Came here because a coworker recommended it and I will never be back. I picked my color from their dip selection and it ended up being a completely different shade than what the sample looked like. Apparently it faded, which I get, but how about replacing it with an accurate one? How many samples are inaccurate? The owner told me to come back and they'll fix it which I did and she personally did my nails herself. Within one week four of my nails chipped and/or broke on the tips. I had been getting dip done for years out west and my nails have never broken like this before. My nails have never broken, ever! I would go 3-4 weeks without problems. She did a hasty job on my dip and she used her nail drill to remove my original dip, which hurt like crazy. They also don't pour your color into a separate container when they do your nails here... I am so dissatisfied with my service and I wish I never went here to begin with. Don't waste your money. read more

Well this is my first time in Detroit and immediately after getting off the plane I decided I needed to get my nails done this was my first stop and first experience in the city. When I came in the place was absolutely packed every chair on the male side and every chair on the pedicure side so we had to wait about 15 minutes. Once we got started it seemed like we were playing musical chairs several technicians sat down moved around between myself and my friend and it was a Nother 15 minutes before they even got started. The gentleman that did my pedicure did a great job but he didn't speak much English which was fine we were able to communicate enough. The salon is been elation seem to be lacking a bit because I found my eyes watering and allergies acting up as the smells were pretty strong. Unfortunately my girlfriend was able to get done long before I did and it was almost another hour and 15 minutes before I had my nails done yes an hour and 15 minutes because they said only one technician could do acrylic nails? I didn't want tips I want my natural nails and out of 15 technicians that were there only one person could service me? While I was very pleased with my pedicure and my nails we spent a total of three hours here which is absolutely ridiculous even for salon that is this busy they had more than enough technicians. Had it not been for the exceptionally slow service I probably would have bumped the stars up but in addition to that they charged $50 for ombre nails which I thought was exceptionally high this also include a five dollar soak off. My suggestion to management is that they should be a little more customer friendly greet customers and guest as they come in and if they are going to be exceptionally long delays at the very least offer something to drink inform them of the weight and not just leaving customers to their own thoughts upset that time is just passing by and seems one is being overlooked. read more

My daughter and I decided to get a manicure as a treat to ourselves. We did not have appointments and fortunately we were able to get in right away. We picked out colors and that so where the good part of the review ends. My manicure was done with no effort from the nail tech. He barely did anything to clean my nails. As I told my friends, it looks like a 10 year old did my nails. The worst mani I have ever had. My daughters nails were pretty bad, too. My daughter took the polish off a couple hours later because she said they looked so bad and it was embarrassing. We will not return. I hate leaving bad reviews. I have been going here off and on, mostly on for a few years now. The service is hit or miss, but consistently mediocre. Also, they are not upfront about pricing. I feel gauged whenever I go to one of the techs I don't know. If I return, I'm going to start asking for detail about my charges. It's also hard to get in with some of the better ones because the manager or whomever answers the phone is unhelpful with making appointments, leaving you at the random mercy of next available tech. It's a great nail salon, but I wouldn't call it spectacular. It's ALWAYS busy, every chair is always filled, which can be a good thing or bad thing. The pedicures are definitely awesome, with the hot stones and hot towels (the Deluxe pedi), the shellac color selection was a bit skimpy though, compared to other salons nearby. One thing I do like about this is that each person gets a new set of tools out of a hospital type sterile tools pouch. Whether they're actually cleaned or not, I have no idea, but I'm just going to pretend it is. As far as the actual shellac manicure itself, it's a mixed bag. The first time I went, the person helping me did a great job (but I forgot his name). The second time I went, although they looked pretty, I don't really like that my nails don't get painted all the way to the bottom, making them look like they're growing out already when I just walked out of the salon. And of course I didn't notice that until I left. So, it's a toss up as to whether I'll go there again or not. There are just so many options to choose from.
