I would give this experience a 3.5 rating…read more I enjoyed the experience overall, but there were several tech issues during my allotted time - audio wasn't working, headsets weren't fully charged, etc. The person running the experience gave us some extra time to account for the tech issues, but it definitely took away from the enjoyment. The games also don't really have good tutorials when you start them, so it took some time to figure how to properly play most of them. It's about $50 per person for an hour of game time, which seems a bit excessive for what you get. It's a cool experience to try once but not sure I'd do it again for the same price.

Here is the skinny: the game is a screen that covers 3 wall spaces. Too many people and they're in the way. We had 9 the room with 6 playing. We did have to constantly move out of the way during play. The staff were kind, accommodating, informative and just super cool! We appreciated being given instructions on the best package and the best games for our group's dynamic. Because it's a screen with no tangible objects, we probably won't go again, but this is certainly a cool experience for one time or to return to if you have huge discounts.

There are sensors in the game that tells you when you get too close to someone else but I do question the accuracy. Cool part too is if you just watching, you can see what they're seeing as well as them wandering around the floor. they also provide stats of your game and it gets emailed. Lost a star because while we were playing, there was one worker who must've been talking on the phone or to someone else that we could hear on our game headset. Which distracted from the game. we don't want to hear your side convos. Also I think a different worker was legit yelling at us and called us dumb for not understanding where to go next. That's pretty rude when the arrow lines aren't obvious jn some points of the game. We were in a group of intermediate and beginner gamers. Dont have to yell at us. We also reserved this time about a month in advance, and one of the VRs was broken, so we had to break our group into two different sessions. Tip - bring socks with a sticky grip bottom! They don't flag this to you prior and you are forced to purchase theirs.

Without giving too much info away if you choose the deadwood valley theme you will have all type of things coming at you. It was a great shooting game. One thing that could be improved would be the customer service. Once we walked in we did not know what to do or where to go. We had to search around for someone to help us. Also, the staff wasn't great at explaining the instructions. Think he assumed that we knew what to do. However, it was a great experience. Definitely check it out if you are in Tyson's Corner.

This was my second time here over a year ago and I did the previous Deadwood, which is filled with zombies and other strange creatures. The graphics are crisp and pretty realistic, to get you hopping around, panting, and sweating. Just like any video game you move from a new level to the next level, which comes with a change of scenery. We went from a creepy lab, a meatpacking conveyor belt, to boots on the ground fighting in a zombie war zone! So much fun with many more surprises and features I'll let you discover for yourself. I felt it was long enough towards the end, I start hoping the goblins would stop coming. Perfect amount of time. They give you a keepsake video which is edited with everyone's gamer names, a recap of the scores, highlights, and who your team's MVP is! Great for bragging and talking ish over dinner after the game is over. It is pricey about $65 per person, but it's not something you'll do every weekend. It truly is a unique experience, because this is the only chain in the DMV. The staff is polite and do a great job of explaining the rules and how to wear the equipment. Definitely arrive 15 minutes early, especially if you've never played the game before. I will definitely comeback for a 3rd experience, the more people for the spooky Deadwood Phobia, the better!
