than other TG locations I've been to, as is the pricing model. Amazed at how fast they respond to complaints from their customers. They truly show genuine hospitality and care for them by doing that. Since it is such a great place to hang out with your friends, and I had left my car keys there I returned a couple days later and they truly went above and beyond to make sure my friends and I were happy! Their food, as typical, was amazing. Try their injectable donuts! Their wings were amazing this time around, my friends and I were happy about this. What truly turned around the unpleasant experience I had last time was dealing with both managers named Chris, haha! Terry, our server was amazing as well. The three of them showed genuine care for us. I loved how responsive they were about my lost keys. They quickly were able to locate them! We brought our clients here for a work event and it was so much fun! The staff was super great at explaining how the game worked and getting us all setup. I am not a golfer and was able to play and get points. It was a chilly day but the heaters kept us warm. I have a gluten allergy and was a little nervous I wouldn't be able to eat anything. The chef personally came out and went over the menu with me and was so nice and eager to help. He was very knowledgable about allergies and there were so many gluten free options to choose from. I ended up getting a gluten free pizza which was pretty good. The staff came over several times to make sure I was ok and our drinks were always full. The golf was fun and the place is beautiful but the staff was really what made our time at Top Golf five stars. read more

The Topgolf facility is very nice. It is clean, modern, and fresh. Once you buy a $5 membership card, you are assigned a bay with your party. There are several games you can choose from. I personally think TopScore is the best but all of them are fine. The only downside with the technology is it sometimes glitches. Many times the golf ball wouldn't dispense or the score wouldn't register. It got very frustrating but without the technical issues it was pretty fun. The employees were somewhat helpful but not the best. The food, on the other hand, is absolutely brilliant! We had the Bacon Mac-&-Cheese Spring Rolls appetizer and the Chicken Nachos appetizer. Both were delicious. The spring rolls might just have been the best appetizer I've ever had. Five stars for the food! Overall, a nice experience (expensive), but nice. I've been to this Top Golf several times and honestly the experience was great until yesterday. Some white/Asian girl was out waiter and she was extremely rude. Not only did she take FOREVER. She blamed us for things that was not even our fault. For example, she was taking forever and we couldn't order food before our time was up, once we ordered it was already like 30 minutes until our game was up because she once again took forever. THEN she proceeds to tell us that our game is over in 7 minutes after the food arrived that exact moment LOL! Once my boyfriend asked her if we can stay in the bay for a little she said no because it was our fault for ordering food late and that it was not her problem. She was extremely rude and rushed. I hated our experience. Also! The food runners cracked my screen on my phone because they dropped a drink on it ALSO CAUSING my Tory Burch bag to get completely drenched in alcohol. I did not hear an "I'm sorry" they walked away and didn't clean up anything. This was by far the worst experience and it was my sister in laws birthday which was pretty embarrassing considering she deserve to be treated like a queen all night! This place is a blast! Can't beat an evening out at Top Golf slamming some golf balls and earning points while you do it! It brings a great bit of competitiveness that a driving range has always needed. Top Golf also has some fantastic food. From what I understand the menu changes a bit from location to location. I'd definitely recommend doing desert as well. The injectable donut holes are out of this world! Whether you go in December or the heart of the summer you can be comfortable for as long as you are there. Yes, it is an expensive option for any day or night but worth the experience for sure. If you become a regular... download the app and keep track of your scores. My only issue with this Top Golf location happens to be a big one. The software and/or computer systems they use are pretty bad. On multiple occasions I have had the computers freeze up on me without any resolution. The staff ends up moving me and my party to another bay and tells us to have fun. Once was fine but multiple occasions just really stinks. Hope they get this worked out soon. read more

Takes way too long to get to play. They tell you 15-30 minutes, so you end up going to the bar / restaurant to buy food and drinks. Then tell you again after 45 minutes it's another 15-30 minutes. They were not operate all of the bays. Our visit were some bland nachos and we just decided to leave after our 15-30 minutes turned into nearly two hours of waiting while there were plenty of open bays we could've used right in front of us.
