Our second time visiting Spinners, but first time at the new location. The new location is so much larger. I hope to see them fill out the space with more games in due time. We were greeted as soon as we entered and the staff was friendly and personable. Very welcoming. We visited on a Saturday night and it was not too crowded, leaving us with plenty of options to roam around and play any games. My old childhood favorites brought back memories...Galaga and the finger blistering Track & Field. They are located in the back area next to the movies. There is plenty of parking available. They currently sell soft drinks and I was informed they will soon have their liquor license to sell beer. read more

I'm always looking for ways to have fun without going to bar or going out to eat and spinners provided just that. They have two rows of pinball machines, old and new. They also have lots of arcade style games. All the games are set to free play and you pay one entrance price at the door that gets you all day access. I know this moved locations from north Frederick to the westside to a bigger location. I've only been to the old location, but the new one is even bigger, so I imagine is even better. I went 3 times in March 2023, July 2023, & January 2024 with a Meetup group based in my county, Anne Arundel, a far cry from my home just over 50 miles, but worth the drive out here. The 2 times I went in 2023, I carpooled with others. The time I went in January 2024, I was already in Gaithersburg, so a lot closer. The group that went is a games Meetup group, which posted to do a shorted game day and leave around 6:30 PM from Glen Burnie at that time in March 2023. I rode with this very tall chick who I had some interest in. Unfortunately, on that over hour drive out there, the conversation with her was pretty stagnant and realized she probably wasn't a good match for me. We arrived and you paid $15 to get in. I was nice and paid for hers since she had driven the over 100 miles roundtrip. This place was cool. Unlimited games, lots of varieties of pinball machines from 1950's to now, skeeball, 4-way air hockey table, & other arcade games like Mortal Kombat, Simpsons, & more. The group mostly stayed until closing time at midnight on that Saturday night. The woman who drove said she was very tired about an hour before closing time to coordinate me riding with someone else back. They sell drinks, alcoholic & non-alcoholic as well as snacks. The group had ordered pizza from Papa John's in the same center, which was could The Meetup group decided to do this as separate event on a Sunday in July 2023 & again in January 2024. I had a girlfriend from the group for a few months in spring-summer of 2023. There was some miscommunication with her as I had thought we were carpooling together, but she had assumed we were just meeting there. But when I texted her that afternoon, she said she didn't realize, but was at Walmart by Arundel Mills and to meet her there. I had bought her chocolate at Walmart as an apology for the miscommunication. She was kind of cold & expressed she was pissed about it. Sunday, January 14 was my friend's birthday, where we had a lunch for her, and then we went to a movie in Gaithersburg. I had gotten to the Meetup a little late and told that it was at capacity and we'd get a call when we could get in. Some were in there already enjoying games. But someone else from the group who arrived at a similar time as me walked in the bitter cold to explore the area. We got in after about 45 minutes of walking around. We enjoyed the games per usual. I look forward to trying the new location at some point in the future. read more

We checked out Spinners today and had a really wonderful time. The staff were very friendly, and we paid $20/ person for unlimited playtime. I appreciated the dim overhead lighting and lack of loud music, and the variety of games kept myself and my young child (7 yr old) entertained for hours. I also appreciate the flexibility of leaving and coming back as needed. The bathrooms and overall facility were clean and everything felt well organized. We will be back! read more

This is it. It's far, but this is what I've been looking for! Ever since Tilt in Toronto, I've looked for somewhere where you pay a reasonable cover and get unlimited access to all games (and even consoles), with the ability to come and go as you please. Depending on the day and time, you pay anywhere from $7.50 to $15 for all day entry. It didn't look like much from outside, but once you enter it's heaven! The first thing you see is the register, which is beautifully decorated itself, and then a bunch of pinball machines and racing games right beyond it. Beyond what you see initially is air hockey, DDR, a bunch of arcade machines, retro console setups, and much more! I really appreciated the fact that they have a low-sensory quiet room. It still had games, but it was chill -- loved it! Another thing I appreciated is how much hand sanitizer was distributed throughout the arcade. I appreciated the desire to keep things clean! They don't have food, but are surrounded by it, so you can step right out to take advantage! They offer several bottled and canned drinks you can purchase of the alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties -- just make sure you don't have them on the machines -- we don't want them getting messed up! I could go on and on about how I felt like a kid in this place. They are moving now -- if I only I had come sooner so I could literally enjoy Jamaican food right next door! I can't wait to see their new space... it's going to be bigger and better! read more

Great place to spend an afternoon! It's inexpensive (we spent $50 for unlimited play for 4 people; staff even said we were welcome to leave and come back if we wanted). We spent about two hours playing all our favorite games and had a blast! We were never without a new game to play in that time, but should note there were a number of machines that were out of order and during the time we were there, all the skeeball machines unfortunately broke down. This place is so much fun! Don't be fooled by it's meager exterior. Pop right in, and you'll be immediately forced to say, "Wow! It's a tardis-- so much bigger on the inside!" There are pinball machines, old school button mashing machines, skeeball, air hockey, and the coolest game may have been the 3D TV with various versions of pinball. We (a family of three with an 8 year old) spent 5 hours playing, and my daughter definitely plans to go back. The way the games are laid out, it doesn't feel crowded. We got there early-- with hardly anyone else there. By the time 3 or 4 rolled around, there were plenty more people, but I didn't feel scrunched (it's covid-times people, this matters). They do sell beer and soft drinks, but I highly recommend walking across the street for a brew from Midnight Run. And then come back. They stamp your hand so you can leave and come back. A dream come true. A wonderland. For those of us who spent a fair bit of time in arcades in the 80s, Spinners is a blast from the past. A vast selection of pinball machines (40+) and standup video arcade games (probably at least 30) keeps the fun going. To boot, the price is a bargain. Fifteen bucks for all you can play (from 10am to 10pm). I spent 3 hours, and that was enough time to play over 60 games (roughly a quarter a game, just like back in the day). The staff members were very friendly. All the customers were in a good mood. There were always available machines to play. Even if a machine you wanted to play was taken, it didn't take long for it to open up. They also serve drinks, which you can carry around as long as you don't put them on the machines. Spinners made for a fun date night activity after dinner. We went on a Tuesday evening and had the place all to ourselves. The games are plentiful, all types of pinball machines, various arcade games, Ataris, Nintendos, and air hockey. For just a $10 donation you get unlimited play. My favorite part about spinners is they give back. There's a huge room of old arcade games waiting to be fixed. Volunteers get to learn how to fix machines and then newly fIxed ones head out to the floor. In addition, they work with kids with autism and sensitivities to get used to loud noises and lights. read more

This place is honestly a great place to go for having a good time with a group of friends or if you just want to play old pinball or arcade games. The reason I'm leaving a 2 star review is because one of the staff members treated my friend and I who are in our 20's like literal children. They have an air hockey table set up, this table had the incorrect puck on top of it, one of the employees proceeds to pick up the puck and yell at us saying "THIS PUCK IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE" he stormed off, grabbed a puck from a different table and slamming it on the board. As a customer I shouldn't be blamed for an incident someone else has done previous to me visiting. We left immediately after and then he tried to be all nice to us. read more

This place is amazing. My family - 2 kids and my wife recently visited - because it was 4 of us - it was 10 dollars a piece - UNLIMITED play of every game in the building. We slept on Spinners because we didn't know what to expect...and we were blown away! I regret waiting so long to come in. My husband, my 9 year old son, my 5 year old daughter, my 2 year old son and myself came in this morning to donate an IKEA couch. I wish we didn't have the kids because I wanted to play! They had games from my childhood (Street Fighter, Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Galega) games from my 20s bar life (Golden Tee, Megatouch), TVs set up with every gaming system I could think of (NES, SNES, N64, ATARI...) plus Skeeball, Air Hockey, Foosball and more. I love that all of the games are FREE PLAY! No coins. No tokens. No cards to swipe. There are clean bathrooms, seats for lounging, STEP STOOLS for the little ones. This place is perfect for those of us who grew up in the years between pinball and Super Nintendo. It's super fun, safe for all ages, and very affordable compared to similar places. Make sure you have at least 3 hours to truly enjoy the facility. Heck, we spent an entire hour on Donkey Kong Jr alone because it's still challenging and fun 30 years later. Bring the kids, they need to experience games that actually allow them to fail and have to start from the beginning avoiding making the same mistakes (a forgotten bonus of gaming in a pre save-point world with unlimited rests). And if you're going to drink alcohol, which is perfectly ok, please remember that there are families and young children around; curb your language and show the basic respect your parents taught you to use in public spaces. We went mainly for the pinball, but there are lots of others games, like video games, skee ball, air hockey. As with any modern arcade, there are lots of machines around in various states of repair. What a blast from the past! This place is great! This was our first visit as a family and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The games are all unlimited play, so no need to bring quarters or keep track of tokens. They have dozens (maybe 100?) of pinball machines, some air hockey tables, about half a dozen Skiball games, and a handful of 2-player driving/racing games like Daytona USA. Of course they also had most of the "classic" arcade games too. We really appreciated how clean the facility was. They also had sanitizer bottles everywhere. Pinball machines are great, huge selection. But the many of the arcade games need their joysticks and buttons repaired.

I was across the street doing some thrift shopping when I noticed the wafting fragrance of a Caribbean restaurant. I point this out to my girlfriend who quickly spots the real treasure across the street, Spinners Pinball. Now, we've been to a few Pinball spots in the last few months and this one, potentially due to it's serendipitous discovery, is our favorite. They have a large selection of new, classic, and throwback games. The pricing to pay and play as much as you want worked well for us. While we probably spent twice as much as we usually do at a pinball arcade not having to carry around a pocket full of quarters or stress about having a bad game was way more than twice as fun. They sell beer. Someone is gonna smell... herbaceous and that's cool with me. The guy working the counter is the most pleasant unpleasant person I've ever interacted with. I'm sure he's more polite to folks who like polite people. 5 Stars fa sho. I can't think of anything I would improve. We went on "league night" and it wasn't as annoying as it's been at other places. read more
