I'm not sure why I haven't ever written a review for this place because it's one of my favorite places to go for a great evening! The atmosphere is amazing and the activity of golfing meets bowling is also quite amazing! The bays are heated so it's also nice for winter activity and the food is also quite good. If you come on the weekends however you will need to make sure to allow time for waiting because they get quite busy but there is plenty of other things to do such as Foos ball and sometimes they even have life-size connect four and life-size Jenga. If you're looking for a great time Topgolf is the place to be! read more

Top Golf serves its purpose. The pros are obvious: you can golf and relax in comfy chairs with friends and drink beer or other beverages. They have a limited menu of other options as well... Appetizers, sandwiches, wings, flatbread etc. but not a ton of super healthy options and not ideal for vegetarians. The service in the bar area wasn't the greatest. We had to wait in there because it was an hour and a half to wait for a golf bay to become available (no reservations same day). While waiting we ordered drinks and appetizers and they never came. We finally had to go back to the person and remind him. At that point the drinks came but not the food. The drinks were just okay. I had a mojito and I literally had to add my own sugar from the packets on the table. So then I tried the coconut mojito and it was almost exactly the same except with white foam. The Mai Tai colada drink was good though. As far as the golfing goes, it depends on your bay assignment. If you are on the bottom and you don't get some good height on your swing then the ball will just hit other balls scattered around and never go in a hole. Also if you are off to the side then even hitting the ball straight will send it into the sand pit, so aiming in general is a lot harder. For pros none of these things should be an issue but for the novice golfer this impacts the ability to score points. read more

Fun for golfing. Food and drinks overpriced but decent "bar food." Just like everything in Loudoun - too expensive.

My friend and I came to Top Golf yesterday night to celebrate my birthday. We were very excited. We just came by for a small dinner, a drink, and a short game of golf. It was a Sunday evening, I wouldn't say it was super busy, we didn't have a reservation and we received a bay right away on the second floor. When we got to our bay we first wanted to take a look through the menu. They use a QR code to access the menu online, as most places do. It was easy enough to use. We looked through our menu and waited for our waiter to come by. Our waiter finally came by after awhile, to finally let us know that she cannot accommodate at us at all until we start our timer in our bay (LOL!). I have been to Topgolf many times, to this location even, and always our server has been in our bay accommodating us and helping us get set up before we start our game. We did not appreciate this. Definitely made it seem like she was trying to get us out of there as fast as possible even though we just got there not even 10 minutes prior! We put on our time for our game only for 30 minutes. We ordered some food and some drinks. Food was fine, drinks were fine too. But like clockwork, with five minutes left of our time, she let us know that our time was ending soon. We let her know we didn't want to extend our game. She said ok but you will have to leave soon. We gave her a fairly generous tip (25%) but as soon as she got her tip she happily kicked us out of our bay even though we were still eating. She said we could pick up our food to the bar and eat it there. Our waitress was extremely unpleasant and made our experience here unsatisfactory. Topgolf is one of my favorite places, we have never been kicked out of our bay and especially not less than 5 minutes after our timer running out even on busy days. Ugh! read more

Wanted to book a bay for their NYE event. We have family coming into town and this WOULD have been perfect. Unfortunately, it took customer service THREE days to answer a simple question. I was unable to call the location because I was at work, but clearly should have followed up. I had no idea that they would not bother getting back to me on 12/23. After they FINALLY got back to me they tell me NYE reservations were gone. Well, no kidding! I understand not answering on Christmas, maybe even Christmas Eve, but pretty sure there isn't some secret national holiday on the 23rd that shuts down customer service. Very, very disappointed. Shame on you Top Golf customer service. read more

The bar service sucks. Only 2 servers. We couldn't get served. Menus were lost. Took a while to finally get one. No one took our order. It was clear confusion. This ruins what could be a good experience. I would get a new bar manager. read more

This topgolf location is amazing. I've been here a few times before even writing this review but I thought I might finally write something. First off the staff, so awesome and helpful. It wasn't my first time, but my group's first time. They asked questions about the topgolf cards and how to pay for it and every question was answered with a smile. The bartenders are awesome and the wait staff was attentive. When I come to places like this that focuses on golf/drive range itself, I don't expect too much from the food or drinks. Let me tell you, I love the food options they have and the full bars they have. It's a great place to go and have fun with a good group of friends. Even if there's a long wait (which can happen on the weekends) there's still the upstairs outside patio with games like life size connect 4 or Jenga! I would definitely recommend this place. :) read more

Topgolf - I've never been, so I had no idea what to expect, other than my husband telling me "I was sore for two weeks" (great preview, eh?). Arrived at Top Golf on a Sunday around 12:15pm. There was a crowd, but I wouldn't call it crowded. The bar was pretty empty, actually. The place is enormous - a main level with a bar/sports viewing area, clothing/gear shop, and the bays on the bottom level. Top Golf is very airy and quite clean. Our friends arrived a few minutes later and checked into our reservation - we ended up waiting about 20ish minutes for our Bay to be ready. We ended up sitting at the bar after about 15 minutes and were going to order drinks, but I don't think the bartender realized we needed assistance (and to be fair, we didn't do a lot to flag her over - we kind of wanted to wait for our bay to be ready but just weren't sure how long it would take). After about 20 minutes, our bay was ready and they led us upstairs. The "bays" are areas with couches and a table divided up - they seat about 6ish people per. They have a selection of clubs for both men and women. Good drink list and food menu - and I appreciate the calorie counts being right there (although, WOW, it was hard to find a reasonably healthy food item!) Service was friendly, helpful, and generally present. Everyone at Top Golf is given a 'card' where you register and track your plays - you're supposed to keep the card for future visits. In general, the bay rentals are for about 2 hours, but you can choose to extend it (for a fee). If you are playing with multiple people, be sure to tap the screen to ensure you are playing for yourself and not someone else. The balls come out of this neat machine (vs. a bucket of balls which my husband tells me is the case with the Alexandria location). I read that you can get lessons, but be warned that if you're just going to go with friends, you better know what you're doing. We were lucky in that one of our friends loves golf and is pretty good at it, so he was able to help me out. I'd never golfed before other than mini golf, and I guess this is what's so great about Top Golf - you don't have to be good, you just need to want to learn and try not to hit anyone. I would definitely return! read more

We come here often with our three kids for a fun family day and usually it is great. Today's service was awful. The waitress came to say hi and said she would be right back to take orders. We waited over 20 minutes and then flagged down another server who took our order. Our food came out and was good as usual, but they didn't give us any utensils or plates. When we asked for forks, they literally brought one fork. We ordered six appetizers so definitely would have been nice to have plates and utensils! We felt as if we were bothering the waitress if we needed anything . Very disappointing service! read more

I took out my daughter and a few of her friends so very kid friendly! They had a blast! The appetizers were tasty especially the grilled wings. There is a "basement" level that has pool tables and a Nintendo wii if you're waiting for your bay! It was our first time and the attendant did show us how to get started! There are also "lefty" golf clubs but you have to ask for them! The "host" or "attendant" was slow on refills and clearing the table but we won't hold it against him, this time. Overall I can see how this place can be a hot spot!! Very cool!! read more

This place makes hitting golf balls more interesting and helps with practice for sure!

I've been to Top Golf quite a few times since they opened in Ashburn within the last few years. It is an expansive, 3-story driving range with a twist - they make a points-driven game out of hitting golf balls making it fun for serious golfers and for those who have never swung a club before. Renting a bay or two can get pretty pricey especially if you're going after hours, but you usually want to come here as a group, and split between a few people it's much more doable. They have a restaurant and bar inside as well as a bar and some lounge seating on a rooftop deck on the third floor. There is a pool table and some other table games on the bottom floor in case golf is just not really your thing. My boss took us out for a team lunch at Top Golf on a Friday and the service and food was great as always. I ordered the Crab Cake sliders and added a side of tater tots. The tots plus a side of chipotle aioli is a favorite of mine there. The crabcake was good too, but nothing that wowed me. I typically order the Fried Chicken sandwich which is always perfectly breaded and crisp. I've never been disappointed by Top Golf. It's a nice addition to the area whether you're looking for a good drink, some good food, or all of the above plus something to kill a couple hours of your day. read more

Let me start out by saying I'm not very good at golf, in fact I get excited if I make contact with the ball! When my husband suggested going here to try something new, I was hesitant. He sold me by saying he'd been to one in Dallas and they have fun drinks and snacks. He had me with that, so off we went! It was about 40 minutes from Germantown, but well worth the drive! Plenty of parking and since we got there around 11am, only a 15 minute wait, SCORE! (Note the wait increases exponentially in the evening, so go early!) We picked the top level and once we got to our spot the server was there almost immediately ready to take our food and drink orders. I just love day drinking! So the actual golfing part... They have clubs in each seating area, so you can pick your favorite club and start racking up points, or in my case, just trying to make contact! The people next to us weren't great either, so I felt a little better about my lack of skills! It was just my husband and I so we didn't get much down time in between drives, so I'd suggest bringing some friends, they have plenty of seating for a group of 4-6. Overall I was pleasantly surprised and had a great time! I look forward to another visit this summer. read more

Aside from the atmosphere, the service is sub par. Don't come here expecting great service. I wish I could rate this a little better, but as my second experience at a Top Golf, I've confirmed that they push drinks way to hard, when they need to focus on service in the bar or wait staff in the stalls. You will be forgotten about if you sit in the bar area and aren't drinking, and also if you're on on either end of the stalls golfing. It's unfortunate on a Saturday night the service was lacking since we all know Friday's and Saturday's are usually the busiest. Also, if you want mini golf, go to the Alex location. read more

Amazing experience. Went on a packed Saturday and when I say packed there wasn't enough space to move. But everything went great because the staff each and every member handled the busy day very well. The wait time was about 30 mins so went to the bar enjoyed a nice drink and guac and chips. I wouldn't have the guac and chips because they give you so many chips but not much guac and salsa and the chips were all cracked. :( Regardless it was still tasty! The bartenders were very friendly and made great drinks. I learned that I'm not the best golfer but I felt this place was pretty judge free lol. Golf was fun was $35 for 3 people which is a good deal a bit better than bowling I feel. Food was great quality everything tastes great fries are worth it completely very high quality and tasty burgers were juicy and the chicken was a lot of good flavor. Food is a bit small but filling and very presentable which makes it great for insta worthy pics! I recommend you come here for dessert too the injectable donuts are an experience! It's ($10) a bit pricey for mini donut but the experience is something you can't find at other places. Props to the servers for being attentive very friendly and nice. Great place for a nice round of golf and for a big group of people ! It's not a cheap day out but it's a well worth experience I would recommend everyone to try at least once! read more

Slow, terrible service, our waiter got our order wrong, disappeared for the whole time we were there and then rushed in apologizing for being so busy, but we literally saw him through the window chatting up the hostesses and the other waiters. I love Topgolf no matter where it is! Which makes me extremely happy they built one so close to me! This Topgolf is run of the mill and just like any other top golf you have been too. Where else can you go to have some drinks and shoot some balls for fun in the area?! Its a very modern place and you enter into the lobby where you can go to your right and immediately reserve a bay to use or if you aren't a "member" you have to go to the left and register. It is 5 bucks to register for their lifetime membership which basically gets you a card to use at the bays to pay with. You only use this card to pay for golf everything else is with your credit card or cash. The bays are heated so even if its a little chili you will be fine!! After reserving a bay someone will give you directions to the bay you are assigned on one of the three levels. If there is a wait don't be deterred it moves relatively quickly. I suggest going to the bar and watching people golf on the main level. Most people here don't golf regularly so it ends up being very entertaining. Once at your bay a worker should show you how to use the system if you are unfamiliar with it. You swipe your cards and can split the payment with your bay mates as you wish. A waitress/waiter will make their way over and take drink/food orders if you wish. The food is a bit pricey for what it is but its all part of the experience. Plus you don't have to eat! Drink prices are on par for NOVA so no complaint there. This time we ordered drinks and deserts. Drinks were great and we got the injectable donut holes and s'mores cookie sandwich. Both were amazing!! The injectable donut holes more than the s'mores cookie. They were cinnamon sugar donut holes that came with syringes filled with Bavarian cream, raspberry, and chocolate. GET THEM! The s'mores cookies were good but not life changing basically two cookies with marshmallow in between. If you're a s'mores fan go for it, if not pass. Overall this is a great place for anyone! From novice golfers to pros you can have tons of fun here with a great group of people! read more

I went here the second day it was open so I know they have some issues to work out, but the game itself was still fun. The wait was about 90 minutes to get a bay, which on a Sat night was fine. The bad part was we went to the bar to have a drink and some food while we waited. It took over 10 minutes to order a drink and the bar itself was not super busy, the bartenders were walking around back there, but not really paying attention to those sitting at the bar. When we finally did order a drink and some food both took a long time to get. The food that finally came out after about 45 min was the wrong order, I ordered a turkey burger and got a cheeseburger. When I told the girl who brought out the food it was wrong she just said sorry. The bartender said it would be a while if we wanted it fixed, so I just ate it. Despite having to wait so long for the food it came out cold, not warm, cold. So it clearly was done well before they brought it out. The service and food was definitely a one star. The game itself was fun though, although some of the balls were not registering, but I can live with that. I would go back in the future, but hopefully the staff will be a little better trained to deal with customers. read more

I've been to top golf before and thought that it was a neat concept; casual, lounge like atmosphere where you can hit some balls freely or in certain game modes all while enjoying on some good sips and eats in good company. I've heard nothing about good things about this Top Golf in Ashburn and was skeptical at first, but now I stand corrected. This Top Golf took everything from the Alexandria location and improved on it, which I didn't know was even possible. For starters, the place looks pretty! It's a modern designed 3 story building that is very eye appealing, especially at night when it lights up, kind of reminded me of cosmic bowling with a club like atmosphere. Other improvements which I applauded was the fact that you don't have to bring your clubs or rent balls, all you need to do is show up and rent out the space for hourly rates, which is genius, no more carrying balls and clubs around. Each golf space has a more intimate atmosphere with comfy couches and a closed off gate around it which can house a party up to six people. Keep in mind, when coming here, that you will most likely be waiting a while for you space. I came at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon and we were required to wait 2 & 1/2 hours, which I was totally fine with, since I can could leave and come back, and I had no other plans going on that day. It is totally fine though, make a day out of it with your party, go to the bar, eat some food, pregame on some drinks, lounge on the upstair rooftop, play pool, there are definitely others things to do to keep you busy while you wait for your hole. To review: this Top Golf is great, vastly improved upon the already great other locations. It can serve well for group of friends, birthday, date night, work group, or just about any other reason to get together. Just be open to the idea of waiting for a little bit and you'll be on your way to a hole-in-one! read more

Such a fun time and such awesome food! We also got lucky for a Friday evening since we had no wait whatsoever. It's probably because of the long weekend, though. I heard that it's nothing like that normally. But the zero wait time definitely added to our great experience! We got a bay on the middle level. The bottom level doesn't seem as fun because you won't really be able to see where your ball goes and the top level just seemed too high up and scary for us! We were really happy on the middle (main) level. Each bay has a small table, patio couch, rack where you can put your golf bags, the rental clubs (free to use), a TV screen, and the section where you hit the ball. We were able to squeeze 7 of us into one bay since we all wanted to play together. However, if we had any more people, we probably would've needed a second bay. The prices are $25/hour from Open-Noon, $35/hour from Noon-5, $45/hour from 5-Close. In order to keep score, you also need to buy a $5 play card but this is just a one-time expense! We stayed for two hours and felt like it was the perfect amount of time to hit some golf balls, eat an awesome meal, and socialize. On to the food! I got a sunrise burger and it was delicious. It's a cheeseburger with bacon and a fried egg, topped with onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. It was a big size and the buns were amazing. I ordered my burger well-done because I was sort of skeptical about what the quality of the food would be. It came out well-done but it was still juicy and delicious, not dried out. That's a win in my book. If you are eating a meal here, definitely get this! I got tater tots as my side and those were fantastic as well. We also got fried pickles and nachos to share which were pretty good. The service was great and prompt. Towards the end of our 2-hours, it got darker (around 8:30PM) and even though the lights inside the bay turned on, it became impossible to see where you hit your ball if you hit it high up. You can see it but then it just seems to disappear into the sky. Also, at around 9PM, the music got turned on way loudly and I could hardly hear myself speak over the music. I'd like to come during the day and try it out late at night but really the time we went was spectacular. The sky was beautiful tonight! read more

We to TopGolf in Ashburn Va, with some co-workers, hasn't been opened long. So this is a new concept in the golf driving range world... get points for hitting the "colored" area coordinating with the distance you are from the tee. For instance, hit the 20yd, then move on to 60yds, 85yds... 160yds. You can play against your friends also in your "pod" to give your buds a rivalry. The service staff, are all polo wearing teens & young adults. Pretty attentive for the most part. Food was very good "bar food". Goes well with drinks & golf and laughter. Fun can be had at any age as long as you can hit a golf ball. The setup is three levels (1sst floor, 2nd, 3rd) with bays facing the driving range in each. Your golf ball has a microchip inside which is tracked by the sensors around the hole you're shooting on. Miss you hole, and hit another? DEDUCT POINTS... makes for an interesting night. I've also added pics/video. I'm hoping the Town of Cary allows this three story structure to come in to the dying Cary Towne Center, would help liven the place up some. I'll be back!! read more

The manager here "Brian" is extremely rude and unprofessional and I found the staff a bit unorganized, aside from our waitress who was more than pleasant. It was my first time here with my husband, last Friday . First we went in an hour before we were scheduled to see if we could request to be on the 3rd floor, the lady at the front said sure no problem, I then got a text for the second floor, we went back to the counter and was told they made a mistake and had to wait for 20 minutes while it became available, so we sat and grabbed a drink at the bar. Fast forward towards the end of the night I am finishing my food and my husband a drink he ordered while playing at the front, I hear a guy yelling from behind me and I turn to see he was yelling at us saying " your game is finished so you need to hurry with what you're doing so we can make the station available so for the next guest" with a rude and aggressive tone. And we are like okay? We are finishing our food and drinks that we literally paid for are we supposed to pick it up and leave? ( the waitress later confirmed that if your game is over they expect you to gather your food and move somewhere else so they can clean it the tables for the next group, like what?) Long story short he walked away after we kept going back and forth but after all the money we spent there you are basically literally shoved from the booth as soon as the timer goes off whether you still have food & drinks or not. And treated horribly by management. This will be my first and last time coming here. Omg! Can we talk about parking first? I think it is super nice theres valet for $5, if I knew they block off one third of parking lot for valet purpose, and had cash available, I would've but I didn't have any cash.. NOT ENOUGH PARKING SPOTS!!! and I saw at least 5-7 cars making circles with me but in different directions. There was a small line for valet as well (2-3 cars), most likely people who got tired of circling around and gave up on finding one. Good news is they do have ATMs so if you decide to valet, you can get cash inside and pay for transaction/ATM fee and valet fee $5 plus tips when you pick up your car. When we went downstairs to find out table, I must say I was surprised how modern, clean and lively it is inside. Downstairs, you go outside, they have small entertainment area with pool table, and others things as well. Bathrooms were very clean and well kept despite how many people are on the same level and theres only 3 stalls. Clean bathroom=happy customers :). Every station/area had flat screen tvs! Awesome computer screen to keep track of players , scores, and etc. Super fancy, totally unlike the one in Springfield/Alexandria. haha. Food was reasonably priced in my opinion, most appetizers and entrees were priced anywhere between $9-15 and for a $1, you can add extra fries too. Everyone enjoyed the food, came out fairly quick (30-40 minutes). I read yelp reviews before coming and many complained food wait was about 60-90 minutes on weekends. I ordered mini cheeseburger sliders and as you can see in one of the photos, they forgot to put the patties and cheese on one...................how can you forgot the patties? its cheeseburger sliders for gods sake! Waitress took the plate back and brought out a "brand new ONE slider" and said the kitchen sincerely apologized. Thankfully it didn't take no more than 5-10 minutes. A lot better than what I remembered about the Alexandria location. If its your first time here, the staff does a good job of showing you what to do. Its setup like bowling where you can have multiple people at a hitting bay and there are different games you can chose to play. For non-golfers, this seems to work very well as you don't even need to bring clubs with you since they're provided. As a golfer though, I was disappointed that the golf balls don't fly as far as normal golf balls. I know my iron distances for each of my clubs and was consistently a half-club short. The targets are also very huge, so hitting them didn't really give me too much satisfaction unless within 10 feet. But, overall, it was kinda fun. The food was actually pretty good and tasted freshly made. Chicken/waffle sliders come with syrup and white gravy to dip; otherwise its pretty dry. The chorizo/egg sliders were excellent, although not as dry as the chicken/waffle, it could use something to give it a little moistness. read more

We had a great experience at Top Golf! We planned our wedding reception here and are glad we did. The service was excellent, and Stephanie, our event planner was a pleasure to work with. Our guests loved the food, atmosphere, drink and food selections and everyone had a blast. People were skeptical about this venue for a reception but afterwards we got so many compliments on how fun it was. The staff were very accommodating to our group and provided everything we needed for this event. I would pick this venue again all over and would recommend it to any other brides who need a back up plan for a reception venue :)!!! read more
