George and his crew did a beautiful job trimming my jungle of a yard. Will definitely use them again

Praise to this family owned business. George & David were kind, courteous, honest and efficient. They made recommendations concerning our termite infested tree that had the potential to fall onto our house causing extensive damage and repair costs. They were timely and efficient, starting the project and continuing until completion, including thorough cleanup afterwards. I highly recommend this company for tree removal and stump grinding services. A+ work! Pricing was fair and reasonable. Good value for the fee charged. This is the third time we have used their services and they always provide consistent service. We have recommended them to our neighbor and they are also very pleased with the service. read more

I loved how friendly and professional they were. I totally recommend them for any tree service you'll need. I will definitely contact them again for any future help. They left my tree really beautiful and I still have enough shade to relax under the tree but what I also love the most is that they did not leave a mess!!! -Long Beach, CA- read more

Great service. Arrived on time for the estimate. Arrived on time the day of the appointment. Performed tree and palm tree trimming services as described and agreed upon. Crew clean up was fantastic. Services I've used in the past have left saw dust mess through out my yard. Top Unit Tree Service was also fast and efficient. read more

Top Unit Tree Service just transformed our overgrown, weed-filled yard (and that's an understatement) into a delight. These guys work hard and take pride in their work. On the first visit George asked what our vision was, then turned that into a reality. He and his team go the extra mile, and we are proud to recommend them highly! read more

Did a great job; fast and professional. They removed a fairly big tree w/stump grind from my back yard. Very fair on the price, highly recommend. read more

This is the friendliest and most professional group of tree experts I've used. I will definitely be using them again and will recommend their services to friends and family. They removed 3 overgrown palm trees in about an hour and a half. They protected the house and other plants from debris. The stump grinding was very well done and the clean up left the area as if the tree was never there. This is definitely a five star company. read more

George and his boys at Top Unit never disappoint. I had a ginormous ficus and moderate sized avocado tree that I had had enough of. The avocado tree was slightly diseased and the large ficus began posing plumbing issues so they were both needing to go. My father phoned George on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning 8am sharp, George was present with an unbeatable quote. Job started at 8:30a and completed by 1:30pm. Tree and stump removal complete. Thanks again George and Top Unit. You guys are the best!!! read more

This was a job most tree services never face. Two other companies couldn't even come up with estimates. Nobody else could beat Top Unit's price. George and the crew knocked it out of the park. On time, ready to work, set up and hard at it in a flash. They were diligent, professional, and efficient. Clean-up done, just as promised. read more

Highly recommend. I had a huge 70' pine tree in a small space in my backyard, and it needed to be removed (due to damage it was creating). George was very professional, from the estimate to the completed job..said and did everything I was hoping for. He showed me his State contractors license & proof of insurance. I checked them out online. They showed up on time and helped me move all of my stuff out of the way. All of the Top Unit employees were polite & worked hard & well to get the job done. They helped me move my travel trailer out & back in again & moved my portable garage temporarily out of the way in to the alley. Amazing! I asked for a slice of the removed tree for me to make a table & also some slices to do a path..they did this too! Look no further, this is a great company and group of employees for any tree job! Thank you Top Unit! read more

George, David and crew work their asses off!! These guys don't mess around, they did a great job. They trimmed and topped out 2 huge Chinese Elms, and did it for a reasonable price. We've had these trees done by 3 different Tree Service Companies in the past 5 years. None of them did nearly as good as Top Unit did!! Top Unit is the only tree service we will use use from here on. Glad we found them!!! Happy to support such good people. read more

George at Top Unit Tree Service offers GREAT service. I've used Top Unit twice and the come ready to tackle whatever the job is. They removed 10 queen palms and some giant banana trees with ease and at the 2nd job they removed a wild jungle of IVY that took over the entire side yard! They showed up on time and they took it ALL out and cleaned up before they left. Did a great job and will defiantly recommend and will use them again! Thanks for a job well done! read more

Highly recommend George and Top Unit Tree Service as I had such a great experience with them. I called them for help the Saturday before Christmas and stopped by to provide an estimate and complete the job the same day! George the owner and his team were very nice and professional. My tree removal project is a little hard due to the fruit tree in the planter. So it was not possible to have the stump grinding. Only they were welling to do the stump up by "manually" instead of using chemical stump killer. Because I don't want to have a chemical pollution in my garden. From the time the owner George received my text and photo of the tree I wanted to remove. He gave me a quote and his brother David came out same day evening to give me an estimate (the price was fair) in person. David and his partner did a good job with profession and efficiency. Top Unit is the only tree service I will use from here on. Very happy I found them! Highly recommend. read more

This is my second experience with George and his impressive knowledge of trees and shrubs. They did excellent work again at our home yesterday, paying close attention to all my requests as well as adding their better suggestions. They also tackled a complex job of weed removal on my rooftop deck planters that all other landscape services shied away from due to high degree of difficulty. Not the cheapest in town, but certainly the best. Two of my neighbors now use them as well. read more

hired them once. they were great with price and efficiency. tried to hire them again two more times and can barely get a call back. we schedule then they don't show up. they said they would come at a certain time and no one shows up. getting really sick of wasting my time. read more

George and his crew are excellent. We had some major tree work to be done and they came to our rescue. Within 5 days they cut down and removed the stumps of 5 80 foot trees and planted over 50 trees for us. They also ran sprinkler lines. All work was excellent and they were very cautious during the removal. It was no easy task. They put down plywood to protect our pavers and took steps to protect our house and the neighbors. Other tree services wouldn't do the job but Top Unit stepped up to the plate. They are very clean (cleaned up every day) and left the area cleaner than they found it. They will be our tree guys from now one. Great prices, very professional and all his staff are very friendly. You can't go wrong with Top Unit! read more

Our second time using Top Unit. They were great! Very fair pricing and they explained exactly what they were going to do before the job started. They came on time (and even figured in traffic from the nearby school) and left pretty much exactly when they said they would. Everything was moved (and moved back) carefully and the trees look great! Thanks again Top Unit! read more

Punctual very professional, the pricing is fair and the job performed was excellent. Thank you

Top Unit- George Poe, has been cutting, trimming and sculpting my large Chinese Elm for years. Beautiful, professional work. Arrives on time, employees are friendly and professional, cut/trim/sculpting is done as to not damage the tree and bring out its beauty, care is taken for safety of my property and their employees, fair/reasonable prices and best of all they clean up, chip wood and haul it all away. Wouldn't trust my gorgeous tree to anyone else. read more

I had them come out and give me an estimate on trimming my Chinese Elm. I have another estimate $ 375 and without hesitation he said I will bet any price so he dropped it to 350. I tried to get ahold of him for about 2 weeks. I finally got a hold of him and we set up time to trim my tree. When he showed up he said we are only cutting the bottom. I said no you are also thinning it out. Then he said I said 450 I said no 350 then he said I can't do it for that it has to be 450. Well I have lost a day of pay and I am looking for another tree trimmer. I had mentioned that my neighbor tree had some branches that had falling so he went there and I let my neighbor know to get the estimate in writing but he change the price on me. I have learn get the estimate in writing! read more
