Very nice minor league ballpark in Frederick, Maryland. It's hard to say no when the walk-up price for seats behind home plate is only $15. Good seats, quite comfortable but better because we were able to spread out with empty seats between us, despite being in section 101 row E. The announcer called attendance at around 4000, which is a stretch. The stadium seats 11000 and it wasn't even close to a third filled. Pros Announcements were easy to hear on the field. Bathrooms were clean and there were enough stalls and urinals in the mens room. The very nice lady working one of the beer stands was very nice. And yes, she checked *everyone's* ID. Easy to get around and not very crowded. Free parking! Cons No discount on beer prices for being minor league. They're still $8 to $10. Tip: Park way away from the field. It's minor league - there are going to be lots of foul balls.

This is one nice ballpark with excellent views. I did find a bad seat in the place. The "upper level" seating is not an actual upper level but the top half of the main seating area. You use the same steps to reach both levels. The suites are located behind home plate and end at the dugouts. The rest of the stadium is open Closer to home plate is reserved seating with fold down chairs. Further out are general admission bleachers. Neither the concourse or seating area circle the ballpark, the ballpark ends at the outfield wall, with the scoreboard placed outside the stadium. The stadium has one scoreboard and one video board. Both looked outdated. The stadium was a little less than half full, but it was extremely hot. The fans were into the game. Apparently it's a tradition to shake keys during the 7th inning. That was fascinating even if the team was named after Francis Scott Key. There was a cooling station where mist fell on fans.

Beautiful park. Fun crowd. Get a 1/2 pound burger and a more than foot-long 1/2 pound hotdog from the stand thats near the end when you turn to the right after entering the stadium. Last night the game was ended by rain after the 7th inning (the Keys won 2-1), and night's fireworks were canceled, but they're usually great. There are also special events. One included Bryan Votaggio bringin some Volt food action to the stadium. Nice!

Went to my first minor league game ever last weekend and LOVED it! The stadium was jam packed to the point that only standing room tickets were on sale when we arrived at game time. I heard that's not normally the case and the crowd was mostly there for the cowboy monkey rodeo (yes, cowboy monkey rodeo) and post game fireworks but it was a great atmosphere. The concession prices are not minor league, let me tell you. Aquafina is $4, just like at Nats Park. You can do a little better on beers though... A large beer at the Brewer's Alley stand is $8.75 but you can only get the one local brand they sell. I tried a Maryland chardonnay there for $6 that wasn't very good but that's what I get for ordering wine at a ball park. I remember other stands selling Flying Dog, as well as the usual imports and domestics. Ticket prices are pretty cheap, though you pay $3-4 more if you buy your tix on game day instead of ahead of time. It was a pretty close game and the Keys won in dramatic fashion in the 9th after the opposing pitcher walked the batter with the bases loaded. During and after the game, there were performance by the cowboy monkey rodeo, which is indeed cowboy monkeys riding dogs and herding sheep. After the rodeo, there were fireworks that lasted about 10 minutes and were way better than I expected. Another cool thing is there's virtually zero traffic around the stadium and extra parking at the school next door. It was a breeze to park and leave after the game!

We even were able to see Jackson Holliday play--when the Orioles infielder was doing a rehab stint at the Keys. Love the Junior Keys' kids' club--where kids get 3 youth tickets, a fun zone ticket and other swag. The grandkids loved giving high fives to Keyote, the mascot--and especially loves running the bases after the game. It looks like there are a lot of fun upcoming promotions--so we are looking forward to many more trips to the local ballpark!

I'm not sure if it was because of the event, but it felt pretty disorganized. The stadium itself is nice, and the upgraded seating was worth it. Concession lines were long as expected, but they moved fairly quickly this time. It was also nice to see more access to ice cream stands on both sides. The biggest disappointment was the kids' zone. They've changed it to an $8 wristband system, but the activities were very limited and repetitive -- mostly variations of throwing a ball into something. There was minimal staff, and it felt unorganized with kids not really taking turns. For younger kids especially, it wasn't worth it. On the way out, there was a foam/bubble area that the kids enjoyed, but it was pretty messy and not well-managed, especially considering the cooler weather. That said, staff were friendly, and my daughter still had a good time overall. And the baseball game was exciting. I'd come back for another game, but would definitely skip the kids' zone next time.

I am absolutely appalled on the service and professionalism that was conducted at the café 611, Me…read moreand my team had an event in December at the venue, we paid their overpriced fee for space in FREDERICK MD due to having complications with our prior venue. Not even an hour into our event, I had noticed the security at the door being aggressive with the patrons, At our events we invite a community made up of our friends, loved ones and locals that share ideals and beliefs, such as PLURR and Decency. So this off rip didn't sit well with me. I understand someone has to do their job and in fact would want everyone to be checked and ID'd/verified before they enter our show for safety and legal reasons, So I will never get in the way of stopping staff from doing that as their job. What really spiraled the night out of control was when one of our own staff from our collective who we had as a greeter at the door looked uncomfortable so we went to go check on her and she had told us that a secondary man next to the security/doorman who was also checking people in had made inappropriate sexual comments such as asking her to sit in his lap because she looked tired of standing while gesturing towards his genitalia, this happened in the entry hallway. (being dressed up and looking good is not an invite to be inappropriate, we condemn that disgusting behavior to the highest degree). This combined with multiple other patrons complaining about being touched inappropriately as they entered and paid. (This second man, the security/doorman's brother wasn't even authorized to work and was allegedly fired months ago from Café 611 yet he was there "working" with permission from the owner) when I fully heard everything from multiple people. I walked up to the security and asked them to please not be aggressive with our patrons, as mentioned before these are our friends and family coming through and I personally love these people to death. The secondary man then proceeded to get aggressive with me, threaten me and tell me that he would take me out front to the street and kill me, To quote exactly what he said "I don't knock people out. I put them to sleep permanently. Would you like to go outside? Let's go outside" me at this point, I'm absolutely bewildered and the situation escalating (my only words to them in this entire exchange in front of 10+ people was simply asking if they could not speak to our patrons in a condescending or aggressive way) the customers that were entering the building and knew nothing about the situation unfolding were the ones that had to be the to step in between and try to pull him away from me as he was standing up to put hands on anyone that angered him. I let things cool down and walk away. I proceeded to address my issues with the person in charge of that night, immediately he was dismissive, but told me he would go over and talk to security. He walked over and I watched them speak. They shared a couple laughs for about 30 minutes and the man Hung out for another hour after that before he decided to leave on his own accord. At the end of the night when our event was over, not a minute after, right on the dot. Security and the Manager started yelling obscenities and telling everyone to get the **** out and made a comment about white people for some reason? Which left everyone uncomfortable and confused because this room was as ethnically diverse as it could get. Me and my entire staff went to have a full conversation about what had happened that night and recapping with the owner but he defended his "staff" even after having multiple (7+) patrons independently complain about being uncomfortable, he ignored any accountability, harassed us for his money while we were actively breaking down and loading all of our equipment into our vehicles outside because at that point it was clearly the only thing he cared about. demanded we pay him their split without any reasoning or understanding that the funds had to be transferred. Started acting like we were trying run off without paying him because we demanded a conversation about accountability first and then when it was all said and done shut the door on us so we couldn't return. I will never in my life come/promote/attend/etc here ever. This place has a bad history and I wanted to believe it wasn't true and still try to work at the 611 because good venues in the Maryland scene are hard to come by, but everything everyone has said about this place unbelievably correct. You all should be ashamed and know good and well this hasn't been your only instance or situation.

My daughter got "the treatment" when she transferred to the studio (she was a top-notch dancer) and refused Donna's suggestion that she join "the company" (the elite competition girls). We had moved studios because my daughter wanted to concentrate on her education, and just wanted high-quality classes without the time obligations. In ONE semester, the owner managed to destroy my daughter's self-esteem and self-confidence, and kill all love of dance in her. In hindsight it is apparent that she was brutally taunting my kid, although my child was scared to tell me until I finally witnessed something myself and started questioning her. (I am NOT a dance mom). When I talked to Donna, she blew me off and told me that even though my daughter was in all the same classes as the "company girls" she was excluded and was an outsider, because she wouldn't commit. The level of vitriol from this woman was spine-chilling, and I pulled my daughter immediately - never even finishing the performance that evening and the next. I found out afterwards that Donna (who taught the classes) would single her out and humiliate her in front of the other girls, calling her stupid and clumsy, and encouraging the other children to mock her. Mind you, my daughter was the top of her classically-trained school before she transferred in. Because of the genre switch, my daughter assumed that SHE was at fault, and worked even harder, but this horrid woman would single her out the next time. It has been almost 8 years since that happened, and my daughter has never danced since. I would avoid this place at all costs. YOUR kid may never get the sadistic treatment, but it trickles down to the other dancers. They never actually shunned my kid, but many other dancers were treated poorly by the other kids. It's just an environment that is dark and unpleasant.
