Avoid this place at all costs! The owner of this studio (Donna Grim) is a cruel, vicious woman. I…read moredon't mean that she is tough on the dancers, I mean she is sadistic to some. My daughter got "the treatment" when she transferred to the studio (she was a top-notch dancer) and refused Donna's suggestion that she join "the company" (the elite competition girls). We had moved studios because my daughter wanted to concentrate on her education, and just wanted high-quality classes without the time obligations. In ONE semester, the owner managed to destroy my daughter's self-esteem and self-confidence, and kill all love of dance in her. In hindsight it is apparent that she was brutally taunting my kid, although my child was scared to tell me until I finally witnessed something myself and started questioning her. (I am NOT a dance mom). When I talked to Donna, she blew me off and told me that even though my daughter was in all the same classes as the "company girls" she was excluded and was an outsider, because she wouldn't commit. The level of vitriol from this woman was spine-chilling, and I pulled my daughter immediately - never even finishing the performance that evening and the next. I found out afterwards that Donna (who taught the classes) would single her out and humiliate her in front of the other girls, calling her stupid and clumsy, and encouraging the other children to mock her. Mind you, my daughter was the top of her classically-trained school before she transferred in. Because of the genre switch, my daughter assumed that SHE was at fault, and worked even harder, but this horrid woman would single her out the next time. It has been almost 8 years since that happened, and my daughter has never danced since. I would avoid this place at all costs. YOUR kid may never get the sadistic treatment, but it trickles down to the other dancers. They never actually shunned my kid, but many other dancers were treated poorly by the other kids. It's just an environment that is dark and unpleasant.

As a former student of Dance Unlimited (10 years in the company and 13 years at the studio), I am…read morethankful everyday for the stellar pre-professional training I received under the careful watch of Donna Grim. Not only did I gain invaluable technique training from Donna and other fabulous teachers (namely Ms. Gayle-- the resident Ballet guru), I also learned how be a compassionate, team-oriented and driven person in the world. Yes, the classes are challenging. Yes, hard life lessons are learned on the dance floor, but I wouldn't trade my years with Donna for anything. I was encouraged to cultivate a passion for dance at Dance Unlimited that has stayed with me my entire life. The community that is created by Donna and the other teachers is one that is irreplaceable. I still keep in touch with many of my former team mates and their parents! My training at DU has paid off-- as I am now a professional in the musical theater industry-- represented by a great NYC agency and working in regional theaters around the country. Dance Unlimited is a save haven for those who love to dance and want to get themselves to the next level both personally and technically!

I appreciate the fact that Elite Feet Dance Studio is the ONLY dance studio in Frederick that hires…read moreall of its instructors with Dance Degrees and or Education Certifications. Ensuring that your child is receiving proper dance instruction so that not only they will have a positive dance experience during his/her time at Elite Feet but also your child will be able to walk and function as an adult. My experience as a student was very positive. I felt that the teachers were supportive and realistic of each and every student within his or her capabilities. I was also pushed not only physically as a dancer but artistically as an artist, specifically during one of their offered summer programs. They had dance artists from New York City come and teach master classes, allowing the students to have that experience without the costly and time consuming drive to NYC. It really helped me prepare for college dance life and what to expect for dance in the real world and not just the "studio life". Elite Feet has a great balance of recreational dance and serious dancer opportunities. It appears they strongly feel that the arts such as dance, should be accessible to as many kids as possible and therefore offer a variety of classes for all ages and levels. Starting from the beginning and little kids all the way to advanced and older students. The studio is very popular and their classes, especially summer classes fill up quickly. The most rewarding fact is the strong sense of community that has been established by the owner and teachers. The realistic expectations that the owner and teachers have for their students in the competition world set their students up for success and helps build self esteem. For example, one of their newer dancers in competition would not be expected to compete with a dancer their same age that has tons more competition experience. Since competition is for everyone and not just "serious" dancers, this allows the student to compete on a fair playing field, and helps build their self esteem. On the opposite side of that, those students who take their careers into their own hand and push themselves to become "elite dancers" are offered the opportunity to compete with the best of the best. This makes each dancers journey individualized, as they should be dancing to improve themselves, which some other studios tend not to do. Having had various different studio experiences growing up I strongly recommend Elite Feet and ensure that they offer technique classes comparable, in level and professionalism, to any of the other GREAT studios within Frederick. If nothing else, come to the studio and see yourself and experience if Elite Feet is the right fit for you.

The theater wasn't overcrowded, the staff was friendly, and everything was clean and welcoming. I ordered the "Shame on Brie" sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious--honestly much better than I expected from a movie theater. My son had the BBQ chicken flatbread and he really enjoyed it too. The food was fresh, flavorful, and definitely a step above typical theater fare. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Between the affordable Wednesday specials, great food, and relaxed atmosphere, I would definitely recommend Warehouse Cinemas in Frederick and will absolutely be back!

Easily one of the best movie theaters in Frederick -- this is my go-to spot…read more The seats alone set this place apart: large, comfortable, fully reclining, and spaced out enough that people can walk by without you having to move. Huge upgrade from your typical theater experience. They also go beyond just movies. There's a full bar, real food (not just popcorn), and everything I've tried has been good -- most recently the BBQ chicken pizza. They also do themed drinks for new releases, which is such a fun touch. I love that they offer $7 Tuesdays (which do sell out fast) and regularly host events. I recently went to their Trailer Fest, and it was a great experience -- tons of previews, food samples, giveaways, and just an overall fun vibe. They also show throwback movies and have a rewards program, so there's always something going on beyond just current releases. Every time I bring someone here, they end up loving it too. It's clean, well-run, and just a really enjoyable movie experience all around.
