Easily one of the best movie theaters in Frederick -- this is my go-to spot. The seats alone set this place apart: large, comfortable, fully reclining, and spaced out enough that people can walk by without you having to move. Huge upgrade from your typical theater experience. They also go beyond just movies. There's a full bar, real food (not just popcorn), and everything I've tried has been good -- most recently the BBQ chicken pizza. They also do themed drinks for new releases, which is such a fun touch. I love that they offer $7 Tuesdays (which do sell out fast) and regularly host events. I recently went to their Trailer Fest, and it was a great experience -- tons of previews, food samples, giveaways, and just an overall fun vibe. They also show throwback movies and have a rewards program, so there's always something going on beyond just current releases. Every time I bring someone here, they end up loving it too. We hear commercials for this theater often so we decided to check it out on Christmas evening. We typically go to Alamo, but decided to try something new. They're definitely more expensive. I usually pay $12-$13 per ticket at Alamo. At Warehouse I paid $35.88 for 2 tickets. The food is pretty expensive, too. The "monster hot dog" (I believe it was called dogzilla) was a regular sized hot dog with some toppings and a SMALL side of chips for $13. Drinks were on the high side, too. Between the tickets, the food (hot dog and an appetizer), a couple adult beverages (one mixed drink and a beer) and one soda we spent $137.85 for two people. The theater itself is the reason for 3 stars. The heated, reclining seats are comfortable and spacious. The spacing between each aisle allows people to walk through comfortably. This theater is about the same driving distance for us as Alamo. I would choose Alamo every time. read more

Their reclining chair may be the most comfortable Ive ever watched a movie in. Totally worth it! They have tables you can adjust to your preference. My first time here! I was dragged here to see the Taylor Swift movie (not a Swiftie), but loved the experience! I hasn't had food like this at a movie theater before. Also the seats?! So comfortable. it made the swift movie almost enjoyable! the beer cheese and pretzels were gone too quickly, I had to also get a popcorn to get through the movie. the popcorn was also notably great. Loved the beer wall and the ability to poke your own on a prepaid card. I was upset that for a new card, there is a $20 minute. Love having this theater nearby heated seats in the winter time are the best. It is a little bit more pricey however, the level of comfort is pretty darn good. For the most part, they keep the place pretty clean. There have been days when it was slow and I came in, and it was a popcorn left on the floor, but that's few and far in between. I wasn't expecting much coming here and I'm not sure why. This theatre is decorated really well and has great amenities like a bar, seating area and self ticketing kiosks. The staff was friendly and the theater was clean throughout. The seats are comfortable, recline and are heated! Parking is plentiful with parking on the Home Depot side and the back side where the main entrance is located. I can't say enough good things about this place. First started coming here during the pandemic and really appreciated how they allowed for social distancing and the precautions taken. I also loved that they featured throw back movies for $5 when there weren't many movie releases. Forward to now--- I still love this place and other theaters can't compare. From the consistently friendly service, delicious food menu, free popcorn and soda refills, as well as full bar and wall of beer taps, this place has it all! My family of 3 come at least twice a month for movies and especially love the $7 Tuesday deal for any movie, any time, on Tuesdays. It was a very cozy theater and all staff are so friendly. They have a bar for adult beverages and plenty of seating area if you just wanted to come and hang out. This past week I got to see a movie at Warehouse Cinema in Frederick, MD. I've got to say it is a pretty cool place! The theater is made from an old warehouse so when you go inside the theater it is very spacious, it is like you are inside of a big box. The theaters themselves look pretty cool too because they make them look like shipping containers, it is a bit small on the inside of the theater compared to a more commercial theater, for example an AMC, has the feel of a "home theater" if that makes sense. I went to this theater on a Tuesday so they had a special in which the tickets for all movies all day were $7, which was a great deal. The food at this location was extensive as well, I didn't get to try any but I saw loaded fries, nachos, etc. I bought popcorn (obviously) and it was $9 for a large bag which was not bad at all. The drinks is where I was very impressed. They have a bar on the side where you can order a variety of cocktails which were priced around $10. But what really interested me was that they have a self tap beer wall which had 28 different pours. The way it works is that you purchase a card that you can put any amount you want on it and you tap the card on the pour you want. Depending on what beer you decide to get changed the price, ranging from 34 cents per ounce for a Bud Light to about 70 cents for a Guinness. The bartender told me that a good amount to put on the card was $20 because it was my first time there, in which I ended up getting four drinks! Which is not bad at all. I saw that they have a deal on Wednesdays for the beer wall for 50% off so I would like to go back and try that deal. Overall I would say it is nice to experience this theater. I still prefer going to an AMC theater because that is my stomping ground and I have the A-List membership there but I would highly recommend coming here to watch a movie if you are going to drink. What a treasure! In Frederick, there's a lot going on downtown, but I don't often think to go towards the area known as the Golden Mile. Now, there's a solid reason to go- this lovely independent theater! This place has to be amazing to open during a pandemic?!? Post-pandemic it's going to be so easy for them! They have all the things to have a fabulous time because the space is enormous. They have plans for the space to be used for other activities, private screenings on a cozier space- soon! There is so much space before the concessions and bar area, I'm sure they will have great events there soon! In the meantime, my favorite part is the unlimited popcorn! It's so delicious! The only problem is I never want to leave the movie to refill it. What's great here is there are 2 solutions for it: 1) get there early and start popcorn eating before the movie, then refill before entering the theater or 2) refill as you leave so you have more snacking in your car, at home or in their lovely seating area. Yum! So good! They also have been doing special popcorns each month. A lot have mixed candy into the popcorn that makes it look super festive! Fun! Free refills too! Yes!! My fav was the use of Old Bay seasoning- you had to try it to love it! Subtle pop of flavor- delicious. I also am a fan of their bar and wall of beer/cider. You need a card that you put money on, then use as needed for the amount you want. It's super cool! Keep the card for next time. Hard cider anyone? Perfect for fall! They make special drinks/cocktails for different big movies too- very cool! The decor is pretty modern, with the cool look of the floors in a comfortable fresh industrial look. Orange and gray also go well- this is a great color scheme. The tables are a blend of wood and metal to add to the industrial hip theme. The seats in the theaters are super comfortable because you can recline them, they have a table that swivels for your food and they can be heated! I wish the backs heated but it's just the seat bottom. Still very awesome. I do wish there was more than one location for the restrooms- they are a trek to get there from your theater. I also wish there were more stalls, but haven't seen any long lines. Post-pandemic when they're busier maybe it might be a problem? Cool looking sinks inside. Sound quality is great, so is the picture. If you can see a movie in the Atmos (spelling?) theater, it's the best. Thank you Dolby. The food selection is pretty impressive for a little independent theater. It's more along the lines of a dine in theater without as much fuss. When you order made to order food, you'll get a pager that will flash when food is ready. Then go to the far left end closer to the bar to get your food. Also a good location to go to seek your popcorn refills. They have flatbread pizza and grilled cheese, so that's fun. I ordered a Cult Classic vegan and gluten free- very cool in my book. I'm not a fan of food other than popcorn at a movie, but had to try it! They do movie specials I think on Tuesdays and also brunch specials too on Sundays. Super fun! Lots going on here for an independent theater. My fav place to see a movie these days!! I should also add the staff are very helpful and nice if you have questions or concerns. I love warehouse and will forever be grateful that they single handily brought life back to route 40. The seats are incredible the only theater where I'll sit front row. Regal remodeled after Warehouse opened and warehouse seats are still better lol they also have a bar and wider selection of hot foods! $7 Tuesdays are CLUTCH.. I just wish the reward system was more up to date and the only thing regal has over warehouse is that they have imax and 4DX but besides that for the casual movie goer warehouse is the easy no brainer. read more

First time came to warehouse cinema since we moved to close to this area. Had a great experience. I definitely like the full bar selection and self serve beer dispensaries. The concession also offered a lot more food selections than the other theaters. The seats were comfortable, especially with the extra legroom. The theater doors had contemporary industrial design to it. Definitely a great place to bring family friends to have a relaxing movie night . Caveat : I normally do not review movie theaters since we do have a home theater so we don't really go out to watch movies a lot, but now, since we found this place where we need to watch a movie outside of home theater, will definitely come back here again. read more

I was just killing a few hours while my daughter did some other activities in Frederick. I got to the cinemas early and hung out reading a book. The only places to sit were in an area with seating for those with food. No one bothered me, though I didn't have any food. It looked like people were enjoying themselves having drinks, relaxing, and eating cinema food. The cinema I went in was relatively small, but it was a good size for the audience you'd expect for the movie. The seats were great. I would likely come here if I lived in the area. read more

Went here on a Saturday night and saw Diehard. The theater is really cool. Loved the building, architecture, and reclining seats with tray and cup holder. The screen was clear. The floor sloped appropriately. We bought tickets easily outside the theater entrance last minute. Tried the Margherita flatbread (aka pizza) and do NOT recommend. The girl actually recommended the grilled cheese and I should have listened; it looked good. My friend got the pesto flatbread and it was better. Drink from bar was ok but pricey. Love this place! They now have lounge seating by the bar area where you can also eat some food from their extensive (not just popcorn menu). Took the family visiting for Thanksgiving to a Friday after Thanksgiving movie. Loved seeing Glass Onion on the big screen, and everyone enjoyed the comfy seats. Can't wait to try the comfy new lounge area where you can enjoy their cocktails (with cool theme names to match whatever movie is showing). This place is our go-to for entertainment! read more

I went with my husband to see Tenent. We bought our tickets online so checking in was quick, but the lady who scanned our tickets did not even tell us what theater number we would go to. We decided to try out their beer wall since they had 28 to select from. I tried to get three different pours and each one was empty. It wasn't my 4th attempt that I was able to find a beer that had not ran out... On top of that when I tried to pour one of the beers I still got charged even though nothing came out. Once we got into the movie theater the seats were very nice. They were leather and reclined. On top of that they even had seat warmers! This is big to me because I get cold easily at the movies. We unfortunately had a group of children sitting directly behind us who were not even watching the movie but talking and screaming the whole time. Every time they would get up, they would jump and grab our chairs. This was super distracting so eventually we told one of workers there. They said they knew exactly who were talking about since other people had already complained. Respectable movie theaters will kick people out if they disturb everyone around them the whole movie. I don't even know if they talked to the kids or did anything about it because the noise from the kids did not stop throughout the whole two hours. Also not even sure if they were actually of age to see that movie. It was PG13 and most looked about 10 and no supervision around. Overall not a good experience. I am hoping it is because Warehouse Cinemas is still working out the kinks because they recently opened. Hopefully things get figured out because this place has potential. read more

The seats are fully reclining and incredibly comfortable. The snack bar has a wide menu of options and the beer garden attached is A+. All that and the ticket prices aren't insane either. So happy this movie theatre is close by, it's probably the best one I've ever been to. read more

What a great use of space for the old abandoned mall in Frederick. We went to see the newest Jurassic Park movie, and thought we would try it out. The theater was packed, but didn't even feel like it since the seats have so much space. They recline and can be heated, which I loved! They also have little tables for your snacks. Speaking of snacks, they have a ton of them. Everything from grilled cheeses to Hot Dogs to specialty popcorn (their seasonal flavor is s'mores). They even have a bar with beer and liquor. I will definitely be trying more of their menu when we return. read more

Let me first say that I am not surprised that this business actually opened and survived its opening during the Covid pandemic. For a business that in a traditional sense makes its profit from costumers visiting the cinema when everyone was talking restrictions, tells you about its strong mission and community outreach. Food & Drinks: I have honestly not visited a cinema with quality and unique food and beverage choices since leaving the south and attending some local mom and pop cinemas. Their food and drink choices are amazing. Cinema Theater Environment: One never knows how one is valued until something does not go right. I can say honestly that we have supported this theater since its initial soft opening and on a limited basis things have not gone as expected. I can say without a doubt that the management (Laurie, Chris and Jeff) and its staff have gone above and beyond on making the situation right. Our family loves the theater and its cleanliness, they really go above and beyond in ensuring that the theaters turned over from movie to movie. They also provide military perks at the concession stand which is unheard of in this area. We feel valued and appreciated. If you are on a budget they also have a $7 any movie all day Tuesday Event, i recommend getting their early or buying your tickets in advance as many community members know of this deal. I highly recommend this theater. read more

10/10 experience - absolutely loved it! The cinema itself is - as its name suggests - warehouse themed, so the interior is very cool. There is a your standard area to order food, but there is also a really nice bar and a self-serve area for beer on tap. The entrances to each theater are also really cool (like cargo containers?) The food was awesome. We got the shame on brie and miggity Mac grilled cheese, the drunken fries, the warm chocolate chip cookies, and the baby yohito (twist on a mojito). Both gourmet grilled cheeses were delicious, but the shame on Brie was excellent. The fries were crispy, well-seasoned, and very hot, and the beer cheese it came with was flavorful. The warm cookies were good - very gooey (not crispy). I like cookies both ways, so it's fine for me either way. The baby yohito was delicious, and I loved how "on trend" their cocktail themes were. It is super fun. The theater chairs were so comfy and they're heated! You can choose whether to heat or cool your seat (or just leave it). I also love that they advertise local businesses in the pre-movie ads (and I believe a lot of their drinks are from local companies). I'll definitely be back. This place is awesome. read more

What an excellent, unexpected find! An independent cinema complex with a post-industrial vibe, west of Frederick. It has a full bar, real food, a large selection of beers on tap, and some extremely comfortable recliners (heated/cooled). Lots of parking, two entrances, a restaurant-like setup where people can linger. It's an airy, spacious, and interesting space, even before you get to the movie, where shipping container doors lead into modestly sized theaters (ours had 6 or 7 rows seats). It's not over crowded, and made for an actually pleasant experience-- like back when going to the movies was an occasion. Nice. The only sour spots: The screens seemed like they could have had a little higher contrast/brightness (10-20%). And in broad pan scenes (like the whole screen is a coherent view that's shifting), it was pretty clear the refresh rate couldn't keep up, sort of spoiling the scene. Action sequences looked fine. I'm not sure what tech is in use for the screens (or if the owners can correct for it). Sound quality is good, and easily fills the theater without being overpowering. There's plenty of space between rows, so a lot less jostling when people walk through. Overall, a great experience, even with the screen issues I mentioned. Would love to see the owners address that, but I'll be back regardless. read more

One of the best movie theater experiences around. Period! The theater is a bit of a drive from western Baltimore County but totally worth it! It's set in an old town center that still has a furniture store and big box hardware store as anchors. When drive to the location it may seem a bit difficult to find the theater because they don't have a signs or spotlights to draw you in like some other theaters. In fact their sign on the main town center sign is a temporary vinyl sign that isn't lit. How ever after you locate the theater signs on the outside of the town center and park your journey begins. It's a bit of a journey because depending on which side you park you may have a longer work than the other (the "back of the town center has the shorter walk). Everything is contactless, so if you haven't purchased your tickets you'll go to a ticket kiosk, afterwards a host will scan the tickets on of your phone. Next are concessions; there are attendants that will take your order including many many options....popcorn, candy, chicken tenders, pizza, etc. Next is a full bar with specialty cocktails and frozen drinks....then there's an entire wall of beer that has at least a dozen different options. A beer garden is also available for use before or after the movie. Alongside the been garden is a lounge type area, it didn't seem that table service was available but it was cool nonetheless. If you can navigate away from all of the pre-movie goodies and towards the theater rooms you'll be greeted by storage container theater entrances! Super cool. The theater room itself is spacious, having assigned seats, reclining and heated seats. The reviewing angles were good as was the theater sound. All the staff that I interacted were very pleasant and helpful. I'll be back! read more

Saw this place on Tiktok and absolutely had to visit. I believe it's Black owned, and it was definitely worth the drive for us (1 hour). There were a few cons. We went to A Quiet Place II, and for some reason they placed it in theater 10 which is right by the entrance, thus had a lot of traffic, noise, and music.... it kinda defeated the purpose of seeing a quiet movie and interrupted some of the deaf experiences in the movie. Secondly, they do have really cute themed drinks and I loved that extra touch, but they are pretty expensive, nevertheless they were both strong so it balanced out. Pros: BEER BATER NACHOS : A MUST! So freaking good. Literally my favorite thing about this place. Also the bathrooms were clean, I've been to many theaters were I was disgusted by the state of the bathrooms, and always makes me wonder about the quality of cleaning in the theaters and kitchen. The seats are super comfy and have both a heated and cooling option that I absolutely loved! Also I believe their website blocks off one seat in between others which is a really nice touch for social distancing! I suggest using the the pour it yourself tap option instead of getting the mixed drinks and will definitely do that next time. This will definitely be our go to movie theater from now on! Warehouse Cinemas has us spoiled! Warehouse Cinemas is located right behind the Home Depot on the Golden Mile. If you're looking for good parking, don't park in the front of the building park in the back, you'll thank me later. :-) Buying a ticket to warehouse Cinemas and getting to your theater is pretty standard in terms of how it's done at other theaters. But what you'll find is that's where the similarities end. Warehouse Cinemas has great seats that not only recline, but have seat warmers, the drinks are always great and when I say drinks, I mean the alcoholic beverages. The food itself is only a little bit innovative, I wish that they did have some healthier options like maybe rice, bowls, or salads. The only offerings are different types of pizzas, nachos, and finger food. They tend to do themed nights and events at warehouse Cinemas, which are always really fun. Most recently, they had a Barbie premier night and they had a drink to match the Barbie and Oppenheimer theme as well as photo opportunities at the entrance. All of the employees have been nothing but wonderful and they're willing to help you with anything that you need. Theaters are kept clean. The only other thing I can possibly complain about other than the mediocre food offerings, are the bathroom sinks, which have the water set to a dribble, the soap is also never stocked, which is gross. Bring your hand sanitizer... I don't think I'll ever go to an AMC movie theater again! Pro tip; bring a light blanket and sweater, it does tend to get cold in the theaters. read more

Warehouse has nice facilities but we drove nearly an hour to see a 6.20 Fabelmans. We get to their automatic ticket dispenser and it tells us that the screening is full. Okay, but is it really, or are we just late for the screening? A human ticket seller might have helped. I saw on Google that they had another screening but the man taking tickets told us they didn't. Huh? I checked Google again. 9.40 screening still there. Tried to buy a ticket that way and it turned into a ticket for Knives Out Glass Onion. Why can't the Warehouse website and the Google page coordinate better? I ended up driving another hour to watch the movie and O that theater was almost empty. Makes you think. Forget Warehouse, Angelika Film Center has all the seats you want. read more

Great concept for a movie theater! This place is so much more than your average movie theater! I don't think I can watch movies anywhere else. Right away, the food, drink, and atmosphere at the entrance had me sold. I felt comfy and relaxed and had a nice spot to hang out while waiting for my show time. The beer wall should be everywhere. Definitely a game changer! We went for a Steal the Pint night, and got a free pint glass when we purchased a beer. The theater itself was stunning. The seats were super comfortable, nice a spaced out, and reclined perfectly; just how I would watch a movie at home. The picture and sound were great, and the staff were super friendly. We have visited Warehouse Cinemas Frederick a couple of times now. The tickets are cheaper than other surrounding movie theaters by a few dollars. But they have an extensive menu of food and draft beers. There's an bar with tons of seating. And the theater seats recline and are heated. The movie going experience is definitely worth it. And the food is even satisfying. The fountain drinks are free refills and offer Coke products. Today we ordered the churros, the classic cult which is a grilled cheese panini, and pepperoni and cheese flatbread pizza. First time visiting and it wasn't anything different from any other movie theater. Prices for drinks and popcorn are ridiculously expensive and the customer service wasn't great. Right when you walked in the person that check your tickets barely smiled and did not have a welcoming attitude. At the line of the concession stand the catchier was worse he just stands there with this frown face that made me feel uncomfortable and that I was bothering him. I got my items and left said thank nothing was said back. The show room was easy to spot and had very comfortable seating, the cleanliness was not great between the seating I was able to see old candy and popcorn from who knows when. Please don't add too much salt to the popcorn it was so salty I couldn't even finish it. The expectations from what you see in IG stories to what you get in person are not the same and they are disappointing. read more
