This was my first visit, and the classic décor immediately set the tone for a charming experience. The venue is small enough that every seat feels close to the stage. From the mezzanine, we had an excellent view and clear sound. The sold-out matinee of The Nutcracker was wonderfully performed and well choreographed, especially impressive in a more intimate space. Seats were comfortable, though legroom is a bit tight--but manageable for a two-hour show with intermission. A side exit conveniently connects to a nearby parking garage, which was a nice surprise. I'd happily return for future performances and gladly spend more time exploring the downtown area.

The classes fill up quickly--the studio appears to be very popular. I know the director does her best to accommodate special needs children as well, which I think is wonderful. I usually sit and wait while my daughter is at her class, but I know the parents with older kids often leave and come back...lots of places nearby to go--the studio is right in the historic district. There are small TVs set up inside so that you can watch your child's class. The waiting area is somewhat small and can get crowded, but not a big deal. I find the other parents to be very pleasant and sometimes they chat--I usually also bring a book. Parking is very limited--if I am running late, I usually have to find a spot on the street.
