We recently visited during the week, and it made such a difference. It wasn't overly crowded, which definitely helped, but what really stood out was the staff. I don't remember the gentleman's name, but he was incredibly kind and attentive. He came by our table multiple times to check on us and make sure we didn't need anything. At one point we spilled something, and he quickly came over to help clean it up. He even asked if it was okay to spray the table before doing so, which I appreciated. We've had some not-so-great weekend experiences here in the past -- overcrowded, no parking, long food waits (once we waited almost two hours for pizza and they ran out of items). Weekends can be chaotic. But this weekday visit? Much smoother, pleasant, and enjoyable. If you're planning to go, I highly recommend going during the week if possible. read more

My girl turned 9 and we had her party here, SUPER easy. I got the 2nd tiered package, we had 10 kids. The party host was on point, I also ordered their cake, it was nicely decorated. Much easier to have them do the cake, it was $24.99, it was the larger cake. Pizza was good, the slices were TINY, but it was a good size for kids! The table had party hats, cups and plates. We had two hours for our party. The package I got comes with 2 slices of pizza per kid and a pizza for the adults, kids drinks are included and it came with dippin dots ice cream. I believe it was the best value package. They allow for 2 no shows, meaning you can get reimbursed if 2 kids don't show up. I wish I had thought of doing a kids party here before. The place was clean too. Having to pay extra for the trampoline was extremely disappointing. I had paid for the package and it should include all the games/activities. That's the reason I picked Chuck E Cheese instead of Urban Air. It would have cost me an extra $180.00 to pay for socks and admission for the trampoline for all the kids that attended the party. This Chuck E. Cheese is probably the cleanest Chuck E. Cheese I've ever been to. Turn our time there. The manager was walking around cleaning and dusting off the games and making sure the restaurant was up to par. The floors were vacuumed and clean. Even the location near the soda area was very clean. The staff was very aware of what's going on in the restaurant and everyone was on their toes. We ordered two large pizzas and wings and everything turned out great. This location is a place I will visit more often. read more

We have gone to a couple of birthday parties here so far, and it's a great experience for all of the kids. The parents... eh... it's okay for what it is. I mean, it's designed with kids in mind, not adults, so just know what to expect going in there. The food is mixed. The pizza is honestly a lot better than expected. It's a tad salty, but otherwise it's much better than it used to be. The salad bar looks really sketchy, though. I'd be very cautious approaching it. They have a wide variety of soft drinks, which is nice. They don't really have a lot beyond pizza and salad for actual food, though. The games are pretty fun, standard far mostly. A lot of them are ticket-based, meaning you're trying to earn as many tickets as possible. Many of those are games of chance, though, so not exactly very fair or fun if you're looking for skill-based instead. But, where they excel are the non-ticket based games. They have a zombie blaster that uses actual water! Chuck comes out for parties, and he visits the entire floor, which is great. But, you're at the mercy of whomever is in the costume, which can be anywhere from engaging to bored. The entertainment in between live shows is pretty standard big screen stuff. Nothing too over the top. Overall, it's a pretty fun time for the kids. Parents might be bored, though there are some games at all age levels too. And hey, who doesn't love a good game of zombie water blaster? So, if you still have that inner child, you should also have a pretty good time here. read more

Disappointing experience ordering pizza to go from this location at 8pm. When we arrived to pick up the order the doors were locked before 9pm when it stated it would close. People and employees were inside, although no one noticed me trying to get in to pick up our order. This was about 10 minutes before 9pm. I had to then call the phone to get an employee to open the door for us and go inside. Unfortunately it did not get much better from there as they said the order was not received, even though it pulled up on the register immediately when the employee checked for it. From what I could tell, the employees were closing up well before closing time and our order seemed to simply have been ignored. This was definitely frustrating as there were not many food options besides fast food open at that time. The employee did apologize, but then seemed unsure if she could even do a refund since it was through the app which really did not make any sense to me as the restaurant appears to encourage using the app to make an order. The order was voided, so we'll see if the charge goes away or not and I have to follow-up about it. *Update, the order was not voided and I was charged for the food I didn't receive as well, so I will need to call and try to get this removed. In addition, I used a promotion to get a free large pizza as part of the order, so that is most likely gone now too. I did ask the employee about it, but she didn't seem to know if it would come back on the app or not. Just a very disappointing experience overall, and I would recommend not ordering to go from this location or ensuring it is well before closing time at the very least. Will probably return since my kids enjoy it once in awhile, but would probably just get food there In-person based on this experience. Thank you. read more

Extremely clean and all the games worked like they should. The food was really good, though a bit on the expensive side. That being said, we have the summer pass which offers 50% off and made the cost of the food reasonable. The staff is really nice and everyone was accommodating. I took my son here for a birthday party a few months ago, and I decided to return last Friday to start his Spring/Easter break. Plus, it was a gloomy rainy day and I needed to get him out and about to run around and play. We went early afternoon which was great for us because, there wasn't many people and that way I can keep up with my son running around playing. We had a good time. The pizza was delicious and reminded me of when I was a kid. I even bought us the cups with the straws, and I was informed that you can bring them in with you on each visit, and get free refills when you return. So that was good to know. Great place to take the kids on a rainy day! Staff is always pleasant enough. They updated their menu and the pizza and wings are pretty yummy. The place is clean considering how many kids are running through there every hour. It looks like they may be upgrading to a "card" system instead of tokens. That will be disappointing. Its Chucks...what do you expect? I will say this, we had a very affordable birthday party for my 5-year-old and I walked out on the mess in the end. It was hectic, fast-paced, and full of children, but it worked. Our hostess Teela ( I think is her name) was GREAT! She moved us in out and around. She made sure we had everything we needed and then some. Mike the manager was friendly to me and the whole family and there were a lot of us. We had nearly a 3 hour party at our table and then a little extra time at another designated area that they let us use! I have no complaints about the party services that they offer. Let me preface by saying we encountered some very nice employees at this location who went above and beyond to ensure that my son had a good time. One lady game him a free game just because as she was walking by. This was a blessing because we had trouble with 3 different machines throughout the night so he felt down on his luck, but this was such a kind gesture and put a smile on his face. Another employee gave him a few extra tickets on his count because we had to wait so long to cash ours in including waiting behind a family that jumped ahead of us. The young Man at the ticket counter apologized for this and gave my son these extra tickets. Again this was not necessary, but a truly nice gesture. We visited this chuck E Cheese on a Saturday night around 7:00PM. I say this so you know that it was very busy and that is why although the next 2 things were an issue I only took one stay away. The drink station was in much need of a cleanup and 2 out of the 4 bathrooms in the ladies room were unusable. As far as the drink station goes I watched two different employees use it and neither did anything to clean it up or ask anyone else to. I was there for around 45 minutes after that and it still looked the same. Drinks were spilled on the lids and there was a sticky substance (probably soda) all over the straw dispenser. Someone had thrown paper towels in one and another had some sort of liquid (most likely urine) all over the seat and floor. Another toilet just had a wet seat so I cleaned it up and used it in order to keep things moving which was not the most pleasant experience. I understand the employees are not directly doing this, but I seen one use the only clean restroom while I was in there then just walk out. Back to the better part of the visit it is one of the upgraded Chuck E. Cheese's that uses the cards and points system as opposed to the tokens. I like this because it is easier to keep track of how much play you have left and also keeps us from dropping our coins. Also the game are and tables were very clean when we were there. This was our second time visiting this location, but the last stop was 5 1/2 years ago for my son's first birthday. I remember enjoying that visit just as much and the fact that it was nicer than many other locations. There are certain locations we refuse to take my son to because of their condition so it is great to be able to count on a location to get it right. read more

My kids like the place, but they aren't too discriminating. This location has been repeatedly understaffed. For the past 3 times, I've had to wait for 7-10 minutes at either the food counter or the prize counter because there was only a single employee working both counters. The teenage staff has little enthusiasm and too little regard for hygiene (one minute their handing out toys only to then walk over to take your food order and hand you your drinking cups, they go directly from clearing trash from a table to bringing out food and pouring ice into the soda machines). There's no staff circulating among the games helping the customers with issues. The games rarely change. Not only are there games with "out of order" signs on them, but (worse) there are always games where you lose tokens because they are out of order without a sign. Last time, we posed for a picture at the picture kiosk, only to have no picture come out, a ticket eater was out of order, the horse-riding game was out-of-order, etc. The skee ball and "Deal or No Deal", however, are good values at one token each. The prizes for the games are cheap; a lot of it could be called garbage. They need to lower the "cost" of each prize. You could spend $20 on tokens and earn tickets over the course of an hour and walk away with prizes worth 50 cents. Of course, the kids do have fun during the hour, but for not much more than $20, I could buy my kid an all-day ticket to Six Flags. The food is also low quality. The pizzas have cheap ingredients and are unusually moist on the underside. The fries are ultra-thin and frequently taste bad (when they have any taste at all). When you order food with one of their meal coupons, the cups they give you are like large dixie cups - just another side of this place's cheapness. Overall, Chuck-e-cheese has a clear business plan: understaff with teenaged workers, low quality food, low quality prizes, and hold onto the same old arcade games for as long as possible - but attract young kids with the Chuck-E animations and figures (and the same old videos over and over). read more

My grandkids absolutely love to come to this location. Very clean at all times, it can be busy on weekends but that's already an obvious thing to imagine. New management is nice and friendly staff makes it pleasurable to come back to this location. Chuckie always comes out and giving hugs and tickets which makes my grandkids excited. Pretty much what you'd expect... Felt understaffed, but clean, quick food service, and ok way to spend some time out with the kids. Good mix of games for all age groups. Only thing that was confusing is I'm pretty sure the guy who made our pizza handles the prizes and is also responsible for fixing the game machines & refilling their tickets. We just had our daughter's 6th birthday party at the Frederick Chuck E Cheese. I was so pleased with how everything was handled and the party was seamless. Our party hostess Lea even called me a few days prior to make sure all of the details were correct. She was so attentive, pleasant and great with the kids. In addition to the fantastic service from Lea, I was also greeted by the restaurant manager and on duty game attendant so we knew who to go to if we needed anything. All of the games were working fine, the food was really good, the restaurant was very clean and most importantly my daughter had a great time. I would highly recommend this venue for anyone considering a bday party here. Two side notes, we had our party at 11:00 am on a Sunday, not too crowded and there is also an online incentive for extra tokens for parties booked on a Sunday. read more

Usually I like to say that this cec is the best I've ever been to but unfortunately they let me down a few weeks ago when I had my sons birthday party there. I had my sons 2nd birthday party at this cec a few years ago and since I had such a great experience i decided to do it again for his 5th Birthday. I purposely go all the way to Frederick than the one in Gaithersburg which is a lot closer to me because I have had a better experience in Frederick but after my last experience I don't think I'll be coming back. I placed my order online and someone called to confirm it a few days before and was laughing so loud on the phone when talking to me. Obviously there was something going on in the background because you could hear a lot of talking and laughing. Then on the day of the party we get there 30 mins prior to the party and they were setting up( understandable because we got there a lot earlier then we were supposed to) we got greeted and walked to our section. I didn't like the fact that the person who was setting up our table was touching the tips of the straws that the kids would be using with dirty hands that's gross!!! Maybe 20 mins after my party time our other table hadn't been cleaned yet! So my party and I had to hang out until they got cleaned. But that didn't happen until my sister went to tell them to clean it. After placing my order online and confirming it over the phone you would think they would get it right but no the girl forgot to place an order for one of the pizzas the sandwich platter and wings took a bit longer to come out and it was just messy! I took my two kids to Chuck E Cheese last night for a school fundraiser and we had the best time. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and the pizza was better then I remembered. They had a ton of fun games for children of all ages and I felt like my kids were safe the whole time we were there. At the end of our fun evening my son ended up breaking the toy he selected with his ticket winnings and one of the employees gave him a new one without me even asking. I thought that was so sweet and it made my son very happy! I will definitely go back and thank the employees for going the extra mile! read more

This is our first kid and first experience having a Chuck E Cheese birthday party, so truth be told, I was a little apprehensive. We went with the "Mega" birthday package for four 3-5 year olds, and I have to say, they did NOT disappoint!! Our hostess, Tracie, was absolutely amazing. Super attentive, friendly as all get out, and very genuine. All of the staff had smiles on their faces, and whoever was in that costume playing Chuck E Cheese totally made my kid's day, giving him high fives and a hug. :-) It was exhausting, of course. The place is designed for the kids to have a bangarang time - not necessarily to keep parents amused. However, all the kids had a blast and left the party with huge smiles on their faces. I had my sons birthday party here. I was not expecting to be blown away, but I was expecting better service. My party helper kept disappearing. I had to hunt her down every time I needed something. The order of the party was not explained clearly either. My boys were going crazy after pizza and the party helper made it seem like cake was right around the corner, so I kept them near the table instead if sending them to play. After they had been going crazy for a few minutes I could not locate my helper and went up front to ask. The girl at the register said she would get her. Five minutes later the girl at the register had not moved so I went back and asked her if my party helper was supposed to just disappear and she said yeah pretty much. Once it was time for cake my server cut too much cake (she obviously was not paying attention) and the disappeared again. i had to track her down to do the pinata. I was not a fan of the service. When I got my bill they overcharged me $31.25 and gave me $30 cash and said the $1.25 was credited back to my card. Two weeks later I have not seen the money. I called them about it and they said I could come in to get the money, but it costs more in gas to get there! The boys did have fun, but I would not recommend this place for a party, I have had much better experiences elsewhere. read more
