George came out this morning before 8 am to give me a quote for removing our 30' Norfolk Island one tree and beat the other company that we were thinking of going with. He said he would have it done today and his guys came out within the hour. They trimmed it down and cut it to just where we wanted. George and his guys cleaned everything up and were done by 9 am. (Our neighbor saw them working and had them come trim up his palms, too.) George gave me a great price for work that was done quickly and correctly. Much appreciated! read more

George and David are very professional and get the job done super quick. They even came earlier than expected which was a plus for us. We needed 7 of our banana trees in our back yard to be cut down and they did it all under 30 minutes. Within the 30 minutes they were able to cut it down all the way to the roots. They also cleaned the back yard and watered the flower beds for us, which is super nice of them. They probably spent a total of 60 minutes here. Quick and easy service. The whole team was very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend them. And the price is very decent. read more

Excellent company, quality and service! The original company I had scheduled flaked without any notice. I had my husband call 5 other yelp referrals with either no call back or time conducive to my schedule. Then I tried calling Top Unit, not only did they fit me into their busy day...they showed up at the time they said they would show up with professional equipment and did an amazing job. This will be my forever tree trimming company. read more

Requested a quote and received a message right away. George was very professional over the phone and was able to schedule us in within the week. David provided excellent service and was very professional. I would hire them again. Highly recommended

Very friendly, worked fast and very reasonable rates. My job was very small -- remove tree trunk (4 ft high and 1 ft dia) and roots but too difficult for me to remove using hand tools. The after the trunk was cut down to the root, a grinder was used to remove the root down about 12 inches below the ground level. He also ground out adjacent roots near the surface. Then the area was cleaned up. All evidence of the tree was gone. read more

Thankful for the reasonable service. Received a quote and service was provided on following day. Appreciated that they cut exactly what I requested. Speedy clean up too. Kudos for the communication and clean up of any leaves that fell into neighbors yard. read more

Customer service was great, and the crew did an excellent job. I submitted a YELP request on Saturday, received reply within an hour for in-person estimate on Sunday, then they came out Monday to do the project. They cut some tall juniper trees in the front and back yard to my specifications and pruned our avocado tree. The crew cleaned up right after finishing. It all went smoothly and we were very pleased with the results. I highly recommend Top Unit for tree services. read more

I had 2 big trees in my yard that had to be removed. I called Top Tree out and they gave me a very reasonable quote and said they could even come out the next day to do the job. They came out on scheduled day, punctual, on time and ready to work. I had a lot of garden figures and pots in my yard and they were kind enough to help me relocate all of it to a safe location and even took extra steps to protect my koi pond with plywood. In the past, other tree guys would just cover it with a tarp. 5 men showed up and within 6 hours took down both trees and grinded the stump. After finishing they did a decent job of cleaning up. Overall, very pleased with their work and I don't think anyone can beat their pricing. George was also very pleasant to deal with and very charismatic. read more

I'd been meaning to call around to get a quote to have 2 big palm trees removed from the front planter of our yard. As luck would have it a neighbor was having Top Unit do the same for a large palm in their backyard. I stopped George as he was moving around one of their trucks and he was super nice and walked over and gave me an AWESOME "same day" quote! It was a deal we just could not pass up so we took it. When they finished their original job, they came and took care of both trees for me. They were quick, safe and cleaned everything up. I will be using them again for some landscaping work.
