I'm reviewing the facility and our interaction with limited staff. The venue is huge. There are 2 areas for "disco" bowling, I say that because well it was dark and neon-y(is that a word). When you enter from the outside you will come into a huge billiard room, bar and the game rooms. There are some arcade game scattered throughout the venue. Staff is almost non-existent as indicated by other Yelp reviewers. We did come across a nice staff member who offered to help us register for a bowling lane but we were only touring the venue. Ambience and service was good. A decent place to entertain the kids with bowling, arcade, etc. Food was sub par. Ordered the appetizer sampler which came with southwest egg rolls that were good. The loaded bake potato was dry. The sweet potato fries were soggy. Ordered the loaded nacho platter. The cheese sauce was bland and I couldn't even tell it had cheese. The ground beef was not seasoned. Seemed like they just crumbled left over hamburger meat on it. Both items seemed like it was sitting under a heat lamp just drying up. The only descent food was the pizza the kids had. I did tell our server and the manager came over to offer us a whole pizza to go for the issues. Even that they manage to screw up. They said it would be waiting for me when the family finished at the arcade. 30 mins pass by and it was time to leave. They just started the pizza in the oven. Very disappointing to say the least. I'd say skip the food and eat somewhere else in the mall. It would have been more satisfying to eat the bourbon chicken combo they sell in the food court. read more

Overall, the places is huge, but rather on the expensive side for the arcade with each game running on average eight credits which makes a $10 purchase of 40 credits. Only five games. The food was subpar pizza didn't even go to the edge with a huge crust and our nachos were cold. Overall the service was good but refills on soda were not included, and at four dollars for a 12 ounce soda with lots of ice doesn't seem worth it. I would not recommend this to groups. read more

Very impressed. We went to Dulles Town Center Mall and remember as a kid going to Sears. This location is now occupied by 810 Entertainment. Which is a large entertainment venue featuring bowling, arcade games, axe throwing, and sports simulators, alongside a full restaurant. The worst claw machines i've ever seen in my life as someone who is competent at claw machines. They all have insanely loose grip and shake violently on the pull up, which is normal and expected but the severity is worse than normal. Almost all of the timers are also wrong, they will say 60 seconds and then drop randomly after 5, we tested multiple times with multiple machines. Tons of people call claw machines a scam and i've always held true that it depends which ones and USUALLY arcade ones are pretty fair because its a big reason why you are there. I tried every single claw machine there and they are all genuinely terrible and scams, i've never seen anything so pathetic in my life. I cant imagine how many poor kids will lose their allowance to these broken and loose machines. Just sad. To leave on a positive note the basketball game is super fun and well worth your time and money! One of the better ones I've seen at an arcade! read more

1st time at 810 Entertainment (Sterling locarion) and was disappointed overall. I picked this spot due to hearing of all the different activities & figured I'd bowling wasn't a go there would be something else if interest. To start, layout is a little "all over the place". Most of my party entered through the entrance near the bar / pool tables. There was no customer service or signage to guide you to where you need to go to get started. Upon locating the "front desk", speaking with the host "Asiaya" was the only real assistance my party of 12 received all night. She was informative & helpful in getting us started. 8 of us went bowling & 2 played pool. Once the money was paid & shoes were received, service was non-existent going forward. We got to our 2 lanes, one of which was covered with dirty dishes from the previous users. No bussers or staff in sight. Being the only players in this section, we quick straightened up so we could get started with our games. The scoreboard were very easy to use. We got all the players in & the games began. After about 15 minutes we realized no servers had been by to take our order. I walked around the n asked the bartender who informed me he could not take our order. I then, found a lady in a red shirt who seemed like a supervisor or manager. Overall, I asked her twice about sending over a server & another of my guests also spoke to her once about never receiving a server to order food. She replied each time that she would send someone... to no avail. After 35 minutes of bowling, realizing we wouldn't be ordering food tonight, I returned to the host station hoping to speak to someone but noone was at the desk for a good 10 min or so. Our party range from ages 6 - 69 & it was difficult keeping the younger kids focused on the game with no food or drinks. Once the game was done, we promptly left to eat elsewhere. Would've loved to comment on the food but unfortunately didn't get the opportunity. Some in our group did order a drink from that bar that was 'meh'. My sons warned me not to come but I wanted to give the place a chance & what I saw was what they warned me about. This place was disorganized & understaffed. We did the arcade portion of the place and were pretty disappointed. About half of the machines we went to let you tap the card and took our money and then didn't work. Some other machines half-worked. We walked over to the axe throwing area and were surprised that the axes are just hanging there with no staff to be found. Seems like a safety issue in a place full of kids. I can't speak to any of the activities that require booking a lane but this first overall experience left me unimpressed. read more

I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience my family and I had at Sterling 810 Entertainment during my son's 16th birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived, we were underwhelmed by the lack of attention and organization. We were simply pointed toward our lanes, with no staff member available to ensure the area was set up or to help us get settled. After waiting ten minutes for the lanes to be activated, I approached the front desk for assistance. We had brought a birthday cake and asked if it could be refrigerated, but were told our host would handle it--yet our host did not acknowledge us for another 25 minutes. It then took an additional 20 minutes to receive beverages, and the food did not arrive until a full hour after our scheduled start time. Throughout our visit, locating any staff member proved to be a challenge, and when we did, they seemed indifferent to our group's needs. To add to our frustration, I requested a pool table for the parents in our party, only to be told by the front desk that no pool sticks were available, despite more than three-quarters of the tables standing empty. The lack of equipment made it impossible to enjoy this amenity, further diminishing our experience. Finally, although I had reserved the event for 20 children, only 15 attended. I asked the manager if the cost could be adjusted to reflect the actual number of guests, but was told that the responsibility lay with us for booking more than needed. Overall, my experience at 810 was one that lacked greatly. From how long it took to be acknowledged to getting food and beverages. The entire experience was poor at best. I will not be recommend this establishment for any future events. read more

The place has a lot of potential however we went this past Sunday and I was disappointed. For reference we did the arcade, laser tag, and mini golf. The arcade is a bit pricey for what it is. There aren't a lot of games with the majority being claw machines. The space is super open but for an arcade that's wasted space. It needs some pinball machines, Mario kart racing, the coin droppers, and a few others to make it really enjoyable. Otherwise it's mid and isn't worth it. The card readers were quick and only 1 game was out at the time. They do need more tables so you could ideally have drinks while you're playing. The laser tag arena is set up very nicely. It was only the group of us 6. The barriers were great, equipment was nice, and the arena was large. The lady helping literally sat on the floor. Each round is only 6 mins though but you get 2 rounds. It was really confusing as the place is missing signs. No one was working their stand and we had to go to the main desk to figure it all out. The mini golf also had no signs. It's in the very corner and you have to go out what looks like the outside (it isn't) and it's cold. It's alien themed and actually could be cool. However there are no tables, the number signs had already broken. There was several boards that came loose. It also needs a little more lighting. Again though you had to get everything from the main desk and it was overly confusing. It felt like we shouldn't be there as there aren't signs to tell you where to go. The place was under staffed. We almost left just waiting to make a purchase and it wasn't busy. Finally the person showed up. The ticket redemption area was barren. These are for kids and the lollipops were spicy. Barely any options as most things were completely empty. This place could be amazing. I think it needs a little more work, some more staff, and some attention to detail. I hope in time it can reach that point. Get some laser tag competitions, pinball leagues (pinball is worth it), and bowling leagues and then we're talking. read more

We had a fantastic time at 810 Entertainment in Dulles Mall watching the Super Bowl with friends and playing a few rounds of pool. Later that evening, I realized my wallet was missing and returned to check if I had left it there. Mike, the General Manager, was extremely helpful--he immediately contacted his staff and reviewed the security footage to see if my wallet had been misplaced on-site. Luckily, I eventually found it at home in my garage, but I was very impressed by Mike and his team's hospitality and genuine care for their customers. Excellent service all around! read more

All in all, a very weird experience. You walk in and everything is out of place and it's very open. Feels like an amusement park but with no signs. Minimal games that half were broken. Can't find any staff. The pool tables aren't leveled and look 15 years old. Bartenders couldn't make a green tea shot when it's literally something they advertised for being cheap.. mini golf is very hard to find. Feels like walking into a back room. The laser tag is the same way. I walked into the arena and nobody stopped me and no doors are labeled. This place needs to go out of business asap and someone else needs to step in and do this place right.. maybe the zone should make a comeback read more

When I first found this place I was pretty fired up at the potential for a great family entertainment spot, that excitement was quickly diminished. After three visits, I'm hoping whoever buys this again one day, once it goes out of business, will do it right. 60% of the equipment/games are already broken, and the place is severely understaffed. The death blow is the abysmal bartending service. They're more interested in looking busy than actually being busy. Came in for a drink and ended up staying way longer than planned -- and honestly, that's thanks to Marquis, the bar manager. He brings great energy, keeps everything running smoothly, and makes you feel welcome the second you sit down. Drinks were on point, service was fast, and the whole bar just had a great vibe. this is the worst bowling alley I have ever been to, trash all over the ground, ground was to slipper, also the owner is very rude.

First someone else was in our bay... they are not numbered! We had to find someone to turn on the bay for us which was fine. Then we asked for a waiter straight away and 30 mins into the game still Noone came. I have now been waiting for almost another 30 minutes since we decided to go up to the counter and order food (we were told 2 times that a wiater will be over and fyi its not very busy) still no food. We have our drinks which got delivered about 10 minutes ago. The service is not the best tbh. Very slow and it seems like you have to constantly follow up, having said that I think I will go follow up on the food AGAIN! read more

For a place that is under-staffed and falling apart, $55 an hour to play excluding food is kind of a scam.
